Instead of using tape on the edges of the bottle, you can use a hot iron and melt them so they won’t be sharp .

Muchas gracias, les pondré uno para alimentos y otro para el agua. En los meses de invierno hay poca o nada de comida para los pajaritos. En el otoño pasado dejé muchas uvas sin cosechar, me dió gusto ver que se alimentaron por meses.

it looks good, but... Here, we have ravens, crows and magpies... and they leave nothing to the small ones.
I make a smaller hole in the bottle and only on one side but it is big enough for small birds to get inside. Also I hide the bottle among the branches so bigger birds can't steal the food

Слишком большие окна в кормушке. Если пойдёт снег или дождь, то весь корм внутри намокнет и снег засыпется . Я делаю одно окошко и сверху оставляю козырёк, чтобы снег не попадал внутрь.
