They have officious little notices ordering you not to eat or drink, but don't look after their buses. Touch wood, they have been a little better in recent years, but there need to me more standards set on both reliability and presentation.

This train scene is probably the only one in the film where we see a more colorful and lively environment, almost like a small glimpse of beauty in an entirely decaying and gray setting.

There's a lot of smart scene details I like about this. The station is run-down and barely-maintained, but there are telescreens everywhere. Despite the movie taking place in 1984 and having been made in 1984, when somewhat modern electric trains were becoming commonplace and the oldest were diesel, the locomotive is some crappy barely held together steam museum piece, which is consistent with The Party deliberately 'freezing' time and history and atrociously misplacing civil resources for the sake of war and control. The cars are also run-down and rusted, but the children sing as if they're traveling in utmost comfort, since one of the major themes in the book is that the young may as well live in a different reality than everyone else.

@ I live in Iraq, not Egypt, in Iraq, the virus situation is getting worse just because of some idiots, the government did implement a "curfew", but I don't call it a "curfew", in the day you can do whatever you want because there isn't a curfew until 6 pm (evening), which I think is ridiculous.
