Monday: Rap 'Em Tuesday: Kass Kass Wednesday: Rastrut Thursday: Jam A Delic Friday: Rhythmix Simply put the Golden Era of the 90s in Kenya... Nairobi to be specific! Thanks Jimmi for your work!
Jimmi Gathu was basically what Spotify and RUclips are today. That's how big his influence was to what we listened to and watched in terms of music. No cap!
I am loving this series. KTN was definitely a game changer in the entertainment scene. Rhythmix and Jam a delic were my favourite. I still watch the Parenthood and other KTN shows to this day. I am yet to watch all the CTA's but this is my favourite so far.
True since KTN was available in Nairobi only and their UHF Signal was great. Then came the birth of tv boosters example ( nippon America). That’s how some of us are able to follow and relate his and our music journey. If he only knew how God used him to impact Kenya 🇰🇪 music Industry. Thanks. Tell Baba Lucas you will hide his face (Ogopa Dj’s)
Waaaaaah! Literally grew up on Club Kiboko way back then! I remember the excitement I had when our new digz got electricity juu I could go back to binging on Club Kiboko in the AM. Asante Jimmi!
21:42 This is the beauty of Intellectual Property Management. Protecting intellectual property can lead to financial benefits for creatives. By controlling the use and distribution of their works, they can negotiate licensing agreements, secure royalties, and receive compensation for authorized use. This can contribute to their income and financial stability. How I wish we would experience the same in the Kenyan Music Industry...I believe we can follow in the footsteps of the US, UK, and South Africa
