King David doesn't understand Tax Law. As per company's act, business pay Sars tax deductions from ONLY lawful owed salary/commission/incentive given to employees. So by paying sars on his behalf SABC is actually acknowledging that indeed we owe this good sir and is rightful to receive that money Otherwise he should have received full amount then he pay his tax on it by himself. if SABC wasn't agreeing on give him (meaning he stole, SABC shouldn't have paid sars then) "contradiction by SABC" Remember SABC is not his appointed tax accountant to do his Sars books OR SARs payment (if he stole it) except and or only if they lawfully owe him salary/incentive/commision (then they have the right pay his tax) for that matter respectively

Unfortunately that is not correct, the Board cannot just make up policies as they go and it becomes word of truth. In any organization a change of policy especially one that relates to employees generally needs to involve HR, legal and department heads. Even Exco members cant just say something and it becomes policy
1. "Outside the scope of employment". Not SABC. Chanel 404 which has to make it's own policy. 2. Allowed to appell because there's prospects that a different court might reach a different decision. Lost on technicalities. 3. "Amend". Can't amendment what doesn't already exist. Lawyers can ruin your life sometimes. Judges Allowed him an appeal and his lawyers messed up the process
Review doesn't mean termination of contracts... the fact that it says 3 years, it doesn't mean you can't review... there are exit clauses, terminations, etc if the person is not performing... He solved Freelancers problems... practical... that's Hlaudi
He should have thought of that when He was increasing his own salaries and with his board giving himself millions for doing the very job that He earns an increased salary for and for giving Guptas our money with his breakfast scam.
SA musicians owe a lot to this man, they need to do a concert in honour of him. If it wasn't for him, they, wouldn't be living it up like they are now.
The dialogue between the two gentlemen regarding SARS highlights the flaws and corruption within its systems and processes, exposed by Mr. Motsoeneng. Meanwhile, Mr. Mashabela defends it, seemingly unaware of these issues-an unfortunate reflection of the shortcomings in our educational system. We learn everyday from everyone
Another masterpiece from David, thank u King David Hlaudi must be given his money, the judgement is nonsensical. Hlaudi dd not steal any money he was rewarded for his good work
Indeed the courts are carried by human beings who, too, can make mistakes. I hope the courts reconsider their decision so that Mr Hlaudi may be given his chance to feel heard, whether he wins or loses. The man has clearly stated, he will accept the outcome as long as he has been given a chance to be heard. Thank you Mr David for making us cringe through the tough questioning, but they did help to bring light to this complicated and unfortunate case of Mr Hlaudi at the end. We pray for him and his family to bounce back up stronger. It would be nice to see the artist who benefited from the 90%, creation of the channels etc, rise up and show up for him publicly and/or privately and support through these tough times.
If the whole R11m (part paid to Hlaudi and part paid to SARS) was illegal, both parties need to pay the money back. If Hlaudi is expected to return money with interest, so does SARS. I completely agree with Hlaudi on that. Also, if board reaches a resolution, legal must take necessary steps and amend the policy as the board moved. He makes sense
Hlaudi clearly at this point had you David. Every policy amendment comes as a result of an approval of the Board as the authority empowered to amend and pass policy. 😅
I've followed king David for a while and always loved his interview style.. but here he is so biaised it's disappointing, you can tell he also spoke with and is still friends with these people working on Hlaudi's demise. 😢

A true sense of education vs intelligence, Mr Hlaudi always without fail brings evidence on interviews, David you are failing me today, resolutions by a board means a new way of conducting business, thus a policy. Those minutes states clearly in an understandable language, amend old with the new since they decided to pay the Man.

Umculo waseMzansi usudlalwa 90% siyakubonga ndoda singamaciko esintu 🎵 🎶 🎵
Mr Hlaudi is brilliant ❤ and he knows his story.
If courts are unfair we have nowhere to run.If They can do to Hlaudi they can do to me and u
The Board is the Highest decision making body, as such its resolutions becames POLICY. HLAUDI IS ON POINT.
I hear his point CLEAR...Even the advancement post that meeting confirms such
Unfortunately that is not correct, the Board cannot just make up policies as they go and it becomes word of truth. In any organization a change of policy especially one that relates to employees generally needs to involve HR, legal and department heads. Even Exco members cant just say something and it becomes policy
That is not how it works bafanas, mara in Zuma's world it works like that
When you think "outside the scope of employment", you must immediately think about the "please call me" case
Review doesn't mean termination of contracts... the fact that it says 3 years, it doesn't mean you can't review... there are exit clauses, terminations, etc if the person is not performing...
He solved Freelancers problems... practical... that's Hlaudi
Amapiano owe their existence to Hlaudi Motsoeneng. I wish they could find a way to fight for this guy.
I took so much from Mr hlaudi and I will carry it with me for the longest time I'll even apply it to my kids going forward
As Hlaudi says I'm practical and solutions seekers , that's how we need leaders
When he said " I don't have money . SABC took my money. I have zero".
I really felt the pain😢
Eish 😢
He should have thought of that when He was increasing his own salaries and with his board giving himself millions for doing the very job that He earns an increased salary for and for giving Guptas our money with his breakfast scam.
God is amazing good ppl having a PHD doesn’t mean you smart God gives you brains not School
Hlaudi is a pure leader
We love you Baba, keep fighting, Wishing you all the best
wow....i have massive respect for this Transfomer
Anyone discussing negotiating on behalf of our country take tlaudi with he is a master
SA musicians owe a lot to this man, they need to do a concert in honour of him. If it wasn't for him, they, wouldn't be living it up like they are now.
Very strong character this guy….he revolutionised / decolonised SABC
You can't afford to hate Hlaudi "Mr 90 %"
The dialogue between the two gentlemen regarding SARS highlights the flaws and corruption within its systems and processes, exposed by Mr. Motsoeneng. Meanwhile, Mr. Mashabela defends it, seemingly unaware of these issues-an unfortunate reflection of the shortcomings in our educational system.
We learn everyday from everyone
Hlaudi is always on point 💯
Hlaudi's patriotism is both funny and dope 🤣🤣🤣
Very enthusiastic man l like his vibe
The real Content Creator 💯💯. South African production content took stage
This guy needs our support 😢 he has done alot for SABC 😢
Aluta Continua…Black excellence at work…My brother for life…❤
This man talks the talk he takes action unlike our politicians
My king,I am happy to see him here.
Another masterpiece from David, thank u King David
Hlaudi must be given his money, the judgement is nonsensical. Hlaudi dd not steal any money he was rewarded for his good work
This guy is leadership. Musicians should have stood by him.
I'm afraid Musicians or artists, are not patriotic, they only care for all themselves sadly
Mashabela want hlaudi to be wrong so bad. He is emotionally invested, I hope he is not getting paid to do this to hlaudi
One of the best mind Mr hlaudi
The man raised more thank 800 mil, what they want from him is small change…
I deeply admire him as a genuine leader who remains steadfast and loyal to his people. A patriot with South African characteristics.
❤💯
A patriot would not SELL public archives and pocket R33million for himself. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Disappointed with David’s bias this time. First time I see it happen though.
David is still working for SABC. The man is trying to protect his bread.
😊 I always draw strength from Hlaudi thanks Mashabela
I think They took on the wrong man this time,I hope Mr Hlaudi bounces back stronger than ever💪🏾
I've followed king David for a while and always loved his interview style.. but here he is so biaised it's disappointing, you can tell he also spoke with and is still friends with these people working on Hlaudi's demise. 😢
David tried to discredit this man but he dismally failed, one can tell that he got a wrong script but thank God hlaudi dealt with him without education 🙌🙌🙌
Ya we know it's bra Dave bit honestly you're right...and I like that he mentions that he likes people that disagree with him though bra Dave didn't directly disagree but you could tell his part of the SABC camp and funny enough he's still benefiting le nou
I personally love Hlaudi.
Hlaudi for President ❤
A true sense of education vs intelligence, Mr Hlaudi always without fail brings evidence on interviews, David you are failing me today, resolutions by a board means a new way of conducting business, thus a policy. Those minutes states clearly in an understandable language, amend old with the new since they decided to pay the Man.
I think the below STATE OWNED ENTERPRISES
REMUNERATION GUIDELINES is what the courts used to arrive at their unfortunate conclusion. Please read the whole thing, not just the first few lines. Thank you
According to www.gov.za/sites/default/files/gcis_document/201409/seo-remuneration0.pdf
Boards are responsible for adopting remuneration policies and practices in accordance with this guideline. The policies and practices should be demonstrably aligned with the corporate objectives, business strategy, shareholders compact and reviewed regularly.
Remuneration Committees should be established in accordance with the provisions of the guideline and King II principles of Corporate Governance. They should comprise of independent directors and external committee members who bring independent thought and scrutiny to all aspects of remuneration. It is important to maintain a constructive and timely dialogue between boards and the shareholder regarding remuneration policies and practices.
Main Provisions
Remuneration committees should adopt the guideline and remuneration committee guidelines as their terms of reference, incorporating the Model Terms of Reference for Board Committees as contained in Appendix V of King 2002. Where any provision of the Model Terms of Reference for Board Committees as contained in Appendix V of King 2002 are contradictory to the guideline and the remuneration committee guidelines, the provisions of the guideline the remuneration committee guidelines should be adopted.
Remuneration committees are responsible for ensuring that the mix of incentives reflects the company’s needs, establishes an appropriate balance between fixed and variable remuneration, and is based on targets that are stretching, verifiable and relevant. They should satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of recorded performance measures that govern vesting of variable remuneration.
They should establish effective procedures for disclosure and communication of strategic objectives, which enables the shareholder to take an informed and considered view of remuneration policy and its implementation.
They should ensure that remuneration levels properly reflect the contribution of executives and be rigorous in selecting an appropriate comparator group. They should guard against unjustified windfalls and inappropriate gains arising from incentives.
They should consider legal redress where performance achievements are subsequently found to have been significantly misstated so that incentives should not have been paid.
They should also pay particular attention to arrangements for senior executives who are not board members but have a significant influence over the company’s ability to meet its strategic objectives.
But if the board approve it , Hlaudi is right
"If I lose everything fighting for justice it doesn't matter"
What a man !
They will put you in jail in the end but we real black people will always look up to you and and take courage when we remember your resolve and determination
This man reminds me of Mr. Collins Letswalo ..
They are transformers ❤
i strongly disagree with bra David. sars must return the money.
He’s not pressing him he’s playing a devils advocate….it makes the interview to be heated up and increase the emotional response from the main man…it’s not personal
@hlux5755 I never said he is pressing him. I agree with everything you say but on the sars matter, as a Professional Accountant myself, sars must return that money, because they have not right taxing money that has been now taken back. That's all
I always love listening to this man
But David why should he repay 11 million which when only received 6.7 million. The other money is with SARS and therefore they should have been joined in the proceedings, that's double jeopardy and unjust.
Bro, David is so biased in this interview it’s difficult to watch.
Yho he stressed me shem
Tlaudi is the king of sabc. Kings rule they dont bowdown, keep going tlaudi
David, you sound like a hired gun. I'm starting to doubt the independence of this channel.
My thoughts exactly..he was pushing an agenda and the agenda was destroy this man... you were playing a jonalist Mashabela not a podcaster that we know... you normally let your guests speak freely telling their stories bt with Mr Hlaudi you were throwing questions as if your job depend on those questions
I also feel Iike that 😢
Thank you King David, your interview aproach has help many of us who did not have a chance to work close & understand this Legend. This is a man of stature. He stood tall to your grilling. It shows he was a subject specialist on the area he was leading. SABC was truly transformed in his era.
It has always been clear why they Hate this man, his ability to clear things notch.
Maluti stand up🙌🔥058
From David's reading there, the board did approve the policy. The minutes are straight forward
