- For this video I am going to be unboxing and reviewing the 4K picture for my latest 4K Blu-ray Steelbook pickup of Contagion. I will also be showing 4K comparisons against the previous Blu-ray.

I pre ordered this but have not had the time to watch it yet had it on bluray for a number of years im glad it is a good transfer remember re watching this at the start of the corona virus scary how close it actually is thanks Keth for another great video.

Got mine the other day, surprised how much effort they put into the steelbook. Wasn't expecting gloss and debossing. It's a very scary film like you said, another great non horror film is Threads, but you've probably heard of it. Great unboxing, mate.
Hey Aaron. Everything about this release surprise me. As you mentioned the Steelbook looks great but the 4K transfer is absolutely extraordinary and I wasn't expecting that at all. Well, this sounds like a must get movie on 4K. I only have this double feature of it with Outbreak on DVD, so I should get this one. Your story about seeing it in the movie theater sounded scary, but at least you can laugh at that now. The movie probably had everyone on the edge after seeing it when it first came out. From what you said I now have to get The Fugitive also on 4K. I always liked The Fugitive but never owned it and now I have to get it. Great review and the steelbook looks really stunning.
Honestly Dax if you pick up this movie and The Fugitive on 4K you are going to be seeing something rather spectacular in terms of 4K picture quality. As for contagion the movie itself like I said in the video it's probably one of the scariest non horror movies you're ever likely to see. You would not believe how accurate it is especially when you stack it up against everything that's happened with covid. I really do hope you give it a go

I love both movies but this one is definitely the more grounded of the two and I honestly cannot praise the movie enough. I never thought it could ever look as good as it does on this release. Definitely worth checking out Angelo. Thank you so much my friend for stopping by

Trust me David you will not believe how good this movie looks on 4k. My jaw literally dropped when the movie started and like I said in the video it is so incredibly relevant for today. I really do hope you pick it up

It's frightening how accurate this movie feels. It was always a scary movie but it's even more so now. I honestly cannot praise it enough. It's made even better now with this fantastic 4K transfer

It's true about that film Keith how it called so many things beforehand and I did see it for the first time a few years ago when it blew up on streaming. I remember saying to you Keith that I thought that steelbook had a cool unique design when I first saw it. I hope to pick it up sometime to see this transfer.

Honestly Michael it's a perfect release. The Steelbook looks fantastic. The movie is great and the 4K transfer is astonishing. You're in for a treat my friend
I remember this movie Keith, it's really good and too close to real life. I felt so bad for Kate Winslet in this, not going to say no more because of spoilers. The steelbook looks really nice, I like the color scheme. a great cast in this as well. So glad warner have done a good job on this film.
I felt the exact same way about Kate Winslet. It's really frightening to watch this movie especially when you consider everything we've gone through. Yes it's a bit too close for home. The Steelbook was a surprise but nothing near a surprising as it's 4K transfer. If you can get hold of this Gary check it out on 4k. It's one of the best I've seen and it elevates the movie. I will definitely check it out Keith, If you say its the best looking this year then I know its going to be brilliant. I watched episode 6 today Keith, I want to binge on the rest but the Mrs said one a day, it will last longer. You don't know how much debating we have done on this series. She is still convinced it's Henry and to be honest I can see why but I'm sticking with Cal. @@millerman9991
@singin8324 honestly Gary I wouldn't be able to leave it for one episode a day but I understand why your wife would want to. It makes sense it lasts a bit longer. Me and Ellen went through the exact same thing when we first watched it. I think I named nearly the entire cast and I still got it wrong. Stick with your gut and see what happens. It sounds like you're enjoying it which is fantastic

The "Contagion" steelbook has a nice effect & on first glance it did look dented 😆i thought you were going to do this video with covid mask 😝after watching the movie, people would be overly paranoid after a watching a movie like this.
The movie "Outbreak" has a similar way of thought after watching, thanks for sharing Keith.
Yeah like I said in the video Carlos I was very concerned when I first seen the Steelbook. It's actually a pretty cool effect. The movie itself is unbelievable. It is frightening how accurate it actually is especially when you stack it up against covid. I honestly can't recommend it enough. @@millerman9991 Cheers Keith will do 👍 Yea COVID was a really frightening time and looking back now also a surreal time, no traffic about, everywhere quiet too. I was in work throughout COVID and a floor space that normally had about 150 people working there had only 8 or 9 daily, very surreal.
There was a time during it when myself and Ellen drove up to Northern Ireland even though we weren't meant to. We were so bored and we couldn't believe what we were seeing. It looked like something from a zombie movie the entire part of Northern Ireland that we went to was completely dead. Not a single person around not a single car on the road. Never seen anything like it and I don't think I'll ever see it again. Well I hope I don't

Do not get me wrong the Blu-ray looks fantastic but wow when you stack it up against this 4K it is staggering the difference. Definitely worth upgrading
@@millerman9991 I watched the German Oscar candidate Anatomy of a Fall the other day. What a disappointment! Starts off with annoying music and has an annoying kid throughout. No hard feelings about Sandra Hüller, but I have never heard about her before and I know almost every German actress. 😮 The plot is boring, no red line. I was really upset that I actually sat down wasting my time with that incoherent movie. Canceled my pre order on Amazon right after. Fingers crossed, that not a single Oscar will go to Germany for that crap. The last Oscar worthy movie my country released was The Lives of Others (2006) winning the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
@MadonnaRockedGermany I honestly never heard of the movie but it's a shame to hear that it is as bad as it sounds. I'm going to check out the trailer for it now and see what it's all about. But going by what you're saying I think I might have to stay away from it

@@millerman9991 I think the reason I didn't bother with it is I thought it was yet another god awful zombie film, don't know why, but there it is. I hate zombie films with a passion. Thanks to your video I now know different and will get the standard slip cover version soon.
