Got to disagree. I'm enjoying these covers of old time music. The audience appears to be having fun, and George appears to be having fun, and I do believe that's the point of live performances.
You don't make any point that's noteworthy. You fail to move me or change my mind. I really like this version of the song. I wasn't much of a CC fan back in the day. I never bought a single product from them. I became a fan of BG's a couple of years ago after I heard some of his solo work. Calling my personal taste garbage is rude and tacky.
@MsSmartiepants2 I been to numerous concerts in my life. I have the mental and emotional capacity to understand the point of live shows as I see it. I don't appreciate your attempts to correct my point of view. I stand by my original statement. And I do like George's version of this cover. Yes, I'm also a big fan of George's own songs, especially his work after leaving Culture Club. But, I don't mind hearing him do something else. There are plenty of videos posted of him singing those songs.
@jasminefur No, the point of live performances is to show your unique talent. I don't mind George doing some covers, but I prefer his own music. And this particular song really does nothing for me. It's been done so many times by other artists. George's version is too karoeke.
@jasminefur It's garbage. You're just saying that because it's George. George's best work and most original work was with Culture Club. All of his solo hits are covers. He can't cut it without Jon, Mikey and Roy so he has to rely on covers by more talented artists. if he wants to do a cover, at least be original, don't do something that 's been covered a million times by tons of other artists.
love George O Dowd.. GOD
thanx for sharing this...

@bjarneboy My battery died (used too much of it on Alphaville), I only have a short clip of Shadow Boxing that I didn't think was worth putting up.
