They're a surprisingly good car to drive. Quick off the lights and the e-pedal makes crawling traffic effortless. Nissan UK are doing some amazing deals on used versions. Go grab a bargain.
It's the best ev by far. For those of us who remember Ford Sierra's it is a bread and butter ev. But it has an excellent fit and finish and has a capacious boot. It has all the tech you need and the N Connecta is my one which I love. Given the average car journey is well under 100 miles the 40 kwh is fine as it will give ytou 130 miles in winter and 150 plus in summer. Charging is easy and some places even still do free charging in 2023. It's a cracking family size car. 10 out of 10 from me.
I think we must have been seperated at birth. I found your videos originally when I had my BMW E61 (identical colour to yours too) and as I did a lot of work on mine myself, I enjoyed some of the content you put out but I must admit (ashamedly) that I didn't subscribe. Recently been looking around at used Nissan Leafs and cannot believe what incredible value they appear to be.. so I do a search for a buyers guide... and here you are again! It's most unnerving :) Anyway - thanks for the great video. Really useful information.
Between N-connecta and Acenta there are over ten major differences. N-connecta has heatpump, all LED-light, parking radars and some interior and experior differences. Totally worth of 2000 euroes. N-connecta and Tekna has SHARK ANTENNA AS BMW!!! Also, think about charging your car every night at 2 - 4 kilophats, its enough to keep your garage warm!
Don't expect doing mainly freeway/highway roads with LEAF as the range will drop slightly (its more a city/country car) and it's even worst during winter (realistic range is half during winter on freeway/highway) because of the lack of thermal management system (no cooling nor heating system for the high voltage battery). If half of it's range is still plenty for your daily driving like me, it's a very reliable car with decent cargo space for a family with very low maintenance ! I still love it 6 years later !
I drive a 2019 Nissan Leaf Plus (with the bigger 62 kWh battery pack) and it works great for our road trips as well as city driving. Our road trips are about 300-450 km a day at most, so we usually stop to quick charge once or twice.
What about the loss of range in the extreme climates of the SouthWest, like Las Vegas, Phoenix, Palm Springs, from May until September ? is the range limitation you think as severe as the range restriction durin gthe winter months from November until February on the East Coast and MidWest with driving temps below 15 degrees ?
First thing to know if your considering one of these is that you must accept you are an incredibly boring individual. Honestly, I’d rather cycle, utterly boring, characterless car.

The crowd say N Connecta!
Audio cuts out around 3:40
Thanks for letting me know
Is the connected services free? Or do you need a pay to use it, like VW does.
Helpful video thanks
Higher speed charging only available on e+. Led headlights aren't on the poverty spec model either.
It’s a far cry from the days of the M5 😎
Helpful video. Any idea how long the charging cables are that come with this car?

All of that is irrelevant in a climate like the UK. It doesn't need the cooling system.

GREAT NISSAN.
im looking forward to the electrical 5 series
How does it drive? I've heard the ride is a bit crashy due to the battery weight.
It’s a soft suspension setup so not crashy but there is some body roll on cornering
Have you traded your 5 series in for this car then
No, it was a press loan from Nissan
2-4p per KWH cheap rate? 😂😂😂😂

Haha, I just got one and traded in a Toyota Yaris, so I would say it’s about on par with that :p I still have a 99 silverado for hauling stuff though.
I imagine it's got more going on than a caterham, might even beat it off the line :)
