I hope that Estee will not start to play to much with the original prices and formulas of The Ordinary because if it happens smart people will just boycott it. And you know, the majority of the consumers of The Ordinary are smart.

The problem is that companies like The Ordinary get bought by larger companies and they immediately jack up prices. Paula’s Choice was once remarkably affordable-high quality products great for sensitive and oily skin-priced to compete with drugstore prices. Following a buy out, prices increased in some cases by 100%.
Companies don’t seem to understand that these products are popular BECAUSE they are affordable. They cater to a clientele who can’t/won’t blow $$$ on skin care products.

Big cosmetic companies are interesting in buying out such original honest product companies to keep the prices high of their high priced product ranges that are many times inefficient and in no way justifying price-effect ratio in an industry that preys on women’s insecurities! Basically getting control of the ‘narrative of cosmetic truths’ and control your competitor or learn about their developments at early stages.

For the past few months I've been obsessed about learning about skincare and which ingredients worked for which skin type and it really helped my skin. But there's one thing I can't figure out yet, hope someone can help. My skin is acne prone but not oily, it is at most combination and im not even really sure of that, most of the time it feels pretty dry but I know thats in fact DEHYDRATION, I would love to try the niacin amide but since its more for oily skin im concerned about it drying my skin.
I also have an almost 100% The Ordinary skincare routine. I start with micellar water by garnier to take off my makeup then I use a gel cleanser thats water based by Uriage (a French pharmacy brand), then I do a spritz of rose water before using TO hyaluronic 2% + B5, then I follow with a mix of moisturizer that has hyaluronic acid in it mixed with TO Vitamin C suspension 23% + HA spheres to avoid the tingling and I finish off by using a few drops of the 100% Plant derived Squalane or the Cold pressed rose Hip Seed Oil from time to time. Sometimes ill use The Body Shop drops of light peeling instead of the vitamin C. I can see that it helps my acne scars but I know it could be better. Can someone help ??

I was so waiting for this!!! I went to 5 different drugstores today in search for the niacinamide /Zn serum, but they were all out of stock. Gonna grab one online, I heard it makes wonders with combination, acne prone skin. Also, I'm really enjoying your skincare videos, Cassandra, you're so creative! 😊

You are so awesome Cass!! Niacinamide (can never spell this correctly) is love! I gotta try those 2 other products! Right now my faves are the Niacinamide, The Vitaminc C suspension, The Plant Derived Squalene!!! Reallt helped so much with my skin's texture and blemishes

I have a mild form of adult acne. I have used The Ordinary products for about 5 mounth and i am not really happy with a result. I stil get iflamations, breakouts e.t.c. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but my acne is not gone. If it doesn't help with a light form of acne, i dont think it will work for someone with a serious problems.. But for the price it worth a try i guess. I have used Niacinamide, Mandelic acid, Salicilic acid and 30% AHA+2% BHA peeling.

I used Ordinary Niacinamide when I had pimples all over my face and now I don't have any pimples or scars on my face and it looks clear. But am wondering whether is it good to continue the same product when I don't have any problem in my face. Also am used to this product and really don't want to change to any other product. Could you please suggest whether is it good to continue Niacinamide or should I change my product.

Shahana Santhakumar niacinamide, i believe, is also a prevention type of serum. it will help keep pores tight, oil under control, and acne at bay before it even thinks about popping up! i was wondering this too since i’m trying to order some stuff right now and it got rid of all of my acne, but after looking it up i’m gonna order more to keep everything going well!

The ordinary does NOT sell on Amazon. They are not the official products, and most likely counterfeits from china. DECIM only sells from their website and on Sephora. Do not ever buy from Amazon with no official seller, or information from the brand that they sell on Amazon.

I would add one more product to this list. Granactive retinoid 5% in squalane has made major difference in my skin texture. I have comedogenic acne, and alot of hair follicles. It also shrinks pores a little bit. But squalane is also great because since retinoid is an acid, squalane protects and soothes your skin barrier right at the same time. I also use rose seed hip oil and I do have zinc and niacinamide. The last one only works nicely at night, I wouldnt recommend using it on the daytime, it makes your skin sticky and shiny. Works nice as spot treatmenet. But so far aloe vera extract together with retinoid made difference for me! I also try to find the buffet, but not all h&m stores have it, I hear wonders it will make it to my skin rutine when I find it !

Thank you for bringing me awareness to this brand. I've never heard of it before. I have since watched several youtube videos of him talking about his products and checked them out on Sephora. I plan on ordering their moisturizer and serum once my current one runs out. It seemed like the founder's vision for his company swayed more in favour of the customer instead of large profits. Not surprised if this caused much push back and problems from his much larger competitors. He definitely was a breath of fresh air for consumers of beauty and skincare. RIP.

I loveeee the oridnary's niaciminide + zinc for my acne/oily&sensitive skin plus hyperpigmintation..it helped a LOT during my consistent breakouts and it slowly fades just 1 day of using it..so hype about it that I order another one this week..also love the Hyalauronic acid for hydration...will do an update for granactive retinoid next month after i'll have my chemical sunscreen. I find out that nothing beats out exercise, sleep, water and good diet for a healthy skin.
i invest more on skincare rather on makeup. I love watching your videosss

The area I suffer most from breakouts is my chin, since using this product for a little over a month I've noticed a huge improvement, not breaking out on the chin as much and its really faded dark marks left by previous spots. The issue I've got now is that I seem to have broke out on the side of my forehead which I've never suffered with before
