- Welcome back, everybody!
Hope you all are doing fantastic and having a great weekend so far. Firstly, this episode was a nightmare to shoot and edit. It was set back after set back... The first time I visited this location it was full of families and kids playing and running around so, filming wasn't an option. I figured "hey ill just come back tomorrow" which I did, then it rained...a lot! haha! Then, on the third trip, I lost all my go pro footage from the day. How could it get any worse... On top of the crazy week, setbacks, and work I just couldn't complete this video. I also shot this entire video on a new camera set up and brand new drone so I kind of felt as if I was breaking it all in and getting used to all this new equipment. NOW onto editing... So as I said I first lost all my GoPro footage which was about 25min worth of vlogging, BTS taking photos, the hike, etc. I was like ok that sucks but it is what it is. Then, I kept running into an issue exporting all the new drone footage. This drone I upgraded to "Mavic Air 2s" shoots in H265 and I shot it all in 4k 60p "Sorry for those who have no idea about cameras this may not make much sense" Basically premiere pro just wouldn't export the footage, so I had to downgrade the quality to H264 which resulted in a slight loss in quality but finally got it to work! SOOO as you can see, it was a bit of a mission. But never the less, I pushed on and didn't give up on the edit even though I almost did 100x. I am happy with the end product, I always critique my work and I know I can always deliver better but sometimes you need to play the cards you are dealt. @@gabriellecuthbert6371 I wouldn't be surprised. So many swimming spots and hidden little tracks. Deffs easy to lose your way if you went deep and off track.
