The C-Quence harness is now available for pre-order. You can see where to buy this harness and see the older Arc'teryx harness models that are on sale on our blog: blog.weighmyrack.com/newest-arcteryx-rock-climbing-harness/ (buying options are at the bottom of the page).
I bought it by $230 last week . It was cheaper than now. Now I know I buy at an unreasonable price.
I love mine!
Price is 🤬?
Looks like an good harness but I'm really not seeing any true development with in the last 7 years from arc'teryx's harnesses, compare it to something like bd, wild country or edelrid who have played with many different harness construction techniques (with varying success) while sure I get if it isn't broke don't try and fix it but as a company that was founded on innovating harnesses tech this is pretty disappointing.
That price is steep!
This harness is made in Canada, which is one of the reasons for a higher price compared to the competition. Interestingly, this harness is actually cheaper/on par to Arc'teryx's previous harnesses! The last Arc'teryx harness range was priced $145-159. -AD
Does it have ice clipper slots? Are the leg loops removable?
Yes, it does have ice clipper slots (4 total, 2 on each side - you can see photos on this blog post: blog.weighmyrack.com/newest-arcteryx-rock-climbing-harness/). The leg loops are not literally removable. Were you asking if they are removable as in a drop seat (so you can take a poo)? If so, then yes, there is a clip on the back that lowers both leg loops. Or if you were referring to removable leg loops, like in many ski mountaineering harnesses where they can come completely apart, then no, these leg loops are fixed in size (there is some stretch).

WeighMyRack actually i was asking if they’re removable from the belay loop. Thanks for the excellent reporting!
@@xchinvanderlinden Ah! Not a common question we get! The reason they're not removable is because the stretchy belay keeper is permanently sewn on / not adjustable. -AD
Arc'teryx has a program that makes gear for law enforcement and armed forces called LEAF. They make a harness called the "E-220 rigger's harness" that consists of separate leg loops and a swami belt that can be stowed or worn. The two are rigged together with a carabiner to create the harness. This type of harness is for emergency rigging and is not suitable for climbing. Is this what you were thinking of? I have never heard of a climbing harness with removable leg loops...
@@kirkanderson6640 Very cool, I forgot about the LEAF stuff.
There are some big wall harnesses out there with a light buckle behind the tie in point on the leg loops so they can be removed from the belay loop for more comfortable sleeping in just the swami.
The gear loops on the left side of the harness are on backwards!!!! How could they not realise this when it’s in his hands!!! 🤦♂️ The harness on the wall behind him has the gear loops the right way. This is so bad!

The leg loops on this harness are absurdly oversized. Very disappointed with my purchase of this harness
while you are improving on the harness think you can improve on the colors
Stop with the non adjustable leg loops...
Grow normal legs...
IKR? It’s a climbing AAANNND an alpine harness
@@Noekeeuh but what if you want to climb in the winter with thicker clothing? You probably don't even climb anyways tho
@@FPSChasee if i did not climb why would i watch this movie? I don't climb outside when it's winter 😉
Let's keep these discussions civil please. Thank you.

leg loop front like petzl sama, fifth gear loop like BD technician. what a shame copy cat.
You could probably say this same type of comment for most harnesses out there. Same thing for D-shaped carabiners and tube-style belay devices. There are a lot of semi-similar options and each company is doing their own take. For folks that don't want the semi-bulky Sama/Technician padding, this harness would be a better bet. Or if you wanted ice clipper slots the Sama is out but C-Quence is in. The Arc'teryx fit is different, the way they mold their gear loops is less common, they're the ones who popularized this type of wide waist-belt and split webbing...
Personally I think it's wonderful to have so many different (albeit somewhat similar) options. It allows you to really customize what you'd like in your own harness.
