    Back in the day, I only started using PPT because my word decided to blur my images. I wish it would have started from day 1...PPT is so much easier and takes about half the time to finish something than in Word... and if you learn how to use the master slide, it is even less time. The same type of resource took me about 10 days to finish in Word, and now if I'm really focused, I can finish in less than a day in PPT.

      It is so angry and in so many of us to just do things in word. I blame it on growing up pretty much only using word in school. We only really use PowerPoint‘s for presentation so I had no idea that you could use it for things that you print out like worksheets. But yes it makes the biggest difference and it if everyone could do that from the beginning it would help them so much

    Just found you Becca. I was an ESL teacher in Vietnam for nearly 4 years. Before that, I was doing graphic design full time. I'm considering to combine my skills and experiences and make worksheets for TPT. What kinds of packets or worksheets you see are more successful? I'm thinking to do a "how to survive teaching" poster as my freebie lol. List off things for teachers to remember with some illustrations.

    My cover thumbnail is one of my weak areas! I can make pretty products, but I've really struggled to find a layout for my thumbnails that I've liked. I had a few people give me thoughts and they all said they are hard to read on their phones, so I may buck down, buy a few templates online, and redo all of mine over winter break. Luckily I still have under 20 products so it shouldn't be too bad of an undertaking!

    • @BeccaDavis
      @BeccaDavis  2 года назад

      That shouldn't be too hard! The main thing is to make the font LARGE and the images LARGE

    hello! I have seen many of your videos and I would like some advice please. What do you think about opening a tpt store in Spanish for subjects from third grade? Will there be enough public to make a profitable store? thanks for reading me.

    • @BeccaDavis
      @BeccaDavis  Год назад

      I would assume that there would be a market but I don’t know for sure. My suggestion would be to talk to people either in person or online and find out if there would be interest. Or just start making some things and see if they sell.

    I need to know more about why we should not use word. So, what if I just make it a PDF is that going to be fine? That was my plan for one of this resource I’m creating. Thank you Becca.

    • @BeccaDavis

      Word is annoying for YOU. It has nothing to do with the format or buyers. The thing about Word is that it's difficult to format your page and put things where you want. On Powerpoint you have more control.

    Just came across your videos as I'm looking to start a TPT. I have many products that I've created using images from Google (all are animated images found from Google) - do you know how I can find out if those images are okay for me to use (for copyright purposes)? Thanks!

    • @BeccaDavis
      @BeccaDavis  Год назад

      Hi! Unfortunately most of them will not be OK to use. You need to look for images that have some sort of terms of use with them. A terms of used tells you whether or not it’s okay to use your photos and how you can use them. You can go to the websites where you found them and then check from there. But you’ll find it for the most part you’re going to need to replace most of them

    Hello! One question I have is: can I make guided notes/worksheets that go along with (science) videos from RUclips and other websites online? Or would I need to get specific permission from the owner of those videos?

    • @joepiekl
      @joepiekl Год назад

      Not a lawyer, but I think it depends. I think it's fine as long as you're not copying anything from the video, either in terms of the images or the script.
      The bigger issue might be that you have no control over that video. So someone might buy your product, love it, and then find that a couple of years later when they go to use it again, it doesn't work. Or someone buys it from overseas, only to find that the video doesn't appear on RUclips in their country. Or a video that works fine on your laptop is hidden by the extra sensitive content restrictions of people's school computers (or even just by restricted mode on RUclips). That last one has definitely happened to me, where a website with something as innocuous as a grammar explanation has been blocked.

    Hi, there! I have a question. Is that ok if I make worksheets using Creative Common License clipart images from Google and upload them for sale or do I have to use only images from TPT? Thanks for your video.

    • @BeccaDavis
      @BeccaDavis  2 года назад

      It's going to depend on the product, but when I do, I upload videos and not mp3 files. I had a hard time with school systems not allowing teachers to use the files because they still belonged to my account even though the sharing settings were on.
