Thank you for all your videos! I just opened my tpt store because of you and made over $900 my second month.
In your second month?! That's amazing!
@@BeccaDavis Yes! I was shocked as well. I started in September and made under $200. I watched lots of you tube videos including yours and October was an amazing month for me. Thank you so much!
Wow any tips? Im literally getting 8 downloads on free products lol
@@sparkleb2899 Hi! Some of the things I am doing currently: I take real pictures of my product and use Canva to edit and add text for the cover photo. People like to see the actual product. I also give a thorough preview so they know exactly what they are getting. I would rather they not buy then buy and be unsatisfied. I also include a video of myself making or using the product and edit using InShot. I am pinning on Pinterest once a day but aiming for more. If you hover your mouse over the “search” on TPT you will see the top 5 searches and make products for those themes. Once you are ready to list, do a “title” search and see if it will get you on the first 2 or 3 pages. I use to think that I needed higher price tag to make money but March has been my best month and I made the bulk of my earnings from a $3 product. Good Luck!
Wow congrats!
You are definitely speaking to me! Thanks for timely information.
Glad it was helpful!
I have been listening to several of your videos. My store has existed for a couple of years, but not much traction. I am determined to change that this year!
You can do it!
This is awesome thank you! Really helpful and encouraging. I have a few awesome resources that have had ‘crickets’ - need to believe in them again 👍🏻😊
That is the WORST. But-- It's not forever! If you implement some of these things, you can really turn it around.
We love all your tips and I appreciate all that you do. Merci!
De rien! Thanks for watching!
Soooo useful tips Becca! Thank you for sharing 🤩😘
You are so welcome!
Well done, Becca. Bravo!
Thank you! It’s a lot but it’s worth it!
Great tips, thanks a bunch!
Thank you for the video, your presentation is very pleasant to watch and tips were very helpful!
You're very welcome!
Extremely useful information. Thank you.
Thank you for the simple tip on the square cover. When I learned how to make covers they were rectangular and took forever to make- they’re not my best sellers and it will be a project updating all my products! My best sellers are 1 worksheet cheaply priced with no cover 🤣🤣🤣 crazy 😜
Interesting! The square covers make a difference-- try them out!
@@BeccaDavis I started going through my products and making all the square covers. Batching the task made it much more fun and rewarding so thank you for the idea! I like the process better now with Canva. I was over doing it with making the cover within the product PDF and trying to make a square cover separately with the right dimensions in the same program-- using the Instagram template is much more in my comfort zone and doesn’t hurt my brain trying to remember how to make it. I also like using Canva on the computer; I had only used my phone before. I’m enjoying how my shop is shaping up after beginning to tackle the cover update project. It definitely gives me a feeling of momentum and empowerment to create products again.
So many great tips here - thanks so much!
You are a welcome!
Super informative video. Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Very helpful!
I love how much God uses his people to help one another!!
Off topic - but your hair looks so cute in this video!
Well I appreciate that! Thank you1
I'm following all your advice, I've had 7 free downloads but no sales. I'm telling myself it's because it's a topic teachers usually cover at the start of the year 😆
How many products do you have up? No one has visited my page :(
@@ANDREWGEN_ At the time I made the comment, probably about 7-10. I had my first sale on about day 10 of having my store open, in early April. In April I had 12 sales and in May, 14 (there's still the rest of today!). I'm up to 14 products--a few of them are bundles.
How are you doing now? What is your niche?
@@TracyKMainwaring Excellent! I simply needed to exercise some patience. I am in the digital art niche, I sell clipart, coloring pages, and fun visually engaging worksheets for a range of subjects. I finally got my first sale and then a stream of them after that. I'm excited for back-to-school season :)
I also do custom requests so if you want me to make anything for you just lmk!!
@ANDREWGEN_ I actually am considering hiring an artist to create some portraits for Black History Month. I do digital art too, but I'm more of a tutorial follower than an artist! LOL. Would you be interested in something like that?
@@TracyKMainwaring No task is too tall for the Andrewgen, your grace.
How do you take a pic of the iPad and get the right lighting? With no reflection or shadow on the ipad? I gave up, any tips would be great🙏🏻 😊
Hey! Can you link the phone holder tripod that you use? I bought one and hate it. It is hard to adjust and yours looks much nicer. You said you would link it but I don't see it.
I wish I had 10 purchased items to look through. I am not even at that level yet :(
You give so much great, free lessons. Question: Who do you use for the adorable frames?
I think I answered this in the FB group, but here the free ones I use in printables: www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/FREE-PAGE-BORDERS-2735922?st=c002495c629652684412f7916b585b20 annnd then I like these for digital especially: www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Ashley-Hughes-Design
thanks
You’re welcome!
Super helpful tips here! Thank you. I've just started on TPT. For some reason, all of my thumbnails look blurry. I've used Canva and PowerPoint, but it's the same result. ughhh! Any suggestions?
TPT blurs them a bit to protect against copyright. You can try jpeg v. png. The other thing you can do is make the file bigger. So if your slide size is 8x8, try making it 16x16.
@@BeccaDavis Thanks for your response. You rock!
Did you find a solution? I know it's been recommended to use the Instagram template in Canva, which is about 1024x1024px, so I went with 2000x2000px. I use png files. It's still blurry so I wondered if it was a TPT issue
Do u have a video on how to create mailing list without having a blog or website? I don't know how to do it?
I do! ruclips.net/p/PLasif86yNT5rpIAVlqr6fBq-9-mBOg5EQ
@@BeccaDavis thanks a lot. Your videos are so helpful and motivating.
Teachers are getting savvy...they can remove the "preview" text with Adobe Acrobat or exporting to Word. So you need to flatten the doc first...then save as PDF. Or export as JPEG....then convert to PDF. I don't recommend adding the whole product doc as a preview...
i have uploaded my 10th product. still no sales T__T i needed this video! -theviralteacher
Thanks Becca. I think I must change my thumbnails
It makes a huge difference!
do you have to be a teacher to sell items on TPT
I'm not a teacher! I still have a TpT store. I just enjoy creating products!
You don’t, but it helps because you’ll know what teachers need. If you’re not a teacher, I would make friends with some teachers to bounce ideas off of!
