That is the very first background dog sneeze I have ever heard on a RUclips video and I seriously hope it won't be my last. 😄Thank you so much Becca for the entertainment and all the fantastic tips. You are wonderful!!!
Hi Becca, I have a blog but it is not exclusively for my TPT store. My long term plan is to have a blog and Facebook page just for TPT But for now my focus is to make some useful products for my store.
Hey Becca! I always love your videos! I'm on your mailing list and got the info you sent equipment for getting started with a RUclips channel. I didn't see anything on lapel mics. Do you use one? Is there anything you recommend? Thanks so much! Jay
When I first started teaching, I started a blog. It was very juvenile because I was basically just a kid. lol I abandoned it though because suddenly I realized being a teacher took up a LOT of my time. lol However, I am more in a groove now, and I started making stuff on TPT, but right now it is a lot of random stuff. I have thought about blogging in order to promote, but how do you even get people to read/see/discover your blog? That seems like an entire new thing to promote on top of the TPT store. Do you have any tips on this? How do you go about getting your blog/RUclips/Instagram out there to people?
Hi Jennifer! I love that you’re thinking about you again. The number one thing is making sure that your blog posts are search friendly so that people can find them on Google. Then I always try to post them on to Pinterest. If you already have the graphics made for your blogs this is not difficult or time-consuming at all. In addition I always send my blog post to my email list and I always mention it to my Instagram over a few different days. Not everyone gets on Instagram at the same time so find it helpful to remind them a couple of times about it
Hi Becca! Your videos are super helpful :) Do you have any tips for the new pixel integration? I have it connected but I have no idea what all that data means and what I can do with it. I'm super overwhelmed with figuring this all out myself! HELP!
Hi! The pixel is only for Facebook ads. So if you are doing Facebook ads, it is helpful. I don't do Facebook ads, so I don't need it for any reason. If you are going to do Facebook ads, then definitely do your research so you don't waste your money!
Thanks for all the great info, Becca! I've been following your RUclips challenge for a while now and I always enjoying hearing your insights on long form content and marketing. I started a teacher blog back in November but only really went "live" this week with my own .com address and hosting provider. Will you be sharing details on how to go about writing a great blog post that promotes or up-sells your TPT resources? I'd be very interested in learning more tips & tricks! Take care, Stephanie hopesmartstudios.com
Hi! Ive never found a definitive answer either way, but here is the question to ask yourself: Will this help people buy products? If yes, then you are fine.
Thanks. Started You Tube last month. Going to start blog in April. We are just starting to see vaccine roll outs here. Do you think the States will be all back in school in the fall. Just curious, how much digital products do we need.? Happy 😃
My district JUST started a hybrid situation, but they. are planning to have everyone in school 5 days a week in the fall. I think most schools are like ok, it's been a whole school year, so we're just going to go back to normal-ish. There's no magical number, but there will be a video about digital v. paper this month
Hey Becca! Super exciting news to share I'm upgrading to the premium seller account after 1 year on TpT! I know, should have done it earlier. I did have a question, do you recommend buying a MacBook? Because I don't want to spend money on something I don't need but I do feel like a MacBook would help my business. I do have a computer obviously but it's like really old. I have never used a Mac so I just wanted to ask if you as a Mac user would recommend it! Thanks
Congrats on the upgrade! It's your business so you can do whatever you'd like. I love my Mac and will repurchase when I need to replace this one. I use a PC at school and don't like it as much. But. It is super expensive, so if you aren't in love with it, I would just get a PC.
You keep talking about “Long Form Content” but don’t give examples. Please give us examples because not everyone knows what the heck you are saying by that term “Long Form “Content “
So true! I started my RUclips channel some months ago and recently started making products on TPT. Thanks for the tips on how to merge the two!
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome!! As always 😊

Hahaha my dogs are the sneeziest so if you watch mine you’ll get used to it!
Definitely agree that a marketing strategy is ALWAYS necessary! Great points here. :)
Yes! There are so many people wondering why they aren't making money, but they aren't marketing at all.
Your videos are so helpful! Thank you!
Glad you like them! Thank you for watching!
Thankyou Becca for all these insights

Hello! Thanks for sharing these tips!!! Have you thought of creating your own store?
Yes I have, but I have about 400 products, so it would be a lot of work.

Hi Becca, thank you for your video. Are we allowed to add a youtube link in the TPT product description?

What platform do you blog on

Long form content = blog posts, youtube videos, or podcasts
