I got a free one-on-one PT session with Craig when I signed up at Absolute MMA in early 2016. He was a brown belt and taught me a couple of basic mount escapes. Really nice guy!
Fixed the audio for you - ruclips.net/video/TO5uXzz8cL4/видео.html Thanks for this interview Jordan. I edit videos for a living - something I learned: If your audio levels are ever this unbalanced and it was recorded onto one track, apply an audio compressor with these settings and it'll level things out: Ratio 4:1 attack: 0ms release 65ms Threshold (this is key) : reduce the gain until it's 6db - 8db reduction from the lower mic. This will balance the volume quickly without you having to spend a few hours manually doing it.
Thanks for doing this. Too many BJJ podcasts lately are dropping the ball on the audio to the point I just have to skip them. Good audio is imperative for a podcast with people talking.
Thank you very much first time finding your channel I am now a subscriber and because Craig Jones is there I had to listen in Craig Jones is one of the if not the best personalities in the Jiu-Jitsu community as well as down to earth and humble person so much appreciated and much respect from the Monterey California area 🌊🤝🏻
Great interview thank you. It was hard to follow along due to the large difference in volume between you and Craig. This can be fixed by using an audio equalizing program.
Very, VERY good interview. Really insightful. Crap audio editing. But if you don't mind pressing + and - on the volume all the time, it's great content.
Talk about weight cutting led me to remember how when I was eating full keto diet (no ketone supplements, basic cheap stuff), I felt quite good overall, but my heart rate would go up faster and higher if compared to a diet with carbs. Anyone thriving with Keto and combat sports?
Man I wonder how this convo would’ve gone if they had recorded after Craig heard Danaher go into the split on Lex’s podcast. He seemed like he wanted to but pulled back. After his comments on Reddit tho I think we’ll hear his side soon
I know Craig says the dds breakup doesnt involve him as much as some of the other guys. But according to Danaher on Lex he insinuated that Craig bought the gym that John had his eyes on leaving new wave homeless. Probably why John didnt talk to him much and probably had his sharpest knife collection in his fanny pack
@@margaretpritchet you miss my point entirely. And what you say is according to Danaher. He also said in that interview that he got along with B Team like a house on fire at ADCC while Craig says Danaher hardly said two words to him. This point being there is conflicting stories.
How would this work with wrestling? Yes we have multiple day weigh-ins but we do it every week (ex. Dual Tuesday then Two Day Tournament Friday and Saturday). Would the BJJ Performance help? And how would we be able to get our caloric needs but still make weight ever week? I believe I have a good grasp but I also believe it could be easier then I tend to make it.
To move up weight classes. But also in general, BJJ athletes aren’t eating enough. The sport burns a lot of calories. If you don’t replenish those calories and operate in a caloric deficit over time, you will not recover well, your body will break down, and you will become prone to injury
The nutrition part is what I see the most. It's amazing how most of society has no idea what macros are and how to adjust them for their body type and/or goals. The chicken and rice diet is the fastest way to fall off of your diet and live in misery!
granted I'm just a few minutes in so far but with TWO mics, I would hope I could hear Craig's a bit more lol. Gonna watch regardless, but whomever is in charge of audio gotta make sure the guest's levels are good even before the host's. Not trying to be a d!ck, ijs.
To clarify the host input level is way over Craig's, I'm not sure which software you use to process your audio but initial channel adjustments and then a final channel volume rider wold work a treat!, Happy to do it for yo for free for such an awesome channel!
I love how they were saying "where are guys gonna access this nutrition info? They dont have access to that. They cant go to Uni for 4 years." Like, bro, you plan on posting this video to the internet right? Well theres a good place to start lmao
Hahaha!! That was me!! I was driving past taking my son to his bjj class and couldn't believe my eyes! I didn't disclose the location 📍
Lol that’s so fun
Too funny
Send location

That’s so fucking creepy.

Just automate the track volume.
Thanks. I just wish the initial video was mixed correctly.
Legend thx
Brilliant, thanks for doing this.
This is one of the best interviews I've seen a grappler give. Craig is the man!
Probably 2nd best
Craig reps BJJ so well. Big respect.
This is the second best interview with the second best bjj guy out there!
Always great to listen to Craig. Mad positive vibes from this dude.
Man Craig is super likeable. I like his approach way better than MMA guys forcing shit talk or trying to hard to fit a character
Only for Craig would I sit through this audio difference lmao.
Please add timestamps on the video also, helps a lot.
same lol. I also skipped but saw the timestamps and ended up powering through most of it.
Craig is the best silver medalist ever 👍don’t give up bro next one ☝🏼 will be GOLD🙌🏻💯
His team is called B-team for a reason 😅
Wait who beat him? Craig is literally the best
@@davidwatts8281 don’t forget he moved up weight classes
no it wont. He's destined for silver forever
@@margaretpritchet Silver....I would die for that.
Damn this is why you should wear headphones when doing podcasts
Always love when the host asks the exact questions I’d ask the guest myself. Very fun video!
Craig Jones is making silver medals now my favorite medals!! 🔥🔥🥈🥈
Such a good interview. Craigs a natural in front of the lens

At what time does he discuss the DDS split ?
Great interview thank you. It was hard to follow along due to the large difference in volume between you and Craig. This can be fixed by using an audio equalizing program.
You guys could’ve easily fixed the audio levels in post. Smh.
CRAIG, write the damn book. The dry quips guarantee a NYT bestseller. Adam Jones needs to write the foreward. Do it for the people.
Very, VERY good interview. Really insightful. Crap audio editing. But if you don't mind pressing + and - on the volume all the time, it's great content.
Glad I wasn't the only one

Epic interview fellas! Loved the chat on the relationship between recovery and injury! Big props to Craig on ADCC and love your work Sull

I would definitely have touched on the we stole your gym/we don’t like hard training stories

Craig is just a great human being. He isn’t full of himself.
I hope this gets re uploaded with a much better audio.. Could hardly hear Craig :/
This was such a good interview. Thank you for this! I love the range of questions
craig jones u inspired a generation of sleazy guard pullers we will remember u forever
I remember when I met Craig in Vegas. He looked sleep deprived and was a bit awkward. Youre the man though Craig!
Dude. Are you special? Why wouldnt he be awkward with some internet weirdo coming up to him and acting like he knows him?

Weird in American English we use the expression “piece of cake” when something is easy. Definitely switching to pie to sound more cultured ;-)
Great interview! Only criticism is we now need another one for Craig to outline his S&C’s 💪💪👊👊
Had to ride the volume button as Craigs mic was so quiet compared to the host… but an incredible conversation nonetheless!
The only reason I’m here is for DDS split and steroids
Can someone give me the basic day of full eating and what supplements are used?
Craig is legit hilarious
Genuinely a good dude. Always good vibes with him
BJJ Guys skip Cardio and that is one of their biggest mistakes. Specific workcapacity is usually great - general cardio is very often underdeveloped.

Man the audio is sooo back and forth on this.
Great interview. Nutrition is the key to performance.
Great interview. The audio level between you two is uneven. I recomend you compress the audio next time. Keep it up!
Great interview. New drinking game, every time Craig says obviously you drink. I have not made it past 5 mins.
Turn Craigs mic on or hire a sound guy
Craig is so humble he definitely smokes Ortega in a jiujitsu match
If only microphones were on the same level
This a great interview. The interviewer has a great chill vibe.
Craig is a real one
A rare Craig Jones Pod - was wicked!!
Can you hear can you hear the thunder? You better run you better run for cover! I love his leopard shorts and his z guard and heel hooks.

If you’re weighing in that often, don’t cut weight. It’s not worth it
Great interview, sort the sound differences please.
Good chat. I would love to hear more for Craig Jones. He is great for the growth of jujitsu
Awesome to see this interview
We might forget Craig Jones, but we will never forget jean-shorts !
Nice episode. Where the courses at ?
Great interview! Craig's audio track is a bit too low in comparison.
"...PROBABLY the biggest name in Australian Jiu Jitsu..." 🤣🤣🤣
What time stamp is the "steroids" bit?
Great interview! Check your mic levels though, can barely hear Craig :D
This was awesome! Thanks so much
Need to work on the sound. I have volume up full and can hear you but can barely hear Craig.
Awesome interview and Craig is one of the best blokes 👌🏼
Yes lol immunity is a systemic issue related to diet and overall health craig. Furthermore once you get staph it’s easier to get Again.
Maybe if you take antibiotics
Australian guys love to say “obviously”

Great interview
I’m an mma guy who got into jiu jitsu from mma.
Definitely never have the interviewers mic louder than the guest😂
Great interview!
What's an IV that they mention couple times?
Intravenous. After cutting weight by losing water, rehydration in the short term is hard to achieve without IV fluids.

Aesome interview.
Sound on Creg's mic is really low though.
Craig's mic wasn't turned on.
the audio of craig is hard to hear
Can someone breakdown the reason for the 5,000 calorie a day ? Was it to compete better or have more energy and train more?
His goal was to move from 88kg category up to under 99kg at ADCC

Also Craig Jones: "Is not up to me to discuss that since I wasn't directly involved" 😐

When you`re feeling good eating shitty food - it`s a big sign that you`re not nearly getting the calories you needed
Take a shot every time you hear the word "obviously."
the sound volume is off. the host voice is too loud and craig jones voice is too low
Craigs audio is too low
Get a proper mic set-up. Craig was barely audible for parts.
