Technically the GTR is in the same boat when it comes to expenses but it's unbeatable once built. The Corvette and the Mustang get there seat at the table because of their reputation, cheap builds and crazy high power gains, being able to keep up and beat these cars is incredible and is worthy of respect for both at such price ranges.

Yup. People should take hints when someone’s says my gtr makes 1xxx. That could be 1000 to 1900hp. My black edition gtr makes 2100hp on map 9 and I run it on the street here in Dallas. They are still underrated
I have to give props where it's due. The GTR is a great car, it's fast, iconic and still is one of the cars tk beat till this day. It's expensive, it takes a lot to get a lot, but once you have it, there is no other. The Mustang is also a dangerous opponent to come across, little cost comparably but just as much gain and sometimes could be more. It's one of the Kings of the street and is worthy of respect. Gotta say tho, GTR has a cheat sheet with AWD and that built auto trans. No wheel spin or slip unlike the Mustang in the first run. Awd has most of it's advantage in launching, but it still is an advantage in roll when you just go with no drama

7’s on a stock motor, 6’s on a stock cast block, 5’s with less than 6L of displacement, plenty of them stock motor/trans in the 8’s, 3’s 60-130, yea they’re slow.

Was just thinking the same thing. My 10R80 and Procharger shifts at 8000 rpm and doesn’t drop down much (stays in the power band every shift).
