Gilly's got another sub, doo-dah, doo-dah..........Gilly's got another sub, doo-dah, doo-dah dayyyyyyyyyyyyy! Thank you for your take - keep up the good work! 🍺
I've got the newer 22 plate euro 5 model and got 78mph out of mine, that was red lining it in each gear from 2nd to 6th. Sits nicely between 50 and 60 and if you keep it revving has a bit extra. Im very happy with it.
Most 125’s have a very similar top speed in the uk. The way I measure it. The poor ones can’t make 60mph, the good ones make 60mph and the great ones make 70mph but there’s not many of them out there.
Sat watching this regretting my 125cc bike choice decision 😢 for the max HP allowed on a 125 I'd have expected more , seemed to struggle to get to 60 once over 53 so would be surprised if anyone has gotten it to 70. I'm yet to be convinced about downsizing to a 125, I'd rather go for a RE HNTR 350, just for commuting purposes. Still, what would I know, I 'm still to get my licence 😅 MOD1 booked mid May 🤞🏻
Yeah it was weird. It was picking up speed really well until I change to top gear. Then it just creeped up slowly. I would bet it’s restricted somehow. I would also bet that someone on here has had over 70 out of one. But I often lose bets 😂. I would rather have a RE HNTR as well. I love those bikes.
I reckon a lot of riders tend to expect too much from 125 cc bikes . Some will do 70 or even show 80mph on the clock , in favourable conditions . But basically they are for cruising speeds of around 50 mph ,with the odd burst up to top end for the odd mile or two . I certainly wouldn’t rag one at top speed at high revs for long periods ,if I wanted a 125 to last . Also many clocks overestimate the actual speed , so I always knock at least 5 mph off the top speed shown on clock . Many decades ago I owned a Suzuki GP 100 U two stroke 98 cc to get to work . Suzuki claimed a top speed of 68 mph , when warmed up I managed to see 75 mph on clock on a few occasions down a slight gradient sitting bolt upright . I kept the bike bog factory standard & never rode it flat out ,for more than a couple of miles .
Found a great deal on one, starting my journey as a motorcyclist, carrying on a family tradition, wish me well
A great bike to start with. Ride safe 😎
Now that’s what I call a nice 125. Very sporty looking and decent performance as well. Another great review. Thank you
You’re very welcome. I really enjoyed having a play on this bike

I love it. A new sub with an added tune which is now stuck in my head 😂. Thank you 😂
@@GillyBikes You are most welcome!
One of my favourite 125’s ❤
That bike looks so nice. I want one ❤
I do too. Really nice bike
How times change,60mph was the magical number on our 50cc fizzies and the Suzuki AP50. (pre 80s)
I know. It’s sad how far backwards we have gone. 😭
👌🏽awesome video as always...
Thank you. Much appreciated 😁

That’s good to hear. I was really impressed with it. One of the best 125’s I’ve been on 👍
Mad I've only got 75mph out of it. 22 plate.I don't want to relive that moment faster😅
Seems no quicker than my grom which does 55 to 64 depending on weather conditions.😢

My 125 does 89mph
2stroke?
@@GillyBikes electric lol
That’s cheating 😂
@@GillyBikes nobody said i couldnt 🤷🏾♂️🤣
Get a Varedero 125...65mph to 70plus easily .. and not off a cliffe... 😅
I’ve heard good things about those. I’ve not had the pleasure of trying one. Hopefully one day 👍
Had one new nice bikes for the more lanky like me. Sixty 65 easy just over 70 eventually on the flat , which is impressive for the size of the thing.
