Lennon's voice is so awesome. He just had it
Yes, he sure did...rasp and all! They were all great..Will never be another musical phenomenon like them ever again!!!
Fantastic, isn't it?? I love them all, but John's lead vocals are my favorite vocals. Usually, the earlier the better.
John Lennon have an awsome vocie
@@bblaylk Yes, sure beats the original. Money and Twist And Shout originals are very good too,but again sure aren't The Beatles.

Beautiful harmony by Paul and George as well. These guys are just unbeatable
The bit at the start when they r clapping , and George is slightly dancing is soooo CUTE !!!!

When is George not doing something cute, though?
I think the un-cutest thing George ever did was when he went from composing to decomposing.

Absolutely love Johns voice, the power, the whine, the pain. Truly one in a million.
Great rocker voice

His voice is very similar to Justin Bieber not quite as beibers though.

John's voice is so unreal.....like from a different dimension or universe.....you can listen to a hundred great singers....none can match or excel the quality of tone....a real force of nature....
barkbarkbarkbarkable agreed 100%
barkbarkbarkbarkable John hated his voice so he always had it doubled tracked, giving it this echo powered thing.
barkbarkbarkbarkable John had a decent voice, and it fit his songs most of the time, but the best voice was Paul’s. Not to mention Paul had a very impressive range.
Alex Edits yes paul could really rock doing his Little Richard vocalising!

The joyfull energy and harmonies of the early Beatles is still unmatched.

Similar energy i can hear in early Oasis's or The Strokes songs, but Beatles were best of the best of course.

@@BigTex19 actually, if you want to talk harmonies, than Beach Boys were actually in my opinion a little better but when it comes to diverse music, they weren't close to the Beatles so the Beatles are clearly the winner overall.

Lennons vocal performance is outstanding
It's so great that, all these years after this performance and then his death, John's stunning voice still powers through the decades as majestically as ever.

Imagine a world without these guys. How on Earth would music sound without their tremendous, and seemingly countless contributions?
A contribution? This song is of the supremes and i prefer carpenters version
@@miguelatienza5344 I know this. How does that fact diminish my comment?
@@ARealPersonNotABot I didn't want to diminish your comment, it's only I always hate the beatles and just i like some songs and George Harrison. Maybe I have the problem, but I don't think the beatles have contributed so much as they say, that's all.
@@miguelatienza5344 It's ok to dislike their contribution to music, but to deny their contribution is a bit disingenuous I think. Do you have any idea how many musicians have credited the reason for picking up an instrument, or putting pen to paper directly to the Beatles. Many of the world's favorite bands only started because it's members were influenced in some way by the Beatles.
Nothing wrong with not liking their music, but I can't deny the impact they have had in pop culture, and American/British culture. But I want to address something you said about this song being a cover. It was absolutely a cover. Many artists in those days would cover other artists songs. It was standard practice back then.
@@ARealPersonNotABot You're right in everything you said, but I wasn't denying their influence, I was referring to the fact that the Beatles are really on a podium that has always seemed a bit exaggerated to me. All the artists have been influenced by the beatles, but also by other groups. The fact of counting every time an artist says they have been influenced by the beatles seems ridiculous to me, because no artist is influenced by a single group, and no artist is an exact copy of the other. Have they influenced others? Yes a lot. But like other groups. We all find influence in any music, whether famous or not.
I love how John always has the very stiff movements but then George is over there doing his little happy feet, and then Ringo back there with his little head bop, and Paul being incredibly charming towards the camera as usual. Their "dances" perfectly fit each of their personalities. It's just so...BEATLES. I love it so much.
Jessica Foster so true. I’ve always been a John girl, but George’s lil dances make me swoon.
Now, that is the commentary a true Beatles fan have to make. Because we love the Beatles, on yes we do. We see them complementing each other. We see the fab Four.
Johns cover choices were key
I love love love John’s voice in these old classics especially. It’s got this quality and tone that I just can’t put into words no matter how hard I try. My heart melts!!
I agree fully John easily had the best voice in the Beatles....But Paul suited the songs he sang as well...

I was born in the USSR, 50 years ago, behind the "Iron Curtain". My life has been shaped by the beautiful music of such great rock bands as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and many others. I am grateful to the "Western culture" for this, and am very glad that today's world has become much more humane thanks to this!
It seems like the 'curtain' came down right after the Billy Joel tour in Russia 1987.
I watched a historic documentary about the Cold War a few years ago. The English narrator (he actually had a Scottish accent) talked about the "denim laws" & other social discouragements of Western Culture that Eastern European nations imposed on their citizens. In other words he spoke of the threat that Blue Jeans & Rock & Roll music posed on the ruling order. What made me laugh though, he said, "unlike nuclear weapons, this weapon was actually used".

One of the few bands that could cover a song and make it better.
I'm not surprised, it's 2020, things are crap, so listening to the early Beatles 2nd album makes you forget for a couple of minutes with a great cover of "Please Mr. Postman". They made the Marvelettes soul sound into rock & roll, but then watch an early concert from Washington D.C., Beatles do an even better live version!
It's a great remake, but the Marvelettes original is as good as it gets. First Motown #1. The song is so good that the Carpenters did a fine version too, in 75.
I like all 3 versions.
Not "Baby, It's You."
The Shirelles' original version was too perfect.
@@johnschneller308 today’s music isn’t crap. With all things, societies forget the trash aspects of the past and glorify the great things. The 2010s will certainly be remembered for hip hops creative explosion. And with all musical revaluations there is bound to be some lame stuff. But just at underground artists such as MF DOOM (check out his masterpiece “Madvillany” if you want an example of fantastic modern music) creating some of the best rhyme schemes ever. That’s could only happen today, certainly not in the 60s. That, in my opinion is what the 2010s will be remembered for: the destruction of the “Main Stream” top 40s music and the creation of a lot more niche sections of music. The Beatles helped start this, and I think would have great appreciation for all the unique music of today. If you remember, the Beatles were often ridiculed for daring to try new things. they were once in the same position as many modern artists.
Young John’s vocal is feeling nice.Paul,George and Ringo are so youthful too. Very good!

John will always be the defacto frontman of the early beatles
It's curious. Once they achieved their success it's like John lost interest. His songs were still brilliant. Lucy, Walrus, Across the Universe. But he wasn't writing them at the breakneck speed like he did initially. Just before Paul took over though, he had Tomorrow Never Knows and She Said She Said. IMHO the greatest recordings ever.
