Yes is layer upon layer of greatness, and just when you think the song may be ending,it is literally just beginning! It climbs you up a mountain, walks you through a meadow, lulls you on the waves of the ocean, soars you up to the heavens, then gently lays you down again in a gorgeous field of wildflowers! Enjoy the journey!🏞🌊🌼🌿🌌💫🎶🤗😘
As an old Yes fan, I am always happy when Yes makes new friends. A song by them that you will surely like too: "Turn Of The Century" from the album Going For The One.
it always makes my day when someone discovers the music I've known and loved since it was first released in 1972, love the reaction on your face, beautiful!
One of the best bands and lead vocals of all time!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️☮️🎼🎤🎸🎹 Now try Their songs Perpetual Change, Starship Trooper And Turn of The Century! You will love these and many more included a soulful one called Onward from their album Tormato!
Ladies and gentlemen YES the greatest show on earth. For more Yes love songs: Turn Of The Century, Wonderous Stories, Onward and Not The Man I Use To Be. Enjoy 🙏🍁
This was a B side on a single I bought in the 1970's. It might have been Roundabout. I played it for the first time late one night and it blew me away.
You are beautiful, YES is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this song. I have experienced YES music since the early 70's. My all time favorite band. So many memories. This is a new one to add to the many. Thank you and God bless!
The very first moments of this song were not originally intended to be a part of the song. Steve Howe was tuning and it just so happened Rick Wakeman was playing the beginning chord low key in the background. When they heard it they just said, yeah that;s a keeper
Yes have been my favorite band for 50 years. Their style of progressive rock is unique. They are a band who take you on a sonic journey absolutely amazing music. You have picked a good song and one of their shorter songs to start with. I would suggest you try some songs from the Yes Album and Fragile next. Let you ear for this type of music develop before you jump into one of their longer and more complex epic masterpieces. Love your reaction and smile to this song. React to some more Yes and enjoy the sonic ride. Your reaction to this Yes song gets an instant subscribe from me.
There is nothing that could have prepared you for this. This is MUSIC! You’re reaction is genuine and your smile is beautiful. It was my joy to watch you feel and react to this song that means so much to me. Genuine!
I had the album when it came out. If you would listen to every song from the beginning to end you will not regret it. Each song smoothly transitions to the next. What you are listening to now I think Teacher/Preacher. The entire album is like that.
REVERY MOMENT OF EVERY SECOND OFEACH NOTE LIFTS THE HEART TOWARDS THE HEAVENS...after almost 5 decades I still can't hold back the TEARS of LOVE!!!! BLESS YES!!!!
Greetings from Canada, Nasa- welcome to the world of prog rock! Though it might seem overwhelming, if you think you're getting lost... just follow the bass line... Chris Squire will get you to where you need to be safely, even happily- perhaps stunned in amazement. Be safe.
You can't be in a hurry while listening to Yes! I was in high school when I first heard them. Their live performances were epic! The lead singer (what a voice!) and the synthesizer were magical.....a transcendent experience for true. So happy seeing you react to this! Thank you for sharing young lady! 😽💋🎶
Such a wonderfully sincere reaction for us to enjoy ....Thank you!!! Welcome to Yes....... You'll get lots of suggestions for other tracks....most are great. I agree with TheAmazingSpaghetti..... similar vibes will be found within Wonderous Stories & Turn of the Century .... Yes takes the listener through all emotional states (usually within one song too) but always delivers a positive and uplifting spirit ..... whether you react to them or just listen for yourself, at some point their EPICS "not to be missed" are "Close To The Edge, Gates of Delirium and Awaken" ... every fan has their favorite thoughts on how to approach Yes' music..but most would agree these pieces should be enjoyed at some point along the way........
Yes has been my fave band since 84'. So amazing and unique, nothing like them. If you like their pretty and mellow songs, try Wonderous Stories and Turn Of The Century. For jam songs try Roundabout first.
Can't really go wrong with YesSongs! Been loving them since the late '60s... Your facial reactions throughout the tune remind me of my first experience listening to them, so thanx.
It could be argued that every Yes song is a love song; love for a person, for life, for existence, even for whales. But if you want a romantic ballad, try Onward. IMHO, it's the greatest love song ever.
For another awesome Yes hit do "Yours Is No Disgrace" the first song from their 'The Yes Album' (1971) album. It was their seminal album that put them on the charts big time. Other great songs on that album too! @ 3:10 Wow is right on! LOL! Yes is like that. Wait until you do the title song off that same album you just did there!! Did I understand this is your first Yes song? Oh my! You're going to get pelted with Yes song suggestions Nasa! After doing 'Yours Is No Disgrace' consider the 3rd one called "Starship Trooper". All the songs are good on that album and the other albums that followed. ✌️😎
So...this is the kind of group that makes music for themselves...not for people to understand...to some extent anyway...they are all masters at their craft and intend to show that off.
Hello, greetings and love to you Nasa from the USA. I like your reaction on the Yes song" And You and I" from the album Close To The Edge. But may I suggest that you listen to the title track of the same album. It's an epic adventure (at least in my opinion) and it will blow you away. Plus also listen and react to "Wondrous Stories" and definitely listen to the final track "Awaken". Their both from the album Going For The One. I'm very glad that you had kept an open mind during and after you had listen to it. You know, just being out of your comfort zone. It's not often that I see a beautiful black woman, such as yourself, listen to something other than I guess what were custom too, I think. Some guy or gal of our own race will ask me what music and artist I'm listening to. Let's say for example The Rolling Stones and they'll ask me " well why you wanna listen to that?" And I'll tell them because I like it and they'll give me a negative look from their faces and walk off. I'm sure you felt the same way. But you're not the only one on this channel that listens and reacts to other artists. Other black women ( and men too) listens and reacts to other artists on other You Tube channels and that's very very cool. Now for the record I don't have a You Tube channel, I just like watching it. Listening to all sorts of music is like going to all different kinds of restaurants eating ( or at least trying) different kinds of foods. You see it, smell it, taste it, swallow it, like it and you want more. Music. You curiosity looking at the album or CD cover or by some easy chance watch it on RUclips channel. You hear it, you like it, love it and want to hear it again and again and again. So keep tuning in. I'm sure you will find other musical tastes and artists that you may had seen and heard or not. Keep up the good work. I'm giving you my " like thumb up" or whatever you call it and I'm going to subscribe your channel right now. Thanks
It's often hard to tell when a reaction is genuine, but I feel one sign is when there is a visible response to key moments of subtlety such as the section that begins at 4:36. I enjoyed your reaction to this even if perhaps you didn't have all the words to fully express the experience.
New subscriber here. What a lovely reaction, thank you. Yes music will be an amazing journey for you. An even more beautiful and moving love song from them is 'Turn of The Century'. You'll need to see the lyrics or at least read them first. It is absolute perfection I promise you 😊
This sounds great coming through the phones here (though I can only hear out of 1 ear now) Nasa I have a request for you to react to EMERSON LAKE AND PALMER 2 songs Fanfare for the common man and Lucky man see what you think of those

Steve Howe, voted World's Greatest Guitar Player, not once, not twice, not thrice, but FIVE consecutive years by his fellow guitar players, after which he was removed from the list of candidates so that somebody else might have a chance to win that award. And, yes, he does make a 12-string acoustic guitar sound fabulous, even when he is just tuning it up before beginning to play a song.
New sub here. Nice reaction to this fantastic song. Yes are awesome. Please reactto their song Starship Trooper. Check out the band Genesis as well, Cinema Show/Aisle of Plenty.
YES is the Original Christian Rock Band: "You and I".. (God + Me) You will also love "The Revealing Science of God" by YES. You will be in tears by the end of it.
Wondrous Stories, Gates of Delirium, I've Seen All Good People, Turn of the Century, Don't Kill the Whale and plenty of other Yes songs have easily understood lyrics. Others are more esoteric and impressionistic...
@@simonesbarigia2595 Jon Anderson chose words for his lyrics based on how the words sounded almost as for what the words meant. So you caught that very well.
Jon Anderson has the most beautiful male voice in rock music!
He's my male Sandy Denny or Lisa Gerard.
Freddie Mercury was pretty darn good as well.
After almost 50 years I'm listening to this beautiful medley it brings tears to my eyes. 🤣🤣

We played this song for my wedding 38 years ago.

I hope she discovers many more awesome songs from Yes. I'm 58 now and love Yes since about 1980 or 1981.
YES is one of the best. Ever. You were feeling it. That's all that counts.
Best version. I think I was about 6 when I first heard it back in '74. I loved it then. I love it now.
It's impossible not to love this song.
Promise you will not stop to listen this only once. YES are better each time you listen them 🎶🎵

Yes is total music.... when I saw them play this song on their 35 anniversary concert tour I shed a tear....
I thought I saw a tear, I cry when I hear this song. Try "Turn Of The Century" another very beautiful Love Song by YES, that will get a couple tears.
And 'Awaken'.
I've seen YES live a few times. Magical and majestic! YES was my first concert at the Forum in 1976. Incredible experience.
Great reaction!
