I thoroughly believe that a man like him, due to still being a man, was still resentful of his condition. He was a genius professor, achieved everything any professor would've ever wanted. But what about as a human being? This man of such an incredibly mind anchored himself so much to the physical world that he went to the very limits of the cosmos. But he never even once considered studying theology or things beyond the physical plane. They'd certainly ask for some kind of proof, and if not presented any, they'd certainly dismiss it as false. Yet when it comes to "holy books" that make a bunch of claims (like the earth being created in 6 days, a universal flood, a pair of one species having to repopulate the planet, a bunch of miracles made by a 30 yo, etc) they have no doubts it's true. I think those people fall into the sunk in bias, they don't want to admit that what they've invested so much time in could be a bunch of lies. That's for me the reason those people follow their ideologies so blindly. I was raised a Christian, however I was very critical and I didn't take everything as a fact just because the priest said so. I read the Bible and many other religious texts, I take the valuable lessons and disregard the ones that are not right for me. People should always be critical and open minded.

I grew up Christian my whole life, and I’ve always heard Stephen hawking is like a “bad” guy or he’s one of those who will try to steer people from God, and just a simple listen makes it seem as though he understands that if there is a God our laws may be set in place by him and are unaltered once he sets them! Like that is so much more unifying than I had previously known

It's not that easy buddy. 1st of all you rushed to combine the notion of a god entity with the god presented in the bible. Science maybe can't put the god notion to the test, but up to this day it has yet to prove any posibbility for something coming out of nothing or - life coming out of raw chemicial contractions.Thus, with all the complexity and harmony in which the universe works {and I know how hard this claim is laughed about by Dawkins and his followers] - the matter of fact is that up to this date, there is a posibbility for an inteligent design of the universe, and this aspect is being checked out in the physics department by some. Genesis 2 doesn't contradict that, however it does tell the story in a different literature manner, focusing on other massage to provide than the 1st story. In Genesis 2 we can see at verse 5-6, that along the man not being created yet, there also has yet any water to come upon earth to nourish it in order for the - specific vegetation: shrubs and trees - to grow. The water nourishment came before the man as we can see at verse 6. From here on the story coniniue in it's own context, not as a encore for the first story fut as a parallel perspective which continiues the 1st story towards the massage in it's own context. I grew up Christian my whole life, and I’ve always heard Stephen hawking is like a “bad” guy or he’s one of those who will try to steer people from God, and just a simple listen makes it seem as though he understands that if there is a God our laws may be set in place by him and are unaltered once he sets them! Like that is so much more unifying than I had previously known

It's not that easy buddy. 1st of all you rushed to combine the notion of a god entity with the god presented in the bible. Science maybe can't put the god notion to the test, but up to this day it has yet to prove any posibbility for something coming out of nothing or - life coming out of raw chemicial contractions.Thus, with all the complexity and harmony in which the universe works {and I know how hard this claim is laughed about by Dawkins and his followers] - the matter of fact is that up to this date, there is a posibbility for an inteligent design of the universe, and this aspect is being checked out in the physics department by some.

According to Genesis 1, the shrubs and the trees specifically, and generally all the foundation for the vegetation spectrum, was created in the 3rd day, long before man had walked on earth. Genesis 2 doesn't contradict that, however it does tell the story in a different literature manner, focusing on other massage to provide than the 1st story. In Genesis 2 we can see at verse 5-6, that along the man not being created yet, there also has yet any water to come upon earth to nourish it in order for the - specific vegetation: shrubs and trees - to grow. The water nourishment came before the man as we can see at verse 6. From here on the story coniniue in it's own context, not as a encore for the first story fut as a parallel perspective which continiues the 1st story towards the massage in it's own context. No contradiction here.
