I am Kazakh and a traditional dish of ours is horse meat which may sound crazy but horses have been the most important animal to us for centuries. We respect them and eat them so their lives after death do not go to waste. I’m sure it is similar with the camels.

Yep, I would absolutly try camel meat. however, you can have my portion of hump and fat. I simply don't like fat caps on prime rib or roats beef or even bbq . The texture and flavor is quickly too much. However i would still take one bite to try them... If i desperatly needed calories to survive friggid temperatures, I likely would figure out how to eat some of the fat . Potein is what i crave most though. And to that ,I say that meat itself looks amazing

the camel is very well-known in the Middle East and West Africa. you are shocked because it’s not part of your culture, just as others might be shocked to see that your main dishes often contain very fatty and unhealthy ingredients and junk or that in some countries, it’s customary for meals to be extremely spicy. to each their own culture :)
