I love how the Emirati man treated the Indian chefs with respect, as an Arab living in Dubai, i see that many of the asian workers are treated with disrespect and seen as inferor.
Agreed. Usually when you think about arabs, you basically imagine some super wealthy dude with cash aplenty and a matching attitude for his wealth. I think that's a huge misconception among people developed largely due to media portrayal. Peyman was so cool and friendly in this video with the attitude of a very accomodating host and looked like someone you can hang out with even if you didn't know him. Especially liked the way he explained the various customs and traditions of arab culture, kudos to him.
There was probably 70/80 dollars worth of saffron in his hand that was sprinkled...not to mention the amount that was already in the marinade....I almost had a heart attack! A meal fit for kings and emperors.
Common Sense Supreme Exactly that was my perception, saffron are golden strands given the very delicacy in the extraction and in their quantities. Thanks for the comment.

It seems a lot are confused, but camel meat was eaten for probably thousands of years in the Arabian Peninsula it’s just considered a pretty dang big deal. And you’d never eat a racing camel or one that you bonded with as a travelling companion unless in extreme cases. A bedouin’s love to his camel is very real and I am pretty sure many take issues with eating camels on sentimental grounds. What you seeing here is considered the highest form of hospitality that only the super wealthy could afford back in the day (and even today) and it would make news in town that so and so had a camel for the feast, say for like a big wedding feeding hundreds of guests as opposed to the two you see here ^^” Something that happens once in a bluemoon!

What is the point of all this extravaganza? Food porn. This is truly a naked display of wealth. Emiratis have very little to call their "own". Here they are eating a biryani (Indianized version of an ancient Persian delicacy). Insane amount of saffron (saffron is a bitter spice and is used sparingly at best) the dead carcass is doused with "ghee" which will ultimately coat your tastebuds and prevent them from experiencing finer nuances of the spices. Dubai is where people with ill gotten wealth go to splurge. A modern day Sodom.
In fact, the countries of the Arabian Peninsula have a common culture and are very similar to the point that you will not be able to differentiate between them easily, because in fact they are one people who carry the same blood in their veins and have common genealogies and common tribes, only the borders of the countries that separate them
Fun fact. when i see fancy restaurants in europe i mostly see a dish as big as the size of a side dish while the price is like you paid for a all you can eat plate. When i look at restaurants in the east i see a dish for 1 person that could almost fit on 2 plates. For mostly a good price too. Now the thing i noticed is. Europe serves small but fancy/ detailed dish. The East doesnt care about the look that much they care more for the flavors and good proportions.
Fun fact. When I see 'restaurants' in the East I mostly see dishes with second-grade quality cuts and volume from cheap simple carbs like rice and couscous. Europe doesn't care about the facade of high volumes of food because there's no shortage of food to compensate for. Europe serves smaller (normal) portions because the flavor is more important than to fill you up for a day of hard labor. If you need more than a plate of food you're either not eating enough throughout the day or you're overeating. That's not what 'good proportions' look like.

No the Romans would label them as Barbarians, because they used at least spons while eating, the Ritcher Romans even used knifes and forks. quatr.us/romans/people-eat-ancient-rome-roman-silverware-dishes.htm And too be honest I would find this quid insulting if I were the chef there, to get such an delicious feast preporatet for the guests and than they eat it with there dirty hands, and they are dirty didn't you notice how they went from the kitchen to the tabel without washing hands. The best was this lokal Guide than even passing the meat from his, to the other guys hand's. Hmmmm microbs guess that's the special spice. But no offence the food looks really good, I would just eat it in a different way and the Romans too.
@@shoaibhasan5620 not sure bro, those meat blocks are huge, I don't think there would be big difference between the plates weight and Matt's total body weight 😂
@@fahidhassan7173 im pretty sure biryani was originated in india and perhaps maybe pakistan. No other country has developed the masalas that work so well together other than india and pakistan. Everyone else just cloned it and added their own twist to it. Ive had irani and afghani and tamil/sri lankin biryani and they are all just a dull version to the true indian pakistani biryani which is so full of flavor amd spices and armoa.
yep but now the India, Pakistan, Bangladesh once were the same country called the Bharat or modern name India. Thanks to the British rules we are now separated but united by the same food.
@@akuma4u actually it origintate from the battle field of mughal and pershian emperor. they used to make it by mixing rice and meat to avoid wasting the time. some spices added later from indian regeion.

I just found out about this video now and I love your content! I also love how appreciative and game you are to learn and try eating traditional food and you're also very natural around them. Keep it up! 🙌🏻

Am I the only one who’s mouth is watering????? This looks delicious and if I was there, I’d be digging in. I’d eat with my hands too!!! “when in Rome”
Romeo Santiago
Camera turn off and rip that food
Eden Hazard 💯 facts bro
Do as the Romans do." Exactly :D
No the Romans would label them as Barbarians, because they used at least spons while eating, the Ritcher Romans even used knifes and forks. quatr.us/romans/people-eat-ancient-rome-roman-silverware-dishes.htm
And too be honest I would find this quid insulting if I were the chef there, to get such an delicious feast preporatet for the guests and than they eat it with there dirty hands, and they are dirty didn't you notice how they went from the kitchen to the tabel without washing hands. The best was this lokal Guide than even passing the meat from his, to the other guys hand's. Hmmmm microbs guess that's the special spice.
But no offence the food looks really good, I would just eat it in a different way and the Romans too.
Sapere aude, Diogenes that’s bullshit. I live in Rome and we eat Pizza with our hands lol 😂
Matt Stonie wants to know your location....
😂😂😂 exactly...Matt stonie can finish it alone.
@@shoaibhasan5620 not sure bro, those meat blocks are huge, I don't think there would be big difference between the plates weight and Matt's total body weight 😂
This is basically the arab version of biryani
Biriyani is basically an Arabian food..YK
@@akuma4u mesopatmia was a civilization before the arayans came to India from India
This Dubai guy is awesome... I love the way he explains things.. so humble and cordial... thumbs up...

It's not a joke or funny that these animals has to die just for our consumption..we have been so badly brainwashed we have become blind to the voiceless

That saffron though! Bruh just came out with a $300 fist full of saffron and started making it rain.
Wow I just burst out laughing!
marmitecake saffron is costly all around the world...
Vanger48912 there are different qualities of saffron some are less expensive, specially the saffron that is used in cooking .. more expensive one is the one used for making special types of perfumes or used in Arabic coffee
