This appears very similar to the Mahle filter also made in Indonesia. I bought a case of them from RockAuto $18.50USD here in the States. The Toyota version is around $30USD. The Toyota version uses a different bi-pass media I believe. The Mahle and Toyota versions weigh exactly the same.

Very Interesting oil filter, I dont think Ive ever seen one like that. Do you know what the micron rating is for the white filter media?
