Best version yet, IMHO. Great colours, great dial texture. I don't care about the date legibility: a cyclops would ruin the watch for me. I've bought the BN0225-04L 'Whale Shark' (LE) recently, which has a tiny, deep sunk date window. Who cares? When I get up in the morning, I know which day it is, and how often do you need today's date anyway?
WOW - I've always been a fan of Citizen. Have an Eco-drive that I bought 16yrs ago, its still running perfectly. This is my favorite Fugu yet. I love that dial, I'm not a big fan of yellow in general but for some reason on this watch it works. Nice job Citizen, I just might have to sell something to make room for this one.
Holy crap, you're right! Thanks Dave for the catch! I just watched a video of a male Fugu trying to impress the ladies with his sand art/love shack. Very cool!
Does it have the blue lume? It appears green in the video and I’ve noticed Citizen appears to be moving away from it in new releases, which is a pity IMHO
Hey just thought I'd mention to you about protek watches I thought I just commented about it but it didn't work my bad I picked up the blue dial puffer at Macy's can't wait to wear it 😅
My pet peeve with these Citizen watches is the 20mm lug width. To me, having a 44mm case means you should have at least a 22mm lug width. It just looks better on the wrist.
Nice idea. but aesthetically it's just ...blech. I suppose I'd rather have this than an actual piece of seaweed draped around my wrist. Good call about the cyclops, something about the dial texture makes the daydate digits harder to read. Thanks for the vid.
Definitely one of the best dive watches made in the past 5 years.

Citizen are making some very good looking watches these days with eco drive can't really go wrong ,and the price is very good.
Great looking watch. Nice review, thanks!
Very welcome!

The dial looks like the bottom/foot (reverse face?) of a living sand dollar as seen underwater.
You sure its not the pattern the pufferfish makes in the sand when mating?

I wish they'd kept the dimensions the same as it's predecessor (ny0040) 41.something mm, but wore more like a small 40.
Couldn't agree more
whats the difference from the classic ones?
Music is too loud!! 😢😢 subscribed!
So you subscribed or unsubscribed?...lol.
Is the case really 44mm?

If Citizen ever puts a cyclops on a FUGU, I will be blaming you for down-classing one of my favorite watches….
I'll take the blame😁

It wears more like a 42. I bought a bracelet for mine from Island Watch that tapers and I love it.

It's not as noticeable in person. I wish they'd lose the day/date on every watch. Can't stand it/them.
