    I love my maps. Durable, reliable, and they give you a bigger picture. Plus I feel more in tune with my map and compass instead of my phone telling me what to do.
    The apps are a nice tool but I'll keep my paper maps always.

      Yep! Something about maps and their tangibility and knowing they won't glitch. Apps certainly make things nice and easy though.

    Personally, I don't trust digital maps. After I took my phone camping with me in -5 and the battery died over night, my battery bank also died. I was glad I had a physical map with me! One other time I was with a group, we were using the leaders phone. And the path on his phone didn't even exist! Was glad I had my physical map with me then! There are something that you simply HAVE to always be able to access, reliably, with no worry. And a map is one of those!

      Agreed. Apps are nice. But maps can save the day.

    I use caltopo and Avenza maps, those are best duo. No membership fees needed 👌. Caltopo with free mode not working offline but I can export map to pdf and use it in avenza😂
