Didn’t get castoria. Didn’t get Oberon. Didn’t get Koyan. I’m prolly gonna try for castoria but this game just doesn’t want me to have any of the meta supports.

I’m by no means desperate for these units but I really wanted to go for the aoe berserker GSSR (I’ve never had any 5* aoe berserkers) but meta wise the castoria banner is just too good. Even if I get Merlin I’d be happy cause this bozo has evaded me for ages.
I use the point system whenever a GSSR comes. You can use it too, but I'd suggest you use Excel or something to track. Basically you divide all servants in every banners into 4 groups: Want; Don't have; Have; Don't like/hate. And you give or take points away from the banner base on how many servants in that group. [Want] is the group you want to have a single copy or higher NP. (+2 points) [Don't have] is where you don't mind getting them but there's more favorable choices. (+1 point) [Have] is where you already have the servant and don't WANT higher NP. (-1 points) [Don't like/hate] is where you specifically don't want to roll on that servant EVER; either because NP5, you already have better choices, or you just hate that servant. (-2 points) Then just ignore those banners that has negative points, and consider on banners with higher points.
The issue with GSSR is that, when you have a decent acount half of the banner are literally mines. I just put money into the GSSR and still just roll the banner with the most servants i dont have of i dont mind a Np 2' cause most or my SSR are np 1, go for Kiara this year but any servant In the banner is welcome

Having been a f2p since 2017, I was always jealous to see those that roll for GSSR. But this year has been good to me that I actually got Oberon, Koyan, Summer Skadi, Proto Merlin, Van Gogh, Castoria, and a few days ago, caster Skadi. Only aiming for summer skadi tbh but hey, lady luck is sure on my side this year haha. Goodluck on your rolls!
The berserker aoe seems like the best banner if you have the meta supports, but not gonna lie; Bazette just being different makes her entertaining to use. And van Gogh and Avalon would also make me happy to get.
AOE Berserker is just so good, either you get a new one or an extra NP level on one of the powerful berserkers that you have already, can't lose. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't need one of the meta supports and don't have someone that you specifically want to try for.
I'm probably rolling on that one despite already having NP2 Godjuna, and NP1s Summer Ibuki & Morgan. I actually want to upgrade their NPs as I'm not too interested in the 3 Servants who'd be new to me....
I got spooked by Foreigner Abigail and got real deflated because she was the first reveal and I've been chasing Oboron every banner he pops up. But as if FGO knew I've been having absolute dogwater Hoyoverse luck, the gods gifted me a double unit pull and blessed me with my first Oboron. So that's neat.
For me, I'm going for the Single Target Assassin Banner. It is the only banner where i have none of the listed servants. All 3 are quite good, and characters i like. My account is fairly well stocked, and i am more interested in getting a new servant over getting additional NP levels.
Already have Oberon, Castoria, Koyanskaya, and caster Skadi, along with regular Merlin. Went for proto-Merlin, hoping to avoid a Sherlock dupe. Got Bazett and a surprise Qin Shi Huang.
I'm someone who's in the awkwardly blessed position of already having Castoria, Koyanlight, Oberon, BOTH Skadis, Miss Crane, Merlin, NP2 Melusine, NP2 Summer Ibuki, AND a bunch of the other "most/more desirable" Servants in a bunch of these Banners...^^' So similarly, I reeeaaally don't know what to aim for here... I mean I *wanted* a strong Single-Target Damage Caster since one other than *Medea* and Circe is something my box is really missing these days...but them they go and combine them with the Supports. Whom I all already have. I suppose on the overall I may in fact end up going for either the Extra Single Target Offensive NP one for a shot at either Jalter, Taira, Meltrillis or Yang Or the Extra Quick AoE Offensive NP one, since even if I already have Ruler Skadi, gettinf NP2 of HER would actually still be beneficial in a big way, and otherwise one way or the other get a Servant that I've either always wanted, think is really cool, and/or is really strong in some manner or another. I *suppose* other alternatives could be the ST Berserkers one for either NP3 Kintoki or else the other two I don’t have yet, AoE Berserkers for either a much-appreciated NP level on the ones I already have OR getting one of the only two I *don't* have, or maybe even Extra Support for a shot at Van Gogh while being okay with getting NP2 Bazett or acquiring Qin Shi Huang or Sherlock...even if, while I LOVE them, getting NP2 of Himiko or Lady Avalon would be kinda...well, not very useful, per se.^^' Yeah, its just a hodgepodge mess all around...seriously, why did they have to sort them up like THIS of all ways...
Clearly the Extra Support NP banner is the best, at least if you’ve got a reasonably good box already. My only concern about it myself is that I might end up with another Bazett who I already have at NP5 (quite how Bazett, arguably one of the best offensive units in the game, gets classified as a support is a discussion for another time). Bazett aside I could get a NP2 Himiko or Van Gogh, making them actually usable in more difficult content (NP1 is really only for trying a character out), Lady A up to NP3 or a Qin or Holmes who I don’t have and might be fun to mess around with with. The Bazett risk notwithstanding I think I’ll go for this one. For less well developed accounts the AoE Berserker looks best. Although I personally hate Raikou in terms of both character and design, and Summer Mushashi is supposed to be permanently erased from the Throne in the story which should make her impossible to pull (I do wish they had the guts to implement these story points properly in the gacha), there’s still a 4 in 6 chance of getting Arjuna Alter, Summer Ibuki, Komahime/Rikyu or Morgan which is pretty good (though I already have all those at NP3 to 5).

This GSSR is really hard for me. I have literally every meta support servant and most meta damage dealers. I guess it comes down to which servants I wouldn't mind NP2. My Melusine is NP3 already.
PEOPLE SHOULD FOCUS INTO THE NEW META MULTICORE FARMING, Koyanskaya of Darkness is one of the most important servants this year and next year. But you need NP 2+.
I'm going for the single target assassin banner. Purely because I need a good assassin. Don't get me wrong, I like my Jack but her skills aren't the best (in my opinion). But if I go for that banner I'll either get X(who gets a good amount of quartz from skill upgrade, and hits hard), Kama(who's arts looping is insane), or King Hassan(one of the best solo servants in the game). Don't get me wrong the AOE Berserker banner is tempting. But at the same time, there is a summer musashi banner for the Samurai/ Remnant collab. I can wait for that.
I've seen a lot of people saying they're going to roll Single Target Assassin - perhaps I've been noticing them because I plan to summon on that one myself. I'm hoping to get Mysterious Heroine X so I don't have to roll for her later this year - because I will. But NP2 Kama would be awesome. And Old Man as the "consolation prize"? Sign me the hell up. I'm guaranteed to get something I'll like.
im going for AoE rider low key which i think has the most overlooked units for how good it is.iskandar gets a buff later on that makes him dummy nutty, ivan is a lowkey amazing buster rider. i would consider one of the most overlooked units in the game. da vinci rider a great looping unit and somewhat support and bakin who also is a good damage dealer.
I was planning the same until I saw Ivan. He doesn't have a 30% battery and that's a problem for me. I'm tempted by the Proto Merlin banner, but stills even more risky.
I’m so deeply torn between quick extra aoe because Summer Skaldi is the only support I lack now (Oberon’s most recent banner was so kind to me thank god I got to keep most of my quartz for Tez) or for the archer aoe one as I have zero SSR archers! I hav a high np-level Baobahn to cover my st archer needs but no aoe to speak of
I'll probably go for Extra Support. I already have Sherlock and lady Avalon. A 2nd copy of these is the worst case possible but it isn't that terrible and landing any of the others is pretty good since everyone in this slot is pretty good. All the other slots are either meh of have good options mixed with undesirable ones. Imagine trying to land a Dark Koyan or Oberon only to end with a summer Abigail. Or an Arcueid or Amakusa and you land a Bunnytoria. Or a Merlin or Castoria but you end up with a Illya.
I’m probably going to go for the aoe zerk one. None of these are espy good for me, but that is probably the best for me. Hoping for one of the buster zerks or rikyu over np2 of musashi or ibuki
I'm so thorn between Amakusa banner and Van Gog banner... Ruler and Foreigners are my "thing" on FGO and these have some servants that I wanted since day 1 I started playing. But I totally can see mysef pullying an abomination like Avenger nobu. I suppose Van Gogh/Holmes banner is the safest cuz even if I end up pulling Bazzet, shes fun.
I’m between the rider aoe banner or the assassin aoe banner. They both have some servants I don’t have (Ivan, Rider DaVinci, Cleopatra, Shuten) but I’m afraid of getting np2 of a servant I rarely use (Iskandar and Semiramis).
Would probably go for the Extra Buster AOE banner if it didn't have that summer Abby landmine. The other characters are three waifus and Mothman who I couldn't get this month because of Koyan and may not be able to get during summer because it's summer. Though Lancer ST is good too, also three waifus and Bryn who is still pretty cool.
Single target archer also pretty solid imo. Single target assassin looks cool to have. Berserker aoe, not bad. Extra support, holmes feel iffy, qin shi huang falls off for soloing in late game lostbelts. These banners id consider bangers since looking at placements of meta supports, it's pretty much a coinflip.
Honestly, I just went with the mindset that I'm not gonna get what I want, so I chose the AoE Lancer banner, wanting anyone but Ryuma. I then proceeded to get Ryuma. Glad my Christmas google play gift card went to good use.
Man, these are all tough. I'm strongly considering either of the Archer banners, in which the only whammies to me would be Moriatry (and a few others would be less than ideal, but all some improvement to my options). I think I would also benefit from most options on the Extra single or AoE buster, but they have some real whammies.
Going with the AOE Berserker one, I only have SIbuki NP1 and I'd either like a NP2, Arjuna Alter or Morgan. Recently got Castoria Oberon and Koyanskaya so I've had enough of Supports for the moment
Good for you i lost all my sq for castoria but still did not get her but i do have a copy of Oberon and Koyanskaya so im good to only buster looping with my arjuna alter
Crane is great because she's so cute. Also she can some serious meme teams with using kscope and then double NPing with her and give your DPS 60% NP Up, 40% Atk Up, & 50% crit just on top of all your normal Supports since NPing twice will push 2 of the backline into play. Might never be optimal but if you want to flex some Damage numbers lol. Personally I'm going to Extra Single Target, only one I don't want is Bunyan, got Melt and Jalter so would love NP2 and I just like all the other characters in the pool. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a Multi 5*.
I want Van Gogh but Holmes already ruined my GSSRs twice this year. I'm going for the ST Assassins. Either I get King Hassan, MHX or a 2nd copy of Kama. I'll be fine regardless

I decided that i will gamble for Charlie, he's My favorita male Servant and to complete My collection he's the last piece On JP i get all the actual tamamos and Hakunon to the 120 (i need more coins to max her) and i Will max Hakunon on NA Now, if i get Charlie i have obtained all My favorite characters
I’m going for the AOE Berserker one. The only five star I have is NP2 Morgan, and all my 4 starts are single target so i need more AOE servants. My first choice would be mushasi. But I’ll settle for anyone except Morgan.

I'm going to the Archer ST class. I decided I'm going to roll for Archer Artoria, even though I have a NP3 Moriarty, Artoria is my favorite Servant and to complete my Artoria collection, Archer is one of the last pieces, considering the ones released on the JP.
Right now I'm thinking extra support. I have all the meta support so don't need to go for them. Extra support I either get a new servant, or get a higher np for someone I have. Regardless of which you roll on I hope you get the servant you most want in the GSSR.
2 years ago I went for the AOE Offensive NP banner and got Summer Musashi on both my JP accounts. I was so salty that I dropped one of the accounts for good lol I will never pull on another banner that includes this unit. Might go for the Saber AOE or Lancer AOE banner this time.
I just had to go for the ST caster banner since my latest failure in getting her (all my SQ for the past six months all for nothing🥲) I thought I might end up with Ilya or Izumo but I got a double, both Castoria and Miss Crane!!!! Now I can save for her berserker form and hopefully some other servants. I think I might have used some of my new years luck in this Gssr hopefully Kukulkan will come in 100 pulls🤞all the best pulls for everyone pulling
EXTRA ST Offensive is cursed for me. On one hand it has the most servants I don't have in Melt, Super Bunyan, and Kagekiyo. On the other hand I have a 1/6 chance of getting an ABSOLUTE dud because I already have Yang Gufei at NP5. 😂
I'm really feeling the ST Archer. I've wanted Moriarty for a while, I just think he's cool. But I also would not be sad to get a Super Orion either. I already have an Artoria Archer and I don't really intend to build her so it would really suck if I get her np2. ST Saber isn't a bad choice since I need one, but Stabstolfo is getting a banner soon so I'll probably just pull for that goofy little fella then. Either way I really need some ST love this new year.
I think archer aoe is the best for me since i already have cast, oberon, and koyan. Also gil, ishtar, and jeanne would be fun to have while np2 sei i wouldn't mind.
Either gonna do Aoe saber because Charlie Arthur and Shiki would be cool and I wouldn't mind np 2 for the others. Single Assassin would be cool because I want kama and hassan.

I'm set on Extra single target this GSSR. I have all meta supports and most broken dps servants, so I'm going for something new. The only servant I have on this one is Bunyan, and if I pull an NP2, then that just means she's now usable even more so when we get her buff.
Its going to be either Extra AOE Buster 1 or AoE Archers for me - duds being BB and Sei NP2 respectively, which is the first time on a GSSR i do not have a banner with a guaranteed new servant.
Caster illya was my first SSR She murdered pillars. I'm rolling on that zekr aoe offensive one I don't have any of those servants and the worst I can do is raiko
Wild conspiracy theory but what if all versions get a version 2 of Destiny Summons. Normal GSSRs are split between class and/or card type so what if we have a 7 tabs for chance to get a ST/AE QAB or support.
Same have Oberan and normal Skadi so best case I get Summer Skadi, worst case I'll take one as support (actual best is double but can't expect that lol).

I’m leaning towards that Berserker Banner, just to try for Rikyu. That, or the ST Assassin banner, just to guarantee someone new. Been debating this for half a year.
Totally torn between the safe ST Archer: don’t have an SSR ST Archer- have beserker musashi, Ishtar and some SRs but any of them would be good- slight preference against Moriarty Other pick is going for either of the Kiaras, Spishtar whose design I like, wouldn’t mind Hokusai or Young Moriarty- already have S Kama but she’s worst case senario and the NP level would help.
Going mothman's banner. About the only one where there isnt a 50%+ chance of getting someone i don't want. And even worst case if i get summer abby she'll be of some use to me
As someone who has all supports and around 2/3 to 4/5 of every banner,going to go for a np raise to my aoe berserkers. Tempted to try get okita alter cause I love the design but will wait!
Thanks for the video and the information. I have at least one copy of each SSR Servant, so it's a matter of deciding which one would benefit the most from extra NP levels. I may go for Archetype: EARTH, as I understand her NP damage gets much better at higher levels. I'm open to other suggestions though. :)
archetype earth is a good choice to go for or just hit the zerker banner... none of those servants are bad so getting np2 of any of them especially like godjuna would never be bad

its because her np is considered a support np since it doesnt directly deal damage itself per se
Now that I have all the Premier supports, This looks like a good opportunity to give my aoe Berserkers a little more oomph.
I will go for AoE Berserker. I will either get a NP3 Arjuna Alter, NP2 Musashi / Ibuki or a brand new unit (I still want Morgan).

People forget the gssrs with fewer options are objectively better from an odds standpoint. Now if a newbie needs a recommendation go AOE zerk.

I just pulled on the Oberon banner......he came home along with Konyskaya. Its still 2024 for me so hopefully I didn't just use all my luck for 2025
im going for AoE rider low key which i think has the most overlooked units for how good it is.iskandar gets a buff later on that makes him dummy nutty, ivan is a lowkey amazing buster rider. i would consider one of the most overlooked units in the game. da vinci rider a great looping unit and somewhat support and bakin who also is a good damage dealer.
I was planning the same until I saw Ivan. He doesn't have a 30% battery and that's a problem for me. I'm tempted by the Proto Merlin banner, but stills even more risky.
I’m so deeply torn between quick extra aoe because Summer Skaldi is the only support I lack now (Oberon’s most recent banner was so kind to me thank god I got to keep most of my quartz for Tez) or for the archer aoe one as I have zero SSR archers! I hav a high np-level Baobahn to cover my st archer needs but no aoe to speak of
didn't get any units I wanted last year so took a long break and came back right before Christmas I need this gssr to go well for me
Probably gonna throw at Caster since it's honestly a win no matter what, I get Izumo or NP2 Illya, NP4 Castoria, or a support I don't have yet
I'll probably go for Extra Support. I already have Sherlock and lady Avalon. A 2nd copy of these is the worst case possible but it isn't that terrible and landing any of the others is pretty good since everyone in this slot is pretty good.
All the other slots are either meh of have good options mixed with undesirable ones. Imagine trying to land a Dark Koyan or Oberon only to end with a summer Abigail. Or an Arcueid or Amakusa and you land a Bunnytoria. Or a Merlin or Castoria but you end up with a Illya.
I'm going for the EXTRA Single Offensive for either Melt or Yang. If not them, then an NP2 of the others is fine, too.

I’m probably going to go for the aoe zerk one. None of these are espy good for me, but that is probably the best for me. Hoping for one of the buster zerks or rikyu over np2 of musashi or ibuki

I'm so thorn between Amakusa banner and Van Gog banner... Ruler and Foreigners are my "thing" on FGO and these have some servants that I wanted since day 1 I started playing. But I totally can see mysef pullying an abomination like Avenger nobu. I suppose Van Gogh/Holmes banner is the safest cuz even if I end up pulling Bazzet, shes fun.
AOE Berserker for sure, I wouldnt mind a second copy of Riki and I want all the others especially Ibuki or Arjuna
I’m between the rider aoe banner or the assassin aoe banner. They both have some servants I don’t have (Ivan, Rider DaVinci, Cleopatra, Shuten) but I’m afraid of getting np2 of a servant I rarely use (Iskandar and Semiramis).
Would probably go for the Extra Buster AOE banner if it didn't have that summer Abby landmine. The other characters are three waifus and Mothman who I couldn't get this month because of Koyan and may not be able to get during summer because it's summer. Though Lancer ST is good too, also three waifus and Bryn who is still pretty cool.
Im going for Kagekiyo, merlin, or Saber Ibuki. I got summer Ibuki. Now i need saber Ibuki.

Single target archer also pretty solid imo. Single target assassin looks cool to have. Berserker aoe, not bad. Extra support, holmes feel iffy, qin shi huang falls off for soloing in late game lostbelts. These banners id consider bangers since looking at placements of meta supports, it's pretty much a coinflip.
Honestly, I just went with the mindset that I'm not gonna get what I want, so I chose the AoE Lancer banner, wanting anyone but Ryuma. I then proceeded to get Ryuma. Glad my Christmas google play gift card went to good use.
I am going to be pulling for an extra support NP. Looking for lady avalon, but happy with about 3 or 4 options.
Man, these are all tough. I'm strongly considering either of the Archer banners, in which the only whammies to me would be Moriatry (and a few others would be less than ideal, but all some improvement to my options). I think I would also benefit from most options on the Extra single or AoE buster, but they have some real whammies.
Going with the AOE Berserker one, I only have SIbuki NP1 and I'd either like a NP2, Arjuna Alter or Morgan. Recently got Castoria Oberon and Koyanskaya so I've had enough of Supports for the moment
Good for you i lost all my sq for castoria but still did not get her but i do have a copy of Oberon and Koyanskaya so im good to only buster looping with my arjuna alter

Crane is great because she's so cute. Also she can some serious meme teams with using kscope and then double NPing with her and give your DPS 60% NP Up, 40% Atk Up, & 50% crit just on top of all your normal Supports since NPing twice will push 2 of the backline into play. Might never be optimal but if you want to flex some Damage numbers lol.
Personally I'm going to Extra Single Target, only one I don't want is Bunyan, got Melt and Jalter so would love NP2 and I just like all the other characters in the pool. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a Multi 5*.
I want Van Gogh but Holmes already ruined my GSSRs twice this year.

Right now I'm thinking extra support. I have all the meta support so don't need to go for them. Extra support I either get a new servant, or get a higher np for someone I have.
Regardless of which you roll on I hope you get the servant you most want in the GSSR.
2 years ago I went for the AOE Offensive NP banner and got Summer Musashi on both my JP accounts. I was so salty that I dropped one of the accounts for good lol
I will never pull on another banner that includes this unit.
Might go for the Saber AOE or Lancer AOE banner this time.
I just had to go for the ST caster banner since my latest failure in getting her (all my SQ for the past six months all for nothing🥲) I thought I might end up with Ilya or Izumo but I got a double, both Castoria and Miss Crane!!!! Now I can save for her berserker form and hopefully some other servants. I think I might have used some of my new years luck in this Gssr hopefully Kukulkan will come in 100 pulls🤞all the best pulls for everyone pulling
EXTRA ST Offensive is cursed for me. On one hand it has the most servants I don't have in Melt, Super Bunyan, and Kagekiyo. On the other hand I have a 1/6 chance of getting an ABSOLUTE dud because I already have Yang Gufei at NP5. 😂
I'm really feeling the ST Archer. I've wanted Moriarty for a while, I just think he's cool. But I also would not be sad to get a Super Orion either. I already have an Artoria Archer and I don't really intend to build her so it would really suck if I get her np2. ST Saber isn't a bad choice since I need one, but Stabstolfo is getting a banner soon so I'll probably just pull for that goofy little fella then. Either way I really need some ST love this new year.
I think archer aoe is the best for me since i already have cast, oberon, and koyan. Also gil, ishtar, and jeanne would be fun to have while np2 sei i wouldn't mind.
These groupings give me conniptions. I want Taira, but Abby being on there scares me.
Either gonna do Aoe saber because Charlie Arthur and Shiki would be cool and I wouldn't mind np 2 for the others. Single Assassin would be cool because I want kama and hassan.
I can't decide if I want to risk for np4 melu or choose a rider banner （I don't have a single rider in that list so new servant guaranteed)

I'm set on Extra single target this GSSR. I have all meta supports and most broken dps servants, so I'm going for something new. The only servant I have on this one is Bunyan, and if I pull an NP2, then that just means she's now usable even more so when we get her buff.

Wild conspiracy theory but what if all versions get a version 2 of Destiny Summons. Normal GSSRs are split between class and/or card type so what if we have a 7 tabs for chance to get a ST/AE QAB or support.
Extra quick ofensive Np, really want Douman or Skady. Worst case scenario, I get Molay.
Same have Oberan and normal Skadi so best case I get Summer Skadi, worst case I'll take one as support (actual best is double but can't expect that lol).

I’m leaning towards that Berserker Banner, just to try for Rikyu. That, or the ST Assassin banner, just to guarantee someone new. Been debating this for half a year.
Totally torn between the safe ST Archer: don’t have an SSR ST Archer- have beserker musashi, Ishtar and some SRs but any of them would be good- slight preference against Moriarty
Other pick is going for either of the Kiaras, Spishtar whose design I like, wouldn’t mind Hokusai or Young Moriarty- already have S Kama but she’s worst case senario and the NP level would help.
ST Quick for me, I'll be happy with all of them but I'd prefer Konstantine or Reines tbh

Thanks for the video and the information. I have at least one copy of each SSR Servant, so it's a matter of deciding which one would benefit the most from extra NP levels. I may go for Archetype: EARTH, as I understand her NP damage gets much better at higher levels. I'm open to other suggestions though. :)
archetype earth is a good choice to go for or just hit the zerker banner... none of those servants are bad so getting np2 of any of them especially like godjuna would never be bad
