This is mentioned in the book Gulshan Ibrahim, which dates back to Akbar's reign Al-Badwani also wrote about the magic of the daughter of Barmal on Akbar in the book “Muktab al-Tarikh” in the second volume, and al-Badwani is a historian of the era of Akbar
I think the reason behind so much of enigma around MUZ was his husband's giant and monumental persona which didn't let contemporary people to notice the legends of MUZ, maan singh ,birbal , durgavati, todarmal etc...
