I had that exact same boat. Loved to fish out of that thing - it was perfect for me as I fished mostly alone. Easy off, easy on, fished "big" and plenty of storage. Makes me want another bass boat. Great job. BTW, mine had a 90 on it and ran pretty good. I bet yours does really well with a 115. Tight lines!
Keep that thing! I used to have the same boat as TJ81 and sold it to get a 20ft skeeter. Its a great boat dont get me wrong but the aluminums are so much cheaper for gas, maintenance etc. And you can get shallower n catch the same fish. I miss that thing.
Congrats on the new boat. Really sad seeing it in that condition and how some people just don't care but was good for u for sure.. She came put very nice after a good bath and looking good forward of seeing the results and many new awesome memories come out of it :)
Great start, cant wait to see how this turns out! if you find something good that cleans those seats up let me know! ive tried just about everything on my tracker seats and they are still a mess.
I pressure wash the carpet. A little purple power and a pressure washer and your done, seats and all. It won’t hurt the carpet. Unless it’s beyond saving.
Makes me really, really sad when ppl just let these boats go. Possibly good for you but I think I would rather them takin care of. I just picked up a 2005 G3 175 75hp yam. And I love it. Sold my fiberglass and went with aluminum, living in Tx and what and how I fished just seemed logical. Anyways good luck brother I will following along.
@@PhantomFishing been sitting for 12 years, thats why i found your video, trying to figure out where to start trying to clean this mess up. Fisher Hawk V3: needs batteries, carpet, seats, new dash, new wires, trailer needs new tires and guide boards.
Wow what a deal man! Regardless of how crappy it looks and dirty it is you got a good deal! I would have jumped all over that if I ran across that deal. I’ve been wanting me either a Triton/Ranger/War Eagle Aluminum boat! I love my fiberglass Carolina Skiff and wouldn’t trade it for any boat in the world. I have fished for a lot of different kinds of fish out of my Skiff. But I just want a nice aluminum boat along the lines of something like yours to devote just to bass fishing to use for some of the local bass tournaments I fish. My Skiff works fine but each time I use it I have to change it/set up for what I’ll be fishing for being 1 day I may be out crappie fishing out of it then the next day/night I may be out with 4 or 5 buddies having a ball catfishin. Something like what you just got would be ideal for just setting up and leaving it for bass fishing. Sorry about the long comment to who ever reads this lmao. Talking “Boats” is about like talking “Guns/Hunting” it gets me so excited 👍😁
+Rowdy Broomstick I didn’t really spend a whole lot on the cleaner but I read an article from a guy that works at Ranger Boats. He had said to be very careful pressure washing due to the fact that the carpet has plastic in it can actually melt and will sorta shrink or harden and lay down. I think you just have to make sure you don’t get the nozzle too close but I did take it to the car wash for the initial spray down.
I've done it to mine a few times a year but I don't know if it damages it or not. I bought my Cobra Viper in 2015 and it still has the original carpet and is still in excellent shape. I do plan to replace it with bass cat carpet this year and pad the deck but I could probably go a few more year's no problem, but I don't use a steamer pressure washer either, that might mess it up. But who knows I may buy a new boat this year to, I've really outgrown the 18ft Cobra! The 19.6 ft Bass Cat Pantera Classic has a way better deck layout and use of space and only a foot and half bigger than mine, but mines dual console and that stinks
Very nice blessings from Puerto Rico can you tell me what brand por model is the vacum cleaner tour using look very good muy wife would love it and muy car .thanks
David Gardner Not if you buy one that has engine low pressure problems and you have to do whole new piston job..I had to tear down couple engines and it ain’t fun putting it back together. Though it’s a learning process it’s not cheap either
Gghyggty Gyhuyfsa yes you’re right I’ve done that too it took a month to get the block and heads back from the shop. Also learned it’s better to have two boats that way ones always ready.
Bro you should have used a leaf blower before you brought it inside and then vacuum. It would have been a lot quicker for you leaf blowers are awesome for that peace Michael Syracuse New York
I bought an alumacraft Jon boat that was neglected and left outside. Like you a sweet deal but a ton of work needed to be done. I don't understand why people just let boats rot outside
@@PhantomFishing hey no reason to upgrade! If it works for ya than that's good enough! I'm looking at a boat this spring myself it's not new or anything but something to get on the lake with lol
+Harlan Mote you have to very careful with a pressure washer. This carpet has plastic fibers and if you get too close it will essentially melt the fibers. That’s one reason you see a lot of boat carpet really stiff and flat.
Hey mate, I'm only an Aussie but why would you waste your time vacuuming up all that shit inside when you could have just blown it off outside? Not trying to be funny/smart, just asking matey. I'm equating it to lost time, as in the time you could have spent drinking beer mate.

she runs good but i think i should mess with the prop and engine height to get max performance.
This is going to be a great series! can't wait to see how the boat turns out. Looking great so far!

For sure. I am definitely going to put it to work.
Wow! What a difference a little TLC can do!
Congrats on the new boat. Really sad seeing it in that condition and how some people just don't care but was good for u for sure.. She came put very nice after a good bath and looking good forward of seeing the results and many new awesome memories come out of it :)
Thanks.
Dang it will be a job. You can do it man.
Man shes cleaning up nice! Cant wait to see it complete!
hell yeah man! happy for you. look forward to seeing a lot of good video from the boat
Can't wait for the finished clean up
Great start, cant wait to see how this turns out! if you find something good that cleans those seats up let me know! ive tried just about everything on my tracker seats and they are still a mess.
I am narrowing it down
Congrats. Looks like she cleaned up pretty well.

Good looking boat. Nice find.
How much was this
Great job cleaning her up. I have had a lot of Tritons. Love them.

Awesome, that's looking great!
What did you use to clean the carpet
I just can't believe someone would allow this to happen to such a big investment but great clean up job man!
I know. Its sad but good for me. She is sitting in a garage now and pretty happy
Dang. What'd you hit the seats with? Surely not just soapy water.
I have probably bought every cleaner i have seen. I am still trying to get them cleaner. Turtle wax carpet and vinyl and tuff stuff
Can I ask what is the cleaner you were using on the carpet and seats?
Triton magnum = padded hull. Great find! I'm looking for one right now too :(
What's a padded hull
You weren't kidding when you said it was a bit dirty...LOL
Just a bit. Haha
2:48 anyone see him spit on the motor😂
Yep😂
That is the extra clean shine.
Lol thats not a mess, im trying to figure out to approach a boat i just pulled out the woods
+Rev D oh boy! You got a project there. I’m sure it will be well worth it.

Did part 2 ever get uploaded?
Can't wait for more...
Did you take it to the manual car wash?

miss Vmag 176 real bad... awesome boat.. enjoy!
+William Ezell thanks
Sweet deal. How big is the Jon boat in your videos?
Looking much better
Man wow what a cool boat... I got a deal on 1986 glastron ski boat that I'm redoing and it's a challange for my first boat
Cory Brittingham i just picked up a 1982 glassmaster today that I’m gonna restore
@@TheJeepingJack I'm half way done with mine and with working AMD weather going on kinda hard working on it

man I've been waiting on this video ... What an amazing find bud ...
Thanks! Lets cross our fingers on the engine. In the shop getting an overhaul now due to sitting so long
Got a job boat I'm working on myself.. sweet video brother 👊
Thats awesome. I have started a new one that i can get on the smaller lakes now but still have a couple upgrades to do to this one.
looking good
That's a classic case of rode hard and put up wet.
Hey brother, what product did you use on your seats?
I used Tuff Stuff from walmart
Very nice blessings from Puerto Rico can you tell me what brand por model is the vacum cleaner tour using look very good muy wife would love it and muy car .thanks

when is part 2 coming out?
Probably end of the month.
This is super cool! Awesome.
Awesome video. Cant wait for the next one
awesome video, waiting for part 2!!!!!!!
Forgotten toys are the best ones to pickup. Especially if it’s a boat.

I got one now. HAHA
That's a lot of horsepower for a 17'6" boat. I'm sure it flies over the water.
I’m in the market for a fix up boat where did you find yours at?
Just saw it sitting in a driveway for years
Looks like it cleaned up well man, either way you stole it for the price. Can't wait to see it in person.
Soon my friend.
What did you get it for .
+in motion watch part 2. Lol. I bought it for $1500.
This is awesome and really motivating!

Literal spit shine at 2:50 lol

Wow way to disrespect your investment whoever owned that boat. I would hate to see there damn house!!
I wouldn’t consider boats investments
I am stopping by to your house I hope you do the same
