- In this video, I try Brightline’s free shuttle connection from its new Aventura Station to Aventura Mall. This is in place until the pedestrian bridge across Biscayne Boulevard is built. It’s unclear when that will happen.

I know the focus is on Brightline and the Aventura Shuttle, but what surprised me was that Miami-Dade Transit still has some NABIs still in service.

Pretty insane that this shuttle has to exist when the mall is so close to the station. Serious indictment of how shitty it is to be a pedestrian in Florida.
Yeah, pedestrians and bicycles should be prioritized first over trains, this isn’t even the case in europe, so sad.

I didn’t realize there was only 1 active platform until I got on the bridge that takes you to and from the train until I first saw it and realized they’re adding another track which should be up hopefully by the end of this month or early February.
Great video, you should look into promotional videos with them around the time the Orlando station opens

Yup, that pretty takes as much as the whole train ride from Miami to aventura.

The 9 bus route Downtown Miami - Miami Dade Transit can take you there also for 2.25$
There’s also the Aventura Freebee which is from 7 am to 11 pm every day and can go ANYWHERE in aventura

Great review of the video, i have a question how your able to get your Brightline shuttle service working ? Because I tried booking my shuttle service but I'm not able to book my shuttle service on the Brightline app
The shuttle at Aventura station did not need to be booked. I just walked outside and it was waiting there. If it isn’t there, feel free to ask a worker bc it’s probably on its way back from dropping off people at the mall.
As for shuttles at other stations to bring you to your destination (within 5 miles), when you’re buying a ticket there will be the option to add on a ride. Premium riders have a complimentary ride while Smart class has to pay a fee. They just partnered with Uber so that is now the main option.

This year but no specific date yet
@@JoelFrancoVlogs They are aiming for a september/october grand opening, I've heard from multiple people, but no official confirmation from Brightline yet.

That will be a whole world more convenient! Pedestrian bridges over Biscayne Blvd in the area should have been built 50 years ago when some of us Aventura kids were crossing it to go home from Highland Oaks Elementary and Middle School! Now there are more schools and I think most of those kids go to schools on their side of Biscayne Blvd. Still, now traffic is much worse. A bridge over that major strode would benefit more than just Brightline riders.

West Dixie Highway at NE 196th St. Directly west of Aventura Mall bus terminal

Honestly no idea. Seems a long ways away tbh.
Do you know if Brightline plans on adding GPS tracking to their vans? I know the other buses in Miami and from Fort Lauderdale have tracking on their buses so can see them on a map and have appx ETA to the mall.
No idea but that would be a great addition! In-app tracking would be useful
One more thing I just remembered. I’ve actually been able to track my pick up when going to any other station via Premium (Tesla pickup). So they have that integrated already - hopefully this comes to Aventura. I don’t see why not.

FYI the shuttle is no longer taken at the bus station. It moved by SERAFINA RESTAURANT!
Be aware of that. It cost me a taxi to the station. 🙄

It’s not expected but you can if you want (and if they’re allowed to accept)

But what time does the shuttle start in the am from aventura mall to go to aventura Brightline ? I can not find any info as I’m interested in tbe first train in tbe am departing at 9:04 am it’s important
