Finally! I was just on the phone with my mother the other day letting her know the good news. We've lived here in the nearby community of Ives for more than 20 years, before they built the flyover Biscayne and before the new wing (where the AMC is) at Aventura was ever built. This station opening is the biggest advancement this neighborhood has ever seen and we are extremely grateful now that we have this avenue to both North and South. Finally we as a family can go to Orlando with as little hassle as we would go to the grocery store. Will give it about 6 months once service starts to Orlando that we would really start to see the schedule give this transit advantage be utilized massive leverage against everything else that people are currently stuck in traffic with. It's been a loooong time coming, hopefully we will see a BRT connection between the station and the once Joe Robbie (I still call it that sometimes lol) now Hard Rock stadium about 10 miles west in Norland for the concerts 🙏🏾 Thank you so much for posting this and a very happy holidays to you and yours!
After seeing the November update, I thought there was no chance of these stations being completed by the end of the year... but I was wrong. Amazing progress!
I appreciate the background music on this one. It reminds me of my college days in Miami. Those...were a bit longer ago than I should be publicly admitting.
Well thank you for a very nice "extra special" Christmas present. And Merry Christmas to you for all of your previous "presents", this series of Brightline reports over the course of the project.
I just want to thank you so much for all of this. I remember from the beginning that these sites looked nowhere near being completed, and now, after much waiting, they are finally done. Thank you very much for the updates you provided for these two stations, and I'm looking forward to Orlando soon!
That's great and thank you for explaining why only one side of the platform was operational for Aventura. Keep up the great work. Next stop orlando. Also as of posting is Aventura officially open now or is it still delayed
*"State of the Art"* system but still exceedingly modest. Great news for Uber, Lyft, Turo, Tesla but of course especially so residents of the entire State of Florida particularly South and Central Florida of both coasts.
Fantastic! What are those fenced walkways on the ends of Aventura station? They look rather too well-built just to be track access for maintenance crews
Thanks for the video. One thing has been bugging me. Why do the Brightline trains, never planned to be more than 10 cars, need two locomotives? Even at 79mph one locomotive has got to be more than enough power for such a light load.
Never seen a baggage scanner at a train station before - is there a reason why they are used for just internal travel? Only station in UK that does have them is St. Pancras International for the Eurostar to the continent.
What is that ringing/bell coming from the VIP train when it departs the boca station? Sounds like a crossing, and would be pretty annoyed by hearing it all the time, as well as the extensive horn use all the time, have never heard this fromv any other train before?
@@RoamingRailfan in the US only or worldwide? Just never heard anything like it from a train before, why it’s so weird to me. Especially not here in Denmark where i live, cause of the low number of crossings we have, and the low speed where we do have crossings.
Just 4, the track closest to the platform on the west will be shifted over to the platform. It was the former mainline that was shifted out of the way for the platform construction so it just needs to be moved over and have turnouts installed on either end. Its not connected to anything currently.
As an FL native I am in absolute shock seeing a train station somewhere ppl actually go instead of the middle of a giant county parking lot.
I commend you for your dedication to detailing Brightline’s construction.

Same . I thought Boca was supposed to be finished next year

Truth be told, They built those up fast. Great job guys

Thank you for this Christmas present Railfan! Merry Christmas!!
Thank you for the video . Good to see Brightline is doing so well
Awesome & thank you....
Happy Holidays to ALL...
Cool. Merry Christmas. Keep the updates coming. Looking forward to taking the video ride to Orlando International with you.
Thanks, those stations look great. 👍👍
Thanks for the updates! Great drone views!
WOW! These Stations are BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for yet another well done documentation! Austin your work is SUPERIOR!❤
Those stations look so fantastic. Thank you for the great video as always! ❤
well done ! great clips, very happy as a long time fan with knowing this was coming
Merry Christmas!

Great content!
Merry Christmas
Solar panels... Love it !
Congrats. Keep it up✊
Pretty soon FEC will start running all their freight trains again. Can't wait to see this finally done!
FEC never stopped running any of their trains…
@@RoamingRailfan oh shoot I thought they stopped mst of them. It's too early in the morning for this im tired lol. Sry 🤣
Wow that was fast
The Avengers Endgame of Brightline construction updates.
Fantastic!
What are those fenced walkways on the ends of Aventura station? They look rather too well-built just to be track access for maintenance crews
They are Emergency exits for the platforms in case there is a problem with the tower and people need to be evacuated.
Will the road in front of the Aventura station be open soon? It looks like the road is still fenced off from public access.
I believe it has been reopened
Great video as usual. Do they have a timeline for the aventura pedestrian bridge that will connect to the mall?
I haven’t seen any info
15:05 looks like about 20+ cars stuck in the turn lane while a train carrying more people moving along freely. what a shot
Now that these stations are open they can get the line to Orlando finished this coming year.
I believe that other states will follow this example of new and faster passenger development to usher in modern alternate travel. It is long overdue.
Thanks for the video. One thing has been bugging me. Why do the Brightline trains, never planned to be more than 10 cars, need two locomotives? Even at 79mph one locomotive has got to be more than enough power for such a light load.
To put it simply, redundancy.
@@RoamingRailfan that makes perfect sense.
@@lauraandedwardcannon8861 It’s also better to have one locomotive bringing motive power while the other simply provides the HEP.
Never seen a baggage scanner at a train station before - is there a reason why they are used for just internal travel? Only station in UK that does have them is St. Pancras International for the Eurostar to the continent.
Peace of mind in the world we live in today.
Many HSR stations in Spain have them.
9:49 which commuter service is that?
Still to be determined

That's the locomotive's bell
@@RoamingRailfan But why does it have that? Have only ever heard train horns before.
All locomotives are required to have them as a secondary type of audible warning that the train is moving in addition to the horn.
@@RoamingRailfan in the US only or worldwide? Just never heard anything like it from a train before, why it’s so weird to me. Especially not here in Denmark where i live, cause of the low number of crossings we have, and the low speed where we do have crossings.
I know it is in the US, so not sure about the rest of the world. I’d hope more countries require it.
So ultimately there will be 5 rail lines. 3 on the west side and 2 on the east.
