I made this compilation in hopes of making it easier for people to find all of these stories. Please feel free to share a link to this video with anyone you think might enjoy it. You should get to know Steve. poltz.com/
Steve Polz is one of my favorite people you interview. Stories he tells is the funniest. The john prine story had me rolling on the floor. My wife and I have a fantasy dinner where all our favorite people come and have supper for a great evening full of interesting conversations. Steve would be my pick. Thanks for the great videos!
Since the Prine kidnapping plot story I treasure every word from this man, he is so damn entertaining. Please, someone make a bio film on him, it would become a huge word of mouth hit. Thanks, Otis. Love ya, Steve.
Right? I feel like the cheerleader in the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont.... Except I wouldn't lecture an audience, I just stay enthused and listen out for more stories. So impressive... I keep saying "wow!"
What a great storyteller. Writing songs with Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings. The story about the Blindboys of Alabama is hilarious and that John Prine story is as good as a story gets. New fan here! Thanks for sharing him with us.
I have to admit, I wasn't at all familiar with Steve or his music before Otis published this. THANK YOU for, possibly one of the most entertaining, amazing interviews ever, I am in tears laughing about the Prine story, It's INSANE. I'm now a full-fledged fan!

Somehow I missed how funny madd and real steve is first time through. His story about doing exactly what he wants to do and the leap of faith living and unexpected benfits of taking the ride. Outstanding Otis. Thanks for all these interviews.✌️
I didn’t realize Steve wrote and sang “Everything About You.” One of my favorite songs that I first heard in the movie Notting Hill. I’m blown away by this man’s chops.
I grew up in L.A just a few doors down the street from Larry and Norman Fischer. They were a couple of years older than me, and NOBODY would go near their house.

I can honestly say I had never watched the video of You Were Meant For Me until today and I'm pretty sure that Steve still has that shirt
Doesn’t get better than Steve! He’s coming to the Annapolis songwriters fest and I’m looking forward to seeing him, it’s been a while.
Gregory Page recently directed a film about Jack Tempchin that is marvelous.
So is Steve.
This really made me laugh!
Room reminds me of the scene in Blaze with Sexton as Townes

Mary go Mary go Mary Go round.
This is the opposite of a one hit wonder being “interviewed” for 3 minutes on GMA
oh there are most definitely still gatekeepers in the music business buddy, but yeah it's the gatekeepers in your mind that are the most dangerous
I resemble that remark!!!
I've never wanted to be friends with someone more in my life.
