Nice weekie, congrats! There was a time not too long ago when you could catch them at will on the dropping tide in the Mullica, Graveling Point, sections of Great Bay and Grassy Channel. Marker 144 used to be a hot spot. I remember them frenzied like bluefish, under birds out in front of Great Bay Marina to eight pounds. I caught my PB near 139 at 10 pounds one ounce. Action like this was common in the bay up until about 2003. I’ve been told these fish naturally cycle in numbers and to expect a comeback in upcoming years. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos and your passion for the sport. Thank you, Bill
Nice weakie dude! Right around the time you were born they were abundant and tiderunners were 30" class fish. Hopefully they make a comeback. Usually where theres 1 theres a bunch. If u intend on targeting them try a 4" jerk shad style bait like a fin-s 1/2oz jighead smothered in shedder crab oil. Work mid to low water column. Good luck and nice whip!
Hey, I have fished at this jetty before and hooked into two blues. I also hooked into some sting rays. Have you ever had a problem with stingrays when fishing for blues and fluke?
Gonna be putting miles in that thing!!! Hell yeah

Thanks for watching! Was so shocked to catch this one and my surprise was definitely apparent!
Nice what a nice looking fish
That’s really not a huge weakfish, but as you pointed out they’re hard to come by at any size these days. Much respect for the release!
