    I'm American but my brother in law is Dutch. He introduced me to marzipan (and salty licorice!). I dont understand why either of these wonderful treats aren't more popular in the U.S.🤷🏼‍♀️
    I'm going to try your Stollen recipe!

    Hey man, I love your videos and this one is a must now that Christmas time is rolling around 🎅! I was wondering if this could be made with a sourdough starter rather than fruit yeast water poolish? You’ve recently gotten me into sourdough and now there’s no way back, and if it’s not possible, I have no problem with making some fruit yeast water. Thanks!

      You can absolutely use a sourdough starter for this recipe! You might need to adjust the hydration for optimal dough development and it might takes just little longer to proof 🥂appreciate your kind words 🙏

      For this bread you can substitute the poolish with 4 to 5G yeast ✌🏼
      And to make fruit yeast water check this one

    Thankyou for the recipe. I’m going to re-bake this a.s.a.p. But I can’t find marzipan in my city. Can I replace it with cheese?

    • @littlemoresalt
      @littlemoresalt  10 дней назад +1

      You are welcome never tried cheese actually but you can just skip it there are stollen without marzipan ( mostly known as almond paste ) you can also make your own it’s just almond paste with sugar ✌🏼
