Dresdner Stollen Girl Explains How to Make Stollen

The people of Dresden usually hold a large festival to celebrate their Christstollen in the run-up to Christmas. This is presented every year by the Stollen Girl, who is selected from a group of apprentices gathered from 110 Stollen bakeries.
Despite the fact that she can't attend many public events this year because of the pandemic, the honorary title will be taken over by 17-year-old Lisa Zink in 2021.
She is fully committed, even though the traditional "Striezelmarkt" (Christmas market) has been cancelled, which included the Stollen Festival. But there's one thing she can do without doubt: bake an original "Dresdner Christstollen".

I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 I tried stollen for the first time last year and I loved it straight away! Also tried an apple variety and loved that as well. Had some this year and will buy some more when I go to the shop later 😋 So glad I tried it 😁

I love stollen! i usually have this over cakes or cookies for Christmas depite not being of German descent 😂 The marzipan is the best part btw 😘

Unfortunately, I cannot eat Stollen. It tastes so great though, but raisins kept causing such terrible and painful heartburn, so I decided to rather appreciate others enjoying it! And yes, this is indeed a German christmas tradition!!!!!

@@DWFood Yes: Lebkuchenherzen with marmelade/jam filling! Visit your local Aldi, Lidl, Edeka, or Rewe store: they're throwing out any so yum Xmas items with a 75% discount. Get out and get it!!!!!!
