    Beef tongue is the Best my Nana used to make the same thing she's Italian and I tell you the tongue has the best flavor and is like the tenderest steak packed with beef flavor you have got to try it's Amazing!

    Thank you Sir for this recipe! My Grandparents used to make this and I was a picky eater and afraid of it. I am 55 years old now and an accomplished cook myself. I will be trying this very soon, Thank you again for your efforts.

    I saved a tongue from an old cow we butchered today. I’ve never had tongue before but I knew I had to boil the tongue for 3 hours to cook it and had allot going on so I boiled it before I watched this and seen all the other veggies you boil it with. Had my man grab everything from the store for the sauce, had to use dry parsley because the store didn’t have fresh, and used dry crushed red peppers and the sauce in this recipe turned out delicious!!! This was a great first experience for my family trying tongue. Thank you for sharing this video

      Find your nearest Mexican taco join and try tongue tacos they’re delicious!!! If you don’t know where to go ask a few Mexicans where they go for tacos and be ready to take your taste buds for a ride to the moon !

    PAKO just got some tongue from my local butcher, basically gave it to me…couldn't believe that a guy my age would love the tongue. When your born in europe you know the good stuff. Thanks going to try your recipe . Johnny

    Wonderful...no sarcasm Lots of parsley, plenty of garlic yes indeed! that tongue is huge!
    Mexican & Italian expressions alike opened this up to me I would like to try the way Zita Rasid spoke of with raisins & cinnamon. That sounds good to me since I already do pork chops/roasts & chicken this way. a thought I would share is to add apple butter & some sort of fortified wine as it would have even more flavor than just applesauce & I know sauerkraut would be good together to finish in Schlemmertopf! (maybe some citrus slices too)
    But no matter what expression tongue is most definitely tasty good eats for sure!!!
    Funny so many don't speak of it but it is eaten all over! Should I say stick out your tongue & say AHHHH!?

    My mom used to make the best tongue sandwiches ever, because of her I learned not to be afraid of food and truly enjoy all the amazing types of foods that most people shy from (they really dont know what they are missing)
    Cow tongue would have to be my favorite part of the cow to eat :)

      The Awesome Man I recently suddenly had the flavour of the tongue sandwiches my mom used to make for us boys. I had to go out and try to find lambs tongues. Impossible! In a meat market I eventually was given one. My friend runs a deer station so he gave me all the venison tongues. Absolutely fantastic. just how I remembered them. I gave some to my friend who farms pigs and cows yet had never tried tongue. He loved it. But as many people that have tongue recipes on RUclips state: It's a hard sell. No problem, more for me!

    Chef Pasquale. It looks great. I live in Tampa, Fl. I moved here from New York City over 20 years ago. There are not many Italians here. It is hard to get quality Italian ingredients. I know I'll never find tongue. I'm hoping to see your pasta e fagiole and lentil soup. I cook them now, but I'm looking for better recipes then the ones my mother makes.

    Altho my mexican grandma never made a side like that. I love lengua enough to say i honestly would like to try how you made it. It does look damn good i have to say. I find it very interesting how other parts of the world cook with tongue.

    I just cooked my first tongue and found it to be a little fatty where the thick part started. Is this normal? I found it to be a little like baked liver in texture but flavor was all roast beef. Will use your way again. My english neighbor says "Wonderful, just like when she was a child in post war"

    Like my dad used to say, you don`t know what your missing. There was a diner near us that had tongue on the menu. I always ordered it. Always with the bumps. On rye bread with hot mustard.

    UPDATE!!! dry age it for 30 days THEN cook sous vide 170F for 24hrs... MIND BLOWING!!!

      The gentleman is Italian, his name is Pasquale Sciarappa and he is from the region of Puglia in southern Italy. His channel is called Orsara, I am assuming it's named after the town he is from in that region called Orsara di Puglia - a city and comune in the province of Foggia, Apulia, southern Italy. By the way, I think he is adorable and a great cook! ;)

    It's just a big muscle...right? It didn't look well cooked to me. (?) Was it chewy? Please describe what it tastes like and its texture for us. I will try it in my Instant pot, maybe pressure cook it for 1 hr. along with all those aromatics. Then take it out and shred it for tacos.

    Tongue really went up in price from years gone by when you bought a beef tongue for maybe a buck now I dont even see it in supermarkets. Havent been to just a meat market for awhile but last time I did buy a tongue a few years ago was over 10 bucks and i think that a half was aroung 8...maybe wrong but i know it isnt cheap..Used to pickle it..very tasty if cooked right
