He doesn't work as hard on being a supermodel, that much is true.
But it's hardly a secret that a big portion of the fitness CR7 does isn't centered on football at all. Messi has steamrolled defenders throughout his career like no one else, because he focuses on football.
I don't mind CR7 wanting to look good and promoting his underwear etc, fine. But let's not confuse that with what kind of training actually aids your football performance.

Lactic acid being the reason for muscle soreness is proven wrong...
micro muscle fibers tearing is the reason for muscle soreness and therefore only sleep and good food help to rebuild the muscle which will then be in return a bigger stronger and more dense muscle --> increased performance...
what stretching really is for is keep muscle fibers as long as possible and relief the tendons. if you practice a lott your muscles will shorten and also in this way put permanent force onto your tendons.
this results in stuff like tennis elbow or hip and knee pain...
usually people think "oh my knee is damaged" but 99% of the time its muscles like the calves or hamstrings being shortend and putting constant strain onto your ttendons which results in pain at the areas where the tendons end (your joints)
    TL;DR
always stretch and massage your muscle ... if they hurt when you put pressure with your fingers they need stretching and massaging until they dontt hurt anymore... muscle fibers MUST be SOFT ... if its hard all the ttime you are or will be in alot of pain

@@eatsleepbreathefootball7257 as long as your knee pain is caused by stress on tendons through short muscles than you should try and stretch after training. My own knee pain i had got away after a few months of constant stretching after Training while your muscles are still warm.
Also i use a Black roll to roll out the leg muscles that do alot of work.
For my knee pain i did Hit 2 specific areas. The muscle next to my shin bone (leg i mean). I used my thumb to push into the pain. It relaxed the muscle effectively and helped the Most for my pain.
Second muscle i Hit with the black roll is the outside of my upper leg muscle. That really hurt But i do alot of squatting so this area was quite tense too.
Remember when your muscles are free of pain through pressure than it might take a few months for the tendons to heal as that takes way longer.
Also what muscle to hit depends on the Training you Do.
I do Kendo. If you do football its probably a bit different. Try hitting calves too.
Its constant maintenance But it will help alot.

@@mohamedorayith4626 you can find sources on RUclips or speak to a sport physiologist they should know that too.
It took me some time and effort to learn about this and i learned Most of it from my own body too.
So if you have problems than do this and learn from your body.
And remember tendons heal slowly. Muscle fast.
There is no easy fast short cut. But effective ways like this to treat your body the way you should as an athlete.

It is interesting, because i think Ronaldo had an big edge at some point where he realized faster than Messi about eating healthy and other methods in improving his body. But at the same time it seems he(ronaldo) didnt improved/ found other roles in the game to develop his game further once his body lost some of its youth and speed. While Messi went more for a playmaker style like xavi and iniesta, things he could do early but were not his prime core. He went from the fast unbreakable force super dribbler and goalscorer to a more all round force giving more assists and marking the pace of the game, while still scoring massively to a player that is there to break the lines, inspire the team, taking care of the big moments like penalties, influencing the referee taking care of the media game and psychological battle and stepping up as a leader, while still having the creativity and some rest parts of the tight control and dribble of his youth with his phenomenal accuracy out of the box. Though he lost some power of the early 30s behind his shot and finishing.
While Ronaldo evolved from a Fast pace glamour shooter to the best finisher of all times. Specially shining bright in Real madrid when he had speed, power, super strong shooting technique, and the best positioning in the game. Both profited massively from their teammates.
Both guys have a giant ego, the problem is that no matter how many goals Ronaldo made. Messi just has that magic in his play, further Messi had the advantage of growing up at one Club. Which made him not only a icon at that club, but people of that club and himself felt more attached. They literally saw him growing up there, it was his temple/ Arena and Messi also connected with Barcelona. Ronaldo and Real Madrid didnt connected that way, he went from club to club, it was not family. Like Messi and Barca. After Real were Ronaldo shined brighest, he left again a club, all attachments were broken. Even though they both represented their clubs and their rivalry. Messi vs Ronaldo. Barca vs Real Madrid. Spain vs Catalunya. Europe vs Latinoamerica*both tha world footbal giants). Magic vs Result orientated Football. etc.
Both have similarities tax fraud, big egos, money eater of their club etc.
Even than Ronaldo has represented more the egoistic aspects and Messi the humble teamplayer. Even though this isnt true Ronaldo just has talent to make it all about himself and upset the media. While Messi even though he also has the same giant ego as Ronaldo doesnt upset them as much because he was more shy and more silent. People love both guys and it is hard to see Ronaldo getting so much shit from the media. But he is also to blame himself, you cant fight the whole world and expect to win forever, at some point you just cant anymore and the vultures come to get revenge and pick up the leftovers.

@@majormononoke8958 tbh thats it's possible the most objective and accurate descriptions of each other personalities (what we see and speculation too ofc) and how that impacted their respectivo careers, i would add that Messi while has been less crotiziced by media ora fans, he has suffers a fair ammount of bs by them, specially this year prior to the wc, Even durang the event some players, and Even dt like van gaal talked trash about him and Argentina, he was crotiziced most of his career for his "lack of leadership" as people Saw him as this shy guy that lives in his own world, the said he didn't showed the passion or grito other players like Ronaldo showed (Even in argentina they phraised Ronaldo personality and how he always loved to shut down haters) something that they wanted to see in Messi, but i totally agree with Ronaldo in recent years, it was inevitable with the track of conflicts he collected since young age on his career that a Bad season would emerge all the critics, bit sadly.for him, it happened just in The same year his biggest rival won the world cup being the Best player, and mantaining high level on Psg unlike Ronaldo in Manchester, and all the drama behind that, he out himself at the front, talking trash about the club and saving face (that was awful timed, he was barely playing and wasnt scoring to anyone) and that tainted him more, The fact that he accepted his recent signing put him in a worse place, cause again, while Messi was celebrating with his country the world cup, Cristiano was accepting a billionaire offer at the cost of dissapearing of the elite football
