I actually discovered Qubo last year when it replaced some channel called The Action Channel back in 2020. That channel introduced me to Class of the Titans, which is now my favorite show. While I didn’t really bother with the rest of the stuff on Qubo (other than Inspector Gadget and Rescue Heroes in some degree,) I'm bummed that this channel is going under now.
:( I was one of the kids that only had pbs kids, qubo, and whatever was at the library/whatever we could find at garage sales or get from family members. I’ll miss you, Qubo.
I miss watching qubo on cable TV. My favorite shows on the network were My Friend Rabbit, Willa’s Wild Life, Rescue Heroes, Turbo Dogs and Denver the Last Dinosaur (when it aired several years back). I remember watching qubo as a Saturday morning block around 2008.
The other classic animated show from the 80’s was “Inspector Gadget” which was on Qubo. I remember when “Inspector Gadget” was on the then WNEW-TV (channel 5) back in the 1980’s and “Denver The Last Dinosaur” was first shown on WWOR-TV (channel 9) in the 1990’s and later on Qubo during the late 2000’s and 2010’s. Those were the two classic cartoons that were shown on Qubo. And now, all of the shows that were on Qubo are now on RUclips.
RIP Qubo on iON, NBC and Telemundo Thank you for 15 great years 9.9.2006-2.28.2021 Let's get an F chain going in the replies to give respect to this legendary kids network
I remember watching this on cable years ago until like 2017, where it dissapeared from and was no longer a channel. Although I had options I, more often than not, watched Qubo. In late 2019 I happened to see it again but this time on the ION tv channel I didn't know until recently that this happened. R.I.P Qubo, you will be missed
Well, that’s the end of Qubo (2006-2021). Sure, PBS Kids is still successful even today. But Qubo had served us pretty well, in a safe environment and has entertained us when we’re in a really tough time. We like to salute the team of non-cable networks and we salute Qubo for being there. The good news, I can still watch reruns of Inspector Gadget, Masters Of The Universe, Sally Bollywood, Babar, Marvin The Tap-Dancing Horse, Rupert, Grossology, The adventures of Paddington Bear, Classic Bob The Builder, Maggie and The Ferocious Beast, Rescue Heroes, Franklin, and Doki Adventures on sources like RUclips and on Tubi. Since episodes of these cartoons have popped up on RUclips. But despite all that, we’d like to thank Qubo for all the good memories. All good things must come to an end as they all say. In words of Dr. Seuss: “Don’t cry because it’s over, Smile because it happened.” Farewell, Qubo. You will be missed.
Also forgot to mention other great shows like the Magic School Bus, Stickin Around, My Friend Rabbit, Look Cool, Postman Pat, ToddWorld, Jane and The Dragon, The DaVincables, and Secret Millionares Club.
I’ll miss Qubo very much I even remember watching turbo dogs, Doki, Artzooka, Thomas Edison’s secret lab, Monkey See, Monkey do and Stickin Around on this block. By the way everyone is done with cable because of switching to streaming services and premium networks (not from cable) such as Netflix, Hulu and so much more
At least for TBN, it's sorta surviving on PlutoTV. Honestly, I only know of TBN for two reasons: 1. The new Veggietales reboot; and 2. One of the musicians I liked appeared on the network a few times. I never grew up with Christian TV, only cartoon channels.
I Found Out about your Qubo Vid In May 2020, I Started to like your content, anyways, i am gonna miss qubo, so i made a funeral for it on February 28 @ 6:30pm
Qubo was a big part of my childhood growing up because I didn't have cable and it was amazing and I enjoyed it everyday now it's gone and replaced by grit TV
God damn I kept going to my Qubo channel seeing Grit and thinking, "What the hell?" I kept thinking it was temporary and finally got curious enough to look up if it was discontinued. And sadly it is. I was watching Qubo ever since 2006. This is sad but I'm kinda glad. I did not like the shows that were on it as of late and only watched it when the old cartoons were on like Jane & the Dragon, Rubert, Babar, Jacob Two Two, and the like. God I loved those shows especially Jacob Two Two and Jane and the Dragon. I kinda hope that Jane and the Dragon will get a remake but with a more serious tone. Like have a real plot and character development that sticks past a single episode. I always liked Gunther since he was the most complicated character. Sometimes he was a little shit other times he showed real honor and courage. My two favorite Gunther scenes was when he "tripped" over his rag and ruined all his own work to let Jane win a contest they were having because he saw his father sabotage Jane's progress. But the best scene was when he and Jane were scaling a mountain to get a plant to heal Dragon and he finally vented a lot of his frustrations with Jane. To me at least it sounded like his main problem is that he doesn't want to compete with Jane but since she's always aiming to be the best he knows he'll be compared to her and as such has to put in more effort in his knight's training. Now normally this would make him sound lazy but I also remember he has to do work for his father who is a greedy merchant. Gunther has to follow his father's orders and as such between his father's endless chores and squire duties he's probably exhausted most of the time. Or maybe I'm overthinking his character but he's always on the line between an asshole and a somewhat decent person.
Even when my family got cable at one point, me and my siblings kept going back to Qubo and PBS since we found most of the shows on CN and Disney Channel lame (except Nicktoons). Eventually our parents cancelled the cable subscription because we barely even used the cable channels.
It is undeniable that Qubo changed our lives and what we are now. I’m not saying because Covid occurred, but this channel has entertained us when we’re having a hard time.
When I walked inside a Burger King, we sat down at a table since the playplace was closed. Next to us was a TV playing Grit. I immediately asked my mom if we could move after I saw what they were playing.
I never watched qubo growing up because it wasn't around ( atleast for me) whenever i went to my grandparents house. I only know about it because i remember watching it on tv oneday when i was at the dentist. i will say it is sad that another kids network is being taken down. soon everything will be on streaming platforms and that honestly kinda sucks. by the way your channel is awesome, keep up the good work! 🙂
In my early childhood, I had Dish. Then beginning in 2009, we got Comcast (and later Xfinity) cable. After that, beginning in 2014, we got Directv. Then we switched back to cable. Now we have Firestick and I think we still have Pluto TV.
I never really watched qubo I have only seen it once or twice on tv when I had to go get a check up at the doctor but it is still sad to see it go we will all miss you qubo R.I.P
Also, ION Plus is still on, even after it’s end date. It still shows programming, literally after it’s end date. And BTW, it was not replaced by something (Samsung TV Plus, where I watch it, may use the national feed of the channel). That means that ION Plus is not dead (yet, as far I know). Also, Samsung TV Plus removed Qubo in February 24th, but still kept ION Plus.
Scripps bought Ion Media just for the Ion Television network & for the Over-The-Air TV stations that they owned. They did have to sell the Ion TV stations that are in areas, that Scripps already owned two OTA TV stations, to a company called INYO Broadcast Holdings. Ion Media owned 71 OTA TV stations & Scripps had to sell off, at least, 24, of those, OTA TV stations to INYO Broadcast Holdings.
@@medora2499 You should do a video about Court TV (mentioned at 2:13) as there has actually been two two iterations of that network in the age of television. 1st Iteration - The first iteration existed as a cable channel between 1991 and 2007. That iteration was owned by Turner Broadcasting System was rebranded as TruTV in 2007. 2nd Iteration - The second iteration has existed since 2019. In December 2018, Turner sold the rights to the Court TV brand and programming library to Scripps Media subsidiary Katz Broadcasting, which relaunched it as an over-the-air digital network in May 2019, reviving the dormant brand after 11 years. Now, Court TV and TruTV coexist with each other.
From what I also understand is that Scripps is trying to make room on their own TV stations that they already owned for the new ATSC 3.0 standard. Moving diginets like Bounce, Court TV, Court TV Mystery, Grit & Laff to the Ion TV stations will allow them to do this.
I can't say that I'm suprised to be honest. In a world where the internet has taken over basically any form of entertainment I knew that Qubo would die eventually. It's still is very sad, Qubo and PBS Kids where my go-to channels when my family had nothing after moving to Texas. The good ol' days. What I'd do to relive them.
Noooooo qubo shutdown yesterday all I knew what happened was a show was airing and I did not know what is was cald but then it just went pitch black with the qubo logo just standing in the corner R.I.P qubo.
This is the reason why I just hated E.W. Scripps, because of their idiotic decision making. They booted out Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy! off of one of their channels because of some, "Low-Cost Programming," then they tried to make it better by putting some game show we don't really know of, but it still bombs. Screw this corporate slimy company, I'm working for Sinclair. (The only 2 Scripps-owned channels to have the 2 Game Shows were KSBY-TV NBC 6 in San Luis Obispo & KGUN-TV ABC 9 in Tucson)

I saw the shutdown video. Apparently, viewers had 4 1/2 minutes to call a number and give money. Of course, they failed and Scripts BLAMED the viewers, including with a "Thanks for Nothing" screen. *DISRESPECTFUL! DISRESPECTFUL, I SAY!* Now, even though I shouldn't reveal my age, I think it's important here. As of now, I started watching Qubo when I was either 3 or 4. At this time of writing this comment, I am 11.
Bruh are u kidding me qubo was my childhood i hate the reality i wish i lived in the 2000s when it was a better place crazy that qubo didn't change at all like other channels its the same thing like commercials and shows its the same stuff from the 2000s and its like u still watching the old qubo in the modern day and still feel the nostalgia back in the 2000s
I literally got this channel in August 2020 and they’re seriously doing this. I’m sad to see this channel go. I used to watch the ION block when I first discovered it in 2014.
Back on 09-21-24, I did another Qubo fan picture. I included characters from shows that were aired on Qubo, until the day they ceased operations on February 28th 2021. Those particular characters were Inspector Gadget, Todd (ToddWorld) Madeline, Dinko from Pet Alien, Babar The Elephant, Doki, Mundi, and Stella (ToddWorld). Nine to pretty nice editing job of the images of the characters. You can those characters were holding a eulogy for this defunct children’s TV brand. I made this fan art to pay homage to this nostalgic block for serving us well at childhood. In words of Dr. Seuss: Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

so some of you might not remember these titles-I’m an old trooper and have been around since the conception of this channel lmao I’m only 21 haha
They even aired old old shows like:
He-man (stopped 2013)
She-ra (stopped 2013)
Archies weird mysteries (2018)
Magic school bus! (10-2012) (2020-21)
RIP QUBO, my childhood forever, and will never ever be forgotten
I actually discovered Qubo last year when it replaced some channel called The Action Channel back in 2020. That channel introduced me to Class of the Titans, which is now my favorite show. While I didn’t really bother with the rest of the stuff on Qubo (other than Inspector Gadget and Rescue Heroes in some degree,) I'm bummed that this channel is going under now.
:( I was one of the kids that only had pbs kids, qubo, and whatever was at the library/whatever we could find at garage sales or get from family members. I’ll miss you, Qubo.
qubo was my childhood and I would never see this coming.
Rip qubo
Damn, I remember each of these shows during and before Elementary but now I'm in High School. My childhood is just fading away, has been since 2015.
RIP Qubo on iON, NBC and Telemundo
Thank you for 15 great years
9.9.2006-2.28.2021
Let's get an F chain going in the replies to give respect to this legendary kids network
Actually that was only 14 years

It was a pleasure being a part of this you will be miss
I remember watching this on cable years ago until like 2017, where it dissapeared from and was no longer a channel. Although I had options I, more often than not, watched Qubo. In late 2019 I happened to see it again but this time on the ION tv channel I didn't know until recently that this happened. R.I.P Qubo, you will be missed
Damn Qubo was my childhood and now seeing that it's gone makes me sad because that's what grew on up
Well, that’s the end of Qubo (2006-2021).
Seuss: “Don’t cry because it’s over, Smile because it happened.”
Farewell, Qubo. You will be missed.
Also forgot to mention other great shows like the Magic School Bus, Stickin Around, My Friend Rabbit, Look Cool, Postman Pat, ToddWorld, Jane and The Dragon, The DaVincables, and Secret Millionares Club.
Sorry if I misspelled the name of these shows.
Those ones were also aired on the now defunct Qubo.
Sorry if I spelled “The DaVincibles” wrong.
I feel bad for those kids who won’t be able to watch Qubo anymore 😔😔😔
I’ll miss Qubo very much I even remember watching turbo dogs, Doki, Artzooka, Thomas Edison’s secret lab, Monkey See, Monkey do and Stickin Around on this block. By the way everyone is done with cable because of switching to streaming services and premium networks (not from cable) such as Netflix, Hulu and so much more
Well i remember watching Doki on Discovery Family on OSN because i qm an arab
@@abandonedchannel1010 but not Discovery Kids USA
rest in peace, qubo. i remember staying up on school nights just to catch when nutri ventures was airing.
Aww :( this makes me so sad!! Rip you will be missed thank you for all the historical and wholesome moments
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QUBO WAS THE ONLY THING I COULD WATCH THAT HAD KIDS CONTENT ON MY GRANDMOTHERS LIVING ROOM TV SINCE 2017

This is sad😭😭😭😭😭😭
Update from back in March of this year, ION plus has been brought back onto the air.
this makes me feel so old damn 15 years why am i crying 😭 my child hood was shaped around this
2006 - 2019 Qubo sails all over the world
2019 - 2021
Qubo gets 1st stage cancer and dies 2 years into fighting it.
The last part doesn't make sense, as those who have cancer usually die around stages 3 to 5.
Saturday morning cartoons have finally died through their legacy, not counting TBN.
At least for TBN, it's sorta surviving on PlutoTV. Honestly, I only know of TBN for two reasons: 1. The new Veggietales reboot; and 2. One of the musicians I liked appeared on the network a few times. I never grew up with Christian TV, only cartoon channels.
what about metv
@@editsofitaly6193 STFU NO
@@editsofitaly6193 Yeah they just came into the Saturday Morning Cartoons market.
@Dusk Raccoon get and remember to get your kids to watch that stuff, or people will go broke.
RIP Qubo. We will miss you. You're were pretty well.
Imagine an alternate world where Qubo wasn’t underrated but a popular and iconic channel
And in that world Nick Jr. would be obscure and shut down
God damn I kept going to my Qubo channel seeing Grit and thinking, "What the hell?" I kept thinking it was temporary and finally got curious enough to look up if it was discontinued.
Who else watched qubo before 2011
Even when my family got cable at one point, me and my siblings kept going back to Qubo and PBS since we found most of the shows on CN and Disney Channel lame (except Nicktoons). Eventually our parents cancelled the cable subscription because we barely even used the cable channels.
Rest In Peace, Qubo.
You will Always be in our hearts forever. ❤
I immediately asked my mom if we could move after I saw what they were playing.
rest in piece qubo from 2006-2021.
Adios Cowboy thank you for creating our childhoods :(
In my early childhood, I had Dish.
Then beginning in 2009, we got Comcast (and later Xfinity) cable.
After that, beginning in 2014, we got Directv.
Then we switched back to cable.
Now we have Firestick and I think we still have Pluto TV.
in 2026 is the 20th anniversary of Qubo
I'm gonna miss it because I had. No internet. I only saw quobo will be remembered
I never really watched qubo I have only seen it once or twice on tv when I had to go get a check up at the doctor but it is still sad to see it go we will all miss you qubo R.I.P
Nothing like a brand new video at midnight.
If you grew up without cable, you had these 3 kids networks growing up
Qubo
PBS Kids
Smile of a Child
15 years of entertainment
I’ll miss it 😢
Also, ION Plus is still on, even after it’s end date.
A man Kubo
Scripps bought Ion Media just for the Ion Television network & for the Over-The-Air TV stations that they owned. They did have to sell the Ion TV stations that are in areas, that Scripps already owned two OTA TV stations, to a company called INYO Broadcast Holdings. Ion Media owned 71 OTA TV stations & Scripps had to sell off, at least, 24, of those, OTA TV stations to INYO Broadcast Holdings.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Still, what a waste of a brand.
@@medora2499 yeah
@@RiveraMichael4567 there’s also court tv mystery now.
From what I also understand is that Scripps is trying to make room on their own TV stations that they already owned for the new ATSC 3.0 standard. Moving diginets like Bounce, Court TV, Court TV Mystery, Grit & Laff to the Ion TV stations will allow them to do this.
My Favorite Shows Was
321 Penguins(2007)
Veggietales(2009)
Long Ago & Far Away(2009)
Doki(2010)
It will be missed :(
RIP Qubo 2007 2021
It's 2006 - 2021
Medora: It was just Qubo and PBS KIDS, Smile Tv:...
I'm going to miss Qubo a lot i had a lot good memories with the channel R.I.P
I can't say that I'm suprised to be honest. In a world where the internet has taken over basically any form of entertainment I knew that Qubo would die eventually. It's still is very sad, Qubo and PBS Kids where my go-to channels when my family had nothing after moving to Texas. The good ol' days. What I'd do to relive them.
Nice Revisitation!
You also make great content!
Noooooo qubo shutdown yesterday all I knew what happened was a show was airing and I did not know what is was cald but then it just went pitch black with the qubo logo just standing in the corner R.I.P qubo.
Welp... there goes my childhood.
👏 NO-CABLE GANG 👏 👏 ZOOMERS UNITE 👏
I’m 59 years old and i loved watching cartoons on qubo and now on digital tv qubo is now grit tv.

Qubo will be definitely missed! 😭
and Qubo got cancelled back in late February 28, 2021 3 years ago!

I saw the shutdown video. Apparently, viewers had 4 1/2 minutes to call a number and give money. Of course, they failed and Scripts BLAMED the viewers, including with a "Thanks for Nothing" screen. *DISRESPECTFUL! DISRESPECTFUL, I SAY!*
Now, even though I shouldn't reveal my age, I think it's important here. As of now, I started watching Qubo when I was either 3 or 4. At this time of writing this comment, I am 11.
That video is fake. What really happened was Qubo either switching to a whole other channel or getting cut off completely in the middle of a show.

Rip qubo, we will miss you.
I Still Remember some of the shows on there from this day...
When we couldn't afford cable we had qubo, RIP

I lived and was born in the 00s and I loved this decade. Stuff from the 00s is better.
I literally got this channel in August 2020 and they’re seriously doing this. I’m sad to see this channel go.
I used to watch the ION block when I first discovered it in 2014.
Trust me the shows on there were the best back in 2000’s - 2010’s

There's now a disclaimer whenever every show starts that alerts viewers about the Channel's closure.
Qubo has been my favorite channel since sprout. sad to see it go.
I remember watching it in the Mid 2010's to Late 2010's.
We miss you qubo and have a good day
