JESUS CHRIST IS THE LAST PROPHET. WE HAVE TO PREACH TO PEOPLE TO BE SAVED THROUGH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST THE CRUCIFIED ON THE CROSS MORE ALWAYS.
I think he meant by asking for personal prophecy from people rather than the source which God!
Many will come in Jesus’s name…with the spirit of divination to deceive you!
So even testing and asking GOD …is more important than a prophecy coming to pass, because if you come into agreement with a false prophecy it can come to pass!
Someone with evil heart will say good things…but God sees the posture of everyone.
There are super apostles even now who visited the grave to soak…up the anointing from Kathryn Kuhlman…none of them really repented and had deliverance!
That’s witchcraft…
Ask GOD whoever claims to be a prophet , if they operate from His leading or from another spirit.

Sister..John the Baptist was not a New Testament Prophet. The church age began after his death...on the day of Pentecost. He was born in transition period which was the bridge between the old covenant and the new covenant. And besides that Bro. Zac Poonen is talking about personal and directive prophecy, the message of the John the Baptist was not for an individual but for the nation Israel as a whole.

With all due respect, that's not actually true not everyone has the Holy Spirit, God can and will send a men/women to give you guidance, by the way he's pastor not a prophet, he's reaching talking outside his calling.
Interesting that you say he's not a prophet. My wife was listening to him for the first time last week and she discerned a prophetic spirit in his preaching. We do still have prophets today right?
He is so misguided! He does not even understand what he is saying. I am sorry, man of God. You must pray for the light and spirit of discernment. Most of your teachings its like they are being taught by the devil.

He is great man of God...with great anointing of holyspirit...always speaking truth....he never script man's glory

@ndivhuwo you must try listening to his teachings, if you have & still don't believe he's a true man of God, then you are truly deceived and God is not in you. He's one of the top best students of the scriptures living the scriptures. Test him against scriptures. I have. He's the real Christ follower , my #1 teacher of the gospel
Gift of prophecy is not working in this servant of God , that's y he is teaching like this ... when a man of God giving prophecy ,it s not meant he is taking the place of God .. two types of prophets are there , 1 . True prophet , 2 false prophet .. true or false prophets are identified by their fruits ... Prophecy is gift from God , gift of prophecy will give deliverance , gift of prophecy will heal , gift of prophecy will guide in right path, gift of prophecy helps to caution others ... It's very big topic to teach ... I honour this elder man of God , but I am not able to accept his teaching .. so sorry
