In another documentary about the training, they said they were not allowed to film the imprisonment because it is at the edge of what would be allowed under the german constitution. I think the german training might be more quiet to force people to get over their own thoughts and doubts, and not get distracted by someone yelling. Aside of a cultural difference as well
Its what my drill sergeant phrased "saying good day to your head". If you get shouted at you are receiving external motivation to go on. What the KSK want is someone who has the *intrinsic* motivation to overcome his self in extreme situation while staying calm, collected and aware. The silent professional and not just a super fit soldier. The same differentiation can be made for example between Seals and CIA SAD.
In a realistic situation, there is no one standing next to you shouting at you until you get it right. It's also not about belittling people or breaking them and thereby making them stronger.It’s about the candidates finding the strength within themselves. Character is particularly important in special forces. You need loyal people who are able think independently and can withstand great stress. You have to react appropriately. Neither exaggeratedly nor too timidly, and assess situations quickly. What's the point of being told to pass an aptitude test? Quality over quantity is the motto.

Ayup mate idk if you know anything about the medical but I had asthma when I was younger but I don’t have any problem with that for years and in the summer I hair line fractured my thumb but I read if you have fractured anything you have to wait a year but then I Also read you don’t have to if it’s your collar bone or your fingers so hopefully my medical goes through perfectally as I’m hoping to go through as a junior soldier

Ask Delta Force, Devgru, SAS, Sayeret Matkal, Spetsnaz Alpha Group, GIGN, French Foreign Legion they all will tell you KSK is among the best of the best!!! In operations they lose mostly none sometimes maybe 1 or 2 like all the top SF in the world and then look at your guys in the battle of Marawi how many scout rangers you lost, maybe even close to 100!!! And hundreds of other soldiers lost their lifes there so honestly stfu because here is the wrong place to fu** with the wrong people!!! Stay in your lane!!!

This is not training. They want to see if you can handle stress when it's all on you. So in a way you are right, but this is a selection process.
