    What I liked was taking a long trip (7-hours) using FSD and arriving actually rested and relaxed. I always thought that it was the long-drive that made me exhausted after such trips when actually it was the stress of being "switched on" driving for those hours. FSD is amazing.

    CAUTION! Worked great on the road, took me from Chicago to Michigan with no issues........city driving was dangerous, It tried to turn left from the middle lane in front of a turning school bus. Then it shut off in the middle of a turn and had me going right toward the curb. Could not get into a turn lane because of traffic, then tried to do so in the middle of the intersection in front of other turning cars. Have shut it off and will continue driving on my own.

    I have been using the FSD for 5 days now - went on a very long trip (6hrs one way) and the FSD made the entire drive way more comfortable - I haven’t figured out how to get it to park in my driveway at home - it just pulls up to the curb

    • @teslahowto

    Here are a few more observations-
    1. The auto park feature is just out of the world! I had to park in the underground parking garage of a hotel in Canada and the spot was really tight. Couldn’t spot a better one in the vicinity and tried the auto park feature. It did all the intricate manoeuvres and parked the perfectly safe 🎉
    2. The car takes the exit ramps but it fails to read the speed limit for the ramp. I suppose, the model requires more training images for the rhombus shaped speed signposts
    Overall, it is an outstanding piece of engineering ❤

      Trust me, it makes sense.
      You’re safer and less fatigued when you offload the vehicle navigation and control to the computer, and just monitor your local surroundings.
      Sometimes I don’t even know where I’m at - but I always know I’ll get there!
      You get to see more of the world, pay more attention to the beautiful sound system, and know that you have an extremely attentive extra set of eyes on the road.
      We’ve had 11 hour drives on road trips, and were not radically fatigued at the end of the day, ready to go out to dinner with our hosts afterward.
      I say “we” because my life loves FSD too, for the same reasons I do, and we both agree we’re much more comfortable when the other is driving with FSD.
      So much less chance of one of us making a silly mistake or loosing focus for a second causing major repercussions!

    • @danielkim672
      @danielkim672 2 месяца назад

      @@tommornini2470 I see what you are saying but from my uses so far, I dont get that. There are trade offs in safety in that you could think you are more safe and do things that take away from the driving such as looking at the environment and not really the road. Checking other things outside of the drive. If the safety is in full force in a car, I would think it would be more safer where the driver is fully driving and the safety features are working in parallel to that. As if you are in FSD and indeed something comes up that requires you to take control, that split second to react and also potentially what to react to could cause issues. I think i agree in 11 hour drive or so, it could help fatigue, I would have to put that to the test. You can not lose focus on the road anyways so it is not like you can rest rest while driving. But I do agree with people that might be sleepy, FSD does help. But again, my point was to me, it makes not a whole lot of sense when you need to pay attention still. And that is just coming from the standpoint of daily commute and personal activities standpoint, which is 99% of most of our driving habits.

    • @tommornini2470
      @tommornini2470 2 месяца назад

      @@danielkim672 I recommend against guessing how much fatigue will be reduced before putting it to the test.

    • @danielkim672
      @danielkim672 2 месяца назад

      @@tommornini2470 i have used it in everyday driving before. Doesnt help with fatigue in daily driving. I do not have a long drive planned coming up, but next time I will use it to see how I like it. See if it is worth the money. In the past, I realized people said FSD is so great as they sunk so much money to be guinea pig beta testers they didnt want to look like a smuck holding the bag for Elon lol. There was a minority of people that loved Tesla like me that was like, what is the big deal lol. My mind has not changed but in the future it might as we get to full autonomous.
