Dad bought one from US forest service , my brother and I were instructed to load it up with the biggest rocks we could pick up as to fill a bad wet spot in driveway ! This was 1966 , we gained a lot of respect for Dodge !
I had a 1959 Town Wagon in college in the early 70's. It had an old "wide deck" 318 V-8 and a 4 speed. The rear axle was full floating. Had 12:00 tires on iton white spoke rims. It was bad ass. Wish I'd kept it.
I was going to say that it is outstanding but I looked down and someone else already said it first. It really is a outstanding vehicle. Looks great and lots of extras for a 58 for sure.
This video is really well done. The interviewer leaves a lot to be desired, but the owner knows his stuff and speaks well with no BS. They didn't say it, but this is also very well restored and I guess it's a show truck.
This Mark dude has a complete STUNNING COLLECTION of unique trucks!!! Wow never seen anything like this in trucks before, being an Lincoln and Imperial guy but damn incredible Sir
@@thewriter2549 Very much so, as they were using a lot of the information that they gleaned from their experiences building 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks and ambulances for the military
These are amazing I have been watching these for years almost bought a 57 town panel 4x4, what is truly amazing is you can bolt another set of wheels on to the existing wheels and have dualies all around, talk about go anywhere!!!
@@thewriter2549 WWII military trucks often added a second set of wheels to the steering axles of their trucks, all the way to 2 1/2 ton trucks- these added in the mud and especially the snow-
Gotta love the 8 3/4 rear end in that unusual application. Oddest place I've ever seen the 8 3/4 is front and rear differential in a tracked snow vehicle.
Thanks again Danny - this guy Marc collects very unusual 4 x 4's and fleet type vehicles and fire trucks making his collection one of the most interesting I have ever seen. Marc is also an expert on these vehicles, as revealed by his expert commentary. I like to give people like this credit for what they know and what they do for the hobby,.
Nothing like a work truck made so expensive only a business magnate can afford it!😂 Seriously though that’s a spectacular find and I’m SO glad he’s kept it all original. I’ve only seen a couple at car shows over the years and they were both military surplus, still cool but not a swanky Town Wagon
Climate change is FAKE!! And I Do NOT Give A Rats Behind About Electric cars!! As Archie Bunker would say. CASE CLOSED!!! 8/5/19 8.05 am cst USA...TRUMP 2020..
You notice it only had one shifter for transfer case, meaning it was like a newer 4 WD ,most 4 WD of that era had two shifters for transfer case one shifter for 4 WD or 2 WD and the other shifter high range or low range
Such a beauty My travel-all came with the PTO driven winch....but I think it was farm installed. Do you know the budd wheel spec? Was it 6 on 6 inch spacing? Internationals shared a very similar body style and some were rural school buses....yours was definitely garage kept.

Unfortunately dodge trucks haven't been built like that in a long long time. And now......dodge trucks no longer exist.

🍀🤙🐺🧙♂️👍🍀
I don't think I've ever seen one of these before, but man its cool.
That is the most amazing vehicle ive ever seen beautiful. has now become my dream car. Thanks for sharing.
I was going to say that it is outstanding but I looked down and someone else already said it first. It really is a outstanding vehicle. Looks great and lots of extras for a 58 for sure.
The owner knows so much about it that it makes me happy that he's the owner.
I had a 1963 retired Navy truck had it painted Artic blue and white!
Beautiful truck Prestige and class! When America made great cars and trucks! Take me back in time☠⚡⚡
What a beautiful beast....
Super cool truck...love the color, that is awesome.
Sweet ,this comming from a die hard ford guy !!!

Outstanding truck! And it has the original wheels too!

Those tires probably didn't have as much traction as they look like they would have but they sure do contribute to the beastly aura.
You could climb a tree with those bias ply tires. They rode awful, hard as a rock but you could go anywhere with them.
This truck is bad ass! I love the look!
I like the color, too. Did Dodge excel in these types of vehicles in this era?
@@thewriter2549 Very much so, as they were using a lot of the information that they gleaned from their experiences building 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks and ambulances for the military
That is an awesome truck. And it's been restored to a perfect shape. Thanks for sharing this with me.
A beautiful work of art. If only they could make something like this today.
This guy's trucks are nothing short of stunning. I wonder how much soul one would have to sell to get one of these....
Don't think they are quite in the "sell your soul" category... Probably more a kidney-price range!
Yeah, beautiful truck.
Amazing Truck ! Omg I’ve never seen one like this !!

I did not know that, what a picture that would be.

My oh my, what a thing o' beauty. Functional, utilitarian, and beautiful. This is what trucks should look like -- minimal chrome, purpose-built.
Great truck, love to have this one.
Beautiful vehicle. Thank you for showing it.
Amazing. and wonderful truck
That is a beautiful Dodge
this is the one of the coolest cars I ever seen I want one so bad man

WHAT A GORGEOUS TRUCK!!!
My freind has an unrestored 58 that has been driven north to Yellowknife, NT Canada 🇨🇦 several times from Bellingham, WA Neat rig.
That's a gorgeous car
That is a beautiful truck!

Jerry Heasley I believe he makes a guitar or two as well....;)
I MUST have one!
Now that's a bad old goat u got there 🐐
Looks like something I’d make in snowrunner
Super cool.
The 315 V8 engine has huge cylinder heads which look like hemi heads. However they are often described as polysphere heads which are very rare.
Amazing truck, I am going to have to make a 3D model version of it for sure
That is one cool truck.
The old stuff is still impressive.
That is so dang nice,I'd love to own one.
Makes me miss my '58 W200.
Crazy badass truck
That is TOTALLY AWESOME

That looks like some good daily driver material.
Very nice.
Nice truck
FABULOUS!
Beautiful rig, appears to be a Mopar guy from the vehicles in the background.
Beautiful
You are
I bet the truck would really go well in the snow
What a Beaut!
I would prefer this vehicle over anything being made today
Cool vehicle!
Super Power Giant, eh? Someone at Dodge was unafraid of hyperbole.
Man that's sick 🤪
Wish you wouldve taken it for a spin down the road, probably loud and slow but still awesome
So glad you didn't start it. Would have sucked to hear it run and see it drive.
Very cool!
Very nice
That a car to need.
Wish we could have heard it run.
Such a beauty

To a Russian like me, it looks like they nicked the wheels off a GAZ 51 truck.
It's a beautiful looking machine.
Pretty cool
“It goes to 110”
“Unlikely”
Mopar Porn! LOVE IT!!
Masterpiece
Indeed!!
Dad had a Studebaker pick up.
I bought a 1974 Power Wagon.
Boy,this thing is awesome,ugly,but awesome.
What a Beauty
This is bad ass! Love it....how many vehicles do you have??
Built on the Dodge Assembly line unlike Ford and Chevy which were sent out to have them converted into a 4WD
Beauty
Precioso auto
I would put bigger and wider tires on it for everyday type driving and switch them to stock tires for shows.
