New beginnings- when we think it’s awful, we might not realize it’s actually a fresh start. You got this. Paint your life like you do your rocks - with color, fun, and lots of love. When we realize how temporary everything is, as we mature, we have the wonderful opportunity to savor moments, changes, and challenges and know that our strength is built on how well we get up when we get knocked down.
I am an American living in the Highlands of Scotland and see this symbol in various places. You are right it is a Celtic Knot. Like you I have artist impatience lol. But omfg this has turned out so freaking beautiful!! 🥰 As you drive through Scotland’s more rural areas, but especially in the Highlands, on single lane roads with little passing spots for other drivers coming the other way to get past, some sparkle or bright colour will suddenly catch your eye in an area with a stunning view…when you get your camera out and take a few pics and go see what is glinting, you have found a gift of happiness an anonymous friend of the universe has left for you. Sometimes you will find 10-12 of them. I brought home my first one found, but now I leave the others I find so someone else gets to bring one home. But I always take photos of the stones and leave a note for the the anonymous friend to thank them if the area is safe enough to do so (ie there is a little shelter to protect the note from Scotland’s rain (aka liquid sunshine) and all the wind in the Highlands. I just have to say, I could listen to you all day, you have got such a great laugh and sense of humour when facing challenges! I sat her grinning like a fool watching your video! You remind me of my best friend back home in the US! I have not seen her in a year and am desperate to get back over to catch up proper while my hubby and her hubby (who happens to be my baby brother) go off getting into mischief. She and I grab a bottle or two of wine or if feeling very naughty a bottle of rum, sit out on the patio in the sun and as I am disabled with a spinal jury and in lots of pain, either have an edible or a puff as it is legal in n VT (sadly not in Scotland though, but it works so much better than morphine for my pain), we chat and giggle like we have lost our minds and put the world to rights. I am wishing the spring away as I go visit at the end of May. Wherever you are at, you will probably hear us laughing when the sunbeams visit you. And please join us in the laughter, it does the soul the world of good! My heart hurts for you and your loved ones with the changes happening. Just remember, some times you have to go through the bad times for those new beginnings that will bring you such deep joy!! And when that deep joy is found, it makes the dark days you went through worthwhile!! Remind yourself that without the dark you cannot appreciate the light. Although I always hated it when my Mom would say, as I cried my heart out, “Adversity builds character” but she was right, even if I felt I had more than enough character and the universe could go help others who needed more character lol. I have been greatly blessed afters some pretty hard lessons and must say the worse the issue, the more incredible the gifts. So please know good things will abound with your new beginnings. Sending bright and beautiful blessings and virtual hugs to you! And if you ever make it over to Scotland please give me a shout and I would be happy to take you for a meal and show you some areas to find painted stone gifts while enjoying mother nature’s beauty. BB 🙏❤️🏴
This is gorgeous 😍 So sorry to hear that life is hell, been there with my ex. He kept threatening to take my kids to Vietnam and I had no money, no lawyer, yada yada...my point is that life gets better. My ex and I can have a civil conversation now and our kids are grown and love us both. Many hugs to you sweet lady 🤗🥰💕
Oh my gosh, this design is so inspiring 🥰. Don’t worry about how many times you do clean up….or don’t use technical terms……we don’t care & are never bored……we watch you cause we love your beautiful work, soothing voice & your giggle….hugs to you & your boys.❤❤❤
This is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your life with us so we can rejoice in your new beginning and happy future. . I KNOW you are going to come out of this better and stronger . I did ! Love you Rachel
Sending you a virtual hug. I started new beginnings July 17, 2021 will a kidney transplant, kidney is good but I still have pain on the same side of the transplant. Some pain all the time, praying it will eventually go away as my Drs tell me my transplanted kidney is perfect
I Love this rock! You Rock Rachel! As time passes and you figure things out, it will be much easier! It takes time and an adjustment period! Then you’ll look back and say “I didn’t need him, I need my children and our health”!
Rachel I hate the fact that you are hurting so much. You have been such an inspiration to me and I would love to be able to help in some way. I have been through many hells in my life … some I never thought I could come back from. But there is life and happiness after devastation. You are a strong woman, but know that it is okay to feel, and hurt, and mourn what you thought was. Don’t know if that makes sense but you are not destined to be anything other than the delightful, loving, caring, vivacious woman you are. Bless you Rachel and my prayers are with you 🙏🏼🙏🏼♥️
I have been there and it definitely is hard. I was going through my divorce....I was homeschooling my 2 young boys , taking care of animals, cooking, cleaning and then staying with my 62 year old mom from 7pm till 9:30 am in hospice till my sister would arrive to take over so I could start my day. It was definitely devastating to say the least. I can't say I know exactly what your going through but, my experience made me realize I was much stronger than I ever thought I was....I won't lie It was some of the hardest things I had ever gone through but, here I am...hang in there and know you are thought about....wished for....cared about.
Sorry that you are going through all of that its a big adjustment Im sure... Just remind yourself your exactly where you are supposed to be. This new chapter may lead you to better and brighter days. Stay strong sending happy positive healing energy to you😊🙏💗
I'm all about the sparkle, glitter & shine !!! I try to exude that same mentality in my life and to others around me. Some people can't handle all that glow !!! Rock on sister !!!
beautiful as always Rachel. Your artwork definitely resembles your beautiful heart….and as long as you continue to do what you love, you can’t go wrong ❤ Thank you again for sharing your amazing gifts and talents with us. You will never be alone because we are your rock solid family 😊
I'm sorry you're having to go through this hell. I've been through it and now my son has been forced through this as well. To hear you speak about all of this just breaks my heart for you. I am sending you a great big hug right now. This came out just fabulous! Hang in there Rachel. Keep holding on to those sweet boys of yours. They will always be there with you.
Wonderful art. Hope you are doing ok. I discovered you during first lockdown and journey with you. Keep up your brave and joyous attitude, expressed in your fabulous designs.
Beautiful "New Beginnings" stone Rachel! It's always a joy and calming, therapeutic video you share & appreciated! God bless you abundantly in all aspects of your life! At 65, I've had some new beginnings in my life (and some seem like a lifetime ago). I'm very thankful that I recently am learning to take things in stride more (when I feel myself getting anxious.) We're at a challenging time as caregivers for my FIL for the last 2 and a half years, but see the positive side of things as well. Thank you for sharing your talents & know we love you too! 💞🙏🙂😘😘😘BIG HUGS!!!
Beautiful, as always!❤ I have two of your stones, so I know just how beautiful they are in real life! I am so sorry to hear about your family troubles. I have been through a fair, share myself and manage to get through with a happy ending! Sending gentle hugs and good vibes!❤
Amazing amazing amazing talent. 💞💕 I’ve been thru hell and the other side is your new heaven , you can choose to be happy each day and claim your life back .
Love that glitter! Always want to rush my projects to see the final image. It's had to rush when you have to first cut, grind, foil, then solder your projects. Keep on painting!!☺️🎨😉
I love this Rachel, it is so beautiful. I am so sorry your life is such a struggle. When life hands me scraps, I make a quilt, you paint on rocks, and make it seem so easy, although I have tried and it is not easy. Keep your chin up, know that God is in control of all things, I pray for a wonderful new beginning for you and your children. I love the watercolors you use they are so beautiful. I love the sparkly backgroung the rock sits on, do you mind telling us what it is?
So so beautiful!! How do you do your resin? What do the back of the rocks look like? Do you paint the resin on or pour it? Thanks so much for sharing your talent!!
Hi Rachel, I just found your channel and have been watching a lot of your videos. You do such beautiful work. Can you tell me if you have z video showing your resin process.
This is so pretty, love the colors. It makes such a difference with the resin, just pops! I have about 2 dozen stones I have done, but putting off the resin. I need to find your video on resin and go for it! Virtual hug to you!
I love and hate seeing time lapses about art, because when I do it myself I always feel like that I should rush trough it even it is a very difficult part. Even when the artist mentioned that the Artwork took over a week or more, it doesn't feel true haha. I'm also afraid of loosing my Idea or motivation doing my art, but I'm working on taking more time and being patient! So I totally feel you 😅 Also you made the stone even more beautiful ❤
So do you cure the top coat, and THEN add the chrome? Is it still sticky? Then do you put it under the light again? This was fun to watch, by the way.. ❤
Love this!!!! Also if anyone doesn't like glitter and sparkle, we just can't be friends. **sparkle baby**. As always kisses and well wishes from Toronto 😘 ❤️. Keep smiling gorgeous 😊
Beautiful rock once again Rachel. I've never even noticed nail color changes until you pointed it out, lol You've inspired me to start painting rocks again and after collecting all the glittery, chrome supplies and lights and so on, I just started a grizzly bear paw last night ❤️
After 10 years, me and my ex called it quits. I am living my BEST life without him in it. I bought a brand new car, my business is growing and fast! While he is stuck in a rutt LMFAO. Sad part is we broke up 3 years ago, he wont move sleeping in the livingroom. Now funny thing is he sees my growth and stays mad daily and all I do is laugh when I get in my new car and leave hahahahahaha. Moral of my story is, after the pain comes happiness and you are strong, you will come out on top my friend.

Love this design. I am sorry you are struggling. My divorce wasn't what I wanted at the time, but once I was out of that relationship, I began to understand how unhealthy it really was. I am far better off now. You can't unscramble eggs, but you can certainly try to focus on the new beginning, and the opportunities it brings. :) (((Hugs)))

totally gorgeous!!!! Rachel! Tell me about your work surface. What is that??
The rocks that you paint on look smooth, are they?
The rocks I seem to see look like compressed sand
I really don’t know if I could paint on them
Hi Rachel, I just found your channel and have been watching a lot of your videos. You do such beautiful work. Can you tell me if you have z video showing your resin process.

I love this!!! Yes new beginnings for me too 🤗

Do you use special rocks?
I love and hate seeing time lapses about art, because when I do it myself I always feel like that I should rush trough it even it is a very difficult part. Even when the artist mentioned that the Artwork took over a week or more, it doesn't feel true haha. I'm also afraid of loosing my Idea or motivation doing my art, but I'm working on taking more time and being patient! So I totally feel you 😅
Also you made the stone even more beautiful ❤
How long do you let the rocks dry before painting them?
I'm really interested in purchasing your watercolor set but, I'm not finding a link for them 😢
Stay strong❤❤❤
So Beautiful!!! Thank you for a great tutorial!!!!❤
❤❤❤
So do you cure the top coat, and THEN add the chrome? Is it still sticky? Then do you put it under the light again? This was fun to watch, by the way.. ❤
Thank you! Yes, you cure first, then add Chrome powders or chrome flakes. Then I seal the whole stone with art resin after.
Love this!!!! Also if anyone doesn't like glitter and sparkle, we just can't be friends. **sparkle baby**. As always kisses and well wishes from Toronto 😘 ❤️. Keep smiling gorgeous 😊

Where does that symbol come from
I simply Google symbols for new beginnings.

When I got a divorce 10 years ago I got a tattoo of a compass on my arm. It's a constant reminder so I never loose my way again! You take care of you.
