This is a sad message to hear. This is a sad day for F1. This is a sad day for car manufacturers to a fizzy drink company started by someone pinching the idea from a Thai guy whipping the bottom of some the most established car manufacturers in the world.

Nah he’s not that good. He’s been destroyed by a rookie in his first season at mclaren as a reigning double world champion. You do realise that Hamilton scarred Alonso for life and he might be the reason for Alonso poor choice of teams until this year.

As a neutral, the advent of dutch frenzy into F1 is the worst thing since banning the V8. If you could take Verstappen (De Vries is already taking himself to the exit door) with you and go that would be fantastic. Don’t let the door hit you back on your way out.

And actually, the fans of the best driver on the grid have always been blamed to be the worst. I think the problem lies more with the new found fans that only found their way to F1 through the Drive to Survive series.
And the intolerance of other people that think they know it all better is also a problem. But that's mostly because pretty much all of them are keyboard warriors.
Give Alonso a Redbull and he will be WDC.

I started following F1 about a year ago because of how bad of an entertainment drought i was going through. Decided to basically pick a driver to follow and decided Max was a safe bet. Liked his bluntness and general skill. Still like him and always happy when he wins (p9-p1 is impressive no matter what)
But hollllly shit when he's in the lead hes practically untouchable. 2022 had some competition at least. Starting to root for midfielders like Sargent for country represent, Lando because of talent, and Leclerc because God does that man need a redemption arc

I mean if the winner goes from 9th to 1st place and for people its boring then idk. Even if Max would start 20th and win the race there still would be people saying that is boring. It was surelly better when Lewis or his teammates were starting p1 and p2 every race and then win the race by like 30 seconds. 😅
I think his overtakes and climb through the field was entertaining, but I was hoping more so for a battle between max and checo to be a bit longer and closer. It was a good race for overtakes however
the battle was pretty long, but it was a Strategie battle not an ontrack battle

Alonso. He is clearly the best... whether he was the ace for Renault, finding ways to win in spite of the Ferrari pit crew, or dueling Lewis at McClaren, he has always an entertaining driver to watch.
