New paint does not remove the mold issue. Like someone else said, you have to take it down to the studs and put in new drywall etc.

Nope. I believe that mold. Mold will grow quicker in a dark place There is clearly a mold issue. In order to deal with it, you need to take it down to the studs and start over. It does not matter how much you clean.

Don't be so obtuse. The Tennant abused the place. If the mold wasn't there before, she was the cause. Blaming the landlord is just a get out jail for free card.

I heard 2 words and knew what was wrong they mentioned something about water pooling and sealing it and I know A. This is a trailer with no gutters B. Because it has no gutters water catches on the windowsills. I had this same issue with a trailer I was living in and it was literally causing the floor in front of the front door to rot. we tried to get the park owner to fix it. Their response was to throw some plywood over the hole. We had children in the house. It cost us 2k to remodel that kitchen because upon tear down we found it under the window across the room and it was causing rot across the entire floor.

Why is mold growing on random things in my house?
Mold may begin growing indoors when mold spores land on surfaces that are wet. There are many types of mold, and none of them will grow without water or moisture. Key points to remember: The key to mold control is moisture control.
Mold growth in homes can be more common in the winter than in warmer months because cold air absorbs less moisture than warm air. This moisture can condense on surfaces, such as windows and exterior walls, and increase the risk of mold growth. In addition, moisture from rain, sleet, and snow can be tracked inside, creating more humid conditions.

Most mold is created by some of the tenant who wash their clothing and hang dry their clothing inside. That humidity has to go somewhere and that is usually the spots with the mold on the walls. When people do 3 or more loads of laundry that is a lot of water that has to go somewhere if your windows are not open.
