  • The RS3 looks fantastic on paper and has an exhilarating power plant but does it live up to the hype?

That 5 cylinder is really the only thing that makes the RS3 unique. I wish they brought the hatchback to the states.

@ZENT ROSE You were in the Comfort setting when you were in Manual Mode that's why the car didn't feel as sporty. When you switch to an RS Mode or Dynamic mode it changes suspension, shifting, exhaust note, and power delivery. Comfort setting will mute the car for family driving comfort. There is also an Individual Mode where you can save the individual component settings to your liking.

I am in RS performance first when I demonstrate manual shifting and then switch to comfort. You can see the mode on the gauge panel and dash panel. Cheers!

When you say it's not fast when rolling are you bogging the engine? Would downshifting before hammering it fix this?

It's just turbo lag. If you're on throttle on a backroad or racetrack it's not a problem. Keeping revs up by shifting to lower gears helps a little but it still takes a bit of time to spool up. It adds to the RS3's dual personality.

@@ZentRose people complain about turbo lag but I love it. Makes going thru a gear alot more fun with a sling shot effect!

8:46 Typical case of "you dont know what your doing"! Floored it at 800RPM and expected full Torque or Power?

Do you understand the purpose of a 5-60 mph test?

@@Ben-bg2eg I do. Quote "It's like it takes forever to get in the power band" @800RPM.
Do you understand the specs [369 lb-ft @2250-5600RPM/401 HP @5.600 - 7.000RMP] of the car?

Kinda gay. Fast & all but looks like a riced out Kia or Hyundai elantra or something. Not audis proudest product.

Yes I love Audi, but it is very hard to justify the 70k price tag on this car.
