Do you know what kind of range the app has? Distance from the camera.
@TheCratesMotel, I can still get a stable signal at 3 meters away. I haven't used it for longer than that though and I only use it mostly for interviews.

@@WorldAlternativeMusic, yes 💯%👌🏾 For the lens, I highly, highly recommend the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8. It's fast and it's great that it's a zoom lens which is versatile. It's my only autofocus lens for the FX30 and so far no issues with it. There must be a way to not use Wi-Fi so there's no lag. I want to just plug the phone in using the USBC or HDMI. Is that possible?
@VeganLinked, the only option available to connect to a camera is via Bluetooth and WiFi. I agree and it would be great if we can just plug in a camera via USB to prevent lag. Although the lag is very minimal when connected via Bluetooth and is very usable, but still a wired connection will be better. I appreciate your question and thank you for watching! 🙏🏾
@@BernieHipos Yea, using a usb c cable would eliminate BT/WiFi lag and battery drain.
How do you recommend to hookup your smartphone to use it as a monitor/ viewfinder since the Sony FX30 doesn't have a viewfinder and it can be hard to shoot in the sun?
@margueritedebourgoing5228, you can get a sunshade that looks something like this: tinyurl.com/2y8h6pa2 I've been using my old sunshade from my DJI drone and it fits perfectly. Just make sure you get the correct measurement. Normally the sunshade made for DJI drone controllers will fit. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching the video! 🙏🏽
