I think I've mentioned this before. What keeps me coming back to your channel is your personality. You are a nice person. That is such a rare thing. I may not always care for the art you create but the care and skill you use to make the things you do is wonderful. Plus, from time to time you create projects I try out on my own such as the list of items to draw from for collage pieces and a portfolio project. You positively guide a lot of people by way of your videos. You should be proud of that!
Thank you so much, I too watch RUclips videos and don’t always care for the content but there’s always a nugget of useful information in there somewhere.
Thank you Ceri for filling our heads with creative ideas and useful tips. I don't always have time to replicate your projects but continually find myself using titbits of inspiration in my own projects, and even when out shopping! 🤗 I now look in charity shops and old book shops with a completely different perspective.🤔 Please continue sharing your lovely videos to keep the creative (and thrifty) juices forever flowing in us. 😊
You my friend do great videos. I enjoy watching and listening to you. I may have to try this way of doing a signature or journal. I have always sewn them. TFS 🤙❤
Good morning dear Ceri love this idea! Thank you so much! I have prints sitting in a drawer so now I can have some fun doing this. 😊 thanks for all the inspiration ❤❤ hugs and blessings
Love it Ceri thank you for more great inspiration. I do the same thing with making sure things will stay stuck! I always say “there’s a method to my madness”.
Ceri, thank you for your videos, they are enjoyably and inspiring. I also enjoy your coffee time. I have been pondering on 😊the one on Death Cleaning. We as artist want to leave our treasures we have created to someone that would treasure them. Well if you will permit me. The Lord shared this with me. If my treasures ended up in a garage sales or thrift shop and it is purchased by someone they found it beautiful and brings them joy. Isn’t that our purpose to bring joy and beauty to those around us. I will continue pour my heart into my craft whatever it may be to bring joy and wherever it may end up. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts. You are an inspiration to us all. 😊
Thank you for speaking about the fears us creators have.I struggle as well and end up just reorganizing supplies more than using them. I will give this idea a go
This is such a fun way of building a book! I am a card maker, who has recently started making journals. I’ve always been afraid of gelli printing, because it seems so much more chaotic and messy than anything I’m used to doing. But seeing all the fun ways that you use your prints, I’m really wanting to try it now. Thank you for the inspiration!
This method is my favorite way to use those documents from the file cabinet, and junk mail. Can't wait for the interview, & looking forward to the series projects. Bravo
I love your method of first glueing the pages together in sets of two before creating the complete stack. I always learn something new from your videos. It is so easy to follow your clear demonstrations of the techniques you use. Thank you so much!
Love, love, love this idea Ceri! I always like your spin on things that inspire you to create something! Thanks for sharing with us! I will be watching your interview with Mariah.
Thank you so much for this video, I have so many odd papers leftover from projects, you have inspired me to use them up, excellent work. Best wishes from the Okanagan Valley BC 😊
Greetings from Arizona. I had to smile because as you were working, I was telling you, “cut there, put that over there” and then you would do it 😊. I understand your conflict Iam a Virgo and the two sides of my brain do battle.
Love this little journal and have lots of clean up papers! I think I am going to make one and use it to make an idea book for edges like I saw Gayle make! 😊
Thank you Ceri! You sure make my world so much more fun, beautiful and creative! You are on constant replay on my computer and have learned a lot from you, forever grateful!
What a wonderful idea for all the gel prints I, as a new gel printer, am amassing that just aren’t that impressive. This little journal will be something that I can definitely use, as the pristine white pages in my store bought journal are just too intimidating! Also, I don’t really have a stash of the wonderful bits of ephemera that I see in so many of other utube artists. You always have such wonderful diy ideas! I love all your videos, Ceri! Thank you for sharing your considerable talents.
I’m looking forward to your live. Gathering those questions together now. Enjoyed watching you put this together. As always, thanks for sharing and inspiring.
i COMPLETELY understand what you said about being more free in your creativity when you're using something that isn't too "posh" or expensive! I've been cutting down composition notebooks to roughly 5-1/2 X 7-1/2, decorating the front and back covers, and I LOVE them! On my shelves I literally have 15+ "proper" journals that I have not written in or decorated in any way. I also have a "Wreck This Journal," which is a lot of fun because it encourages you to do things like spill things on it or splash water onto it or things like that and it's supposed to get you to start feeling more comfortable about not messing up, because the messier you are, the better! Anyway, thank you for sharing your awesome ideas with us!
Brilliant idea Ceri, thanks for sharing this with us. I have a pile of gelli print sheets on my table which I was planning to cut up and stick into a journal, now I know what I will do. Keep doing what you do as you do it so well. I will try to catch the live interview with Mariah. 🧡💜💙💛
I followed your dump art journal video and made my own and I absolutely adore it!!! I haven’t played with my acrylic paints in years and it feels so good to get back into it. 💕
The techniques that you show us are things that can be incorporated into other journaling or art projects. I love your sharing your creative way of thinking with us. The way you recycle scraps and left over materials is great. You have shown us how you can take discarded things that appear have no value and use them in other things you have made which become new works of art.
Ceri, I absolutely love how this turned out! Each page feels like a work of art, and the cover is lovely! I don't know you in real life but watching you create and listening to you talk about your processes and even your insecurities makes me feel as though I am visiting a friend! Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you for showing how you made this. I have seen many videos of hand made books with signatures being sewn in or ring bound but never made like this. I love it. Will definitely have a go. I'm sure I have one or a dozen empty boxes to use for the cover! 😊TFS❤
Thank you once more for another inspiring video, brilliant advice gluing 2 pages together etc, love that I always learn something new from you. I totally get where you're coming from in being afraid to let loose with your creative flow, when we are brought up in an environment where we have to 'be careful' with money or things but also be 'perfect' it affects many aspects of our lives. I am constantly trying to step out of my 'safe' comfort zone and suffer with anxiety as a result of being fearful of being wasteful or failing. We can often feel alone and foolish for thinking like this so it is really helpful when someone else shares their feelings. It helps us make sense of it all, a problem shared and all that!
I hate when I write a nice comment and then fail to hit comment again and lose it by accidentally touching something that backs me out and loses the whole thing. Sometimes I retype it but sometimes I just move on like now. Trust me, this one was very nice but it would be exhausting to redo it. Am enjoying following you. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration. I'm trying to work my way through your vids. Love from Alabama, USA. Helen.👍😁❤❤
