It's always been that way. Unfortunately in recent decades the amount of tourists has increased meanwhile their behaviour has declined massively. Visitors used to be able to regulate themselves respectfully here. I think that there's going to have to be some changes here soon if this keeps up.

Well done horse and guard got that moron out of the way, she didn't look pleased it is about time that these people realised it isn't their playground these are serving, working soldiers and they the tourists shouldn't get under their or the horses feet, they invade the box man and horses private space and don't like it when they are asked to move out of the way, the way those women behaved was entitled, something they are not. If I had my way it would be only paid for groups and no photos with the horses, these too are troopers and doing a days work not something to pose with. They are not models, the are real people doing a real job this isn't Disneyland or any other play park. It is working barracks. Something I think should be made more clear in future the sooner the better. Perhaps boards up with the history of the two regiments and or a narrations in different languages, perhaps headsets they could charge for the narration as well, for the tour groups to listen to as the go round the areas they are allowed to visit it works well for museums and that is what they have as well.
It’s hard to understand them when they are yelling at the top of their lungs…I think the behavior is embarrassing to the monarchy. They pride themselves on being stoic yet encourage everyone around them to act like a circus gone wrong
Really? It isn't really important whether we understand or not as long as the troopers do that is all that matters, I never have any trouble understanding them though. The only circus is the idiotic tourist who treat the place like Disneyland or a petting zoo and I wish the higher ups would close it to these people completely I feel so sorry for the horses in particular with idiots shouting at the top of their voices they don't have a volume control. I would have moved them all back away from my horse. why the heck did that stupid woman scream, that certainly moved my ear wax poor horse and guard, their ears will be ringing for the rest of the day. I think these men and women are wonderful and very thankful that they have our backs in times of trouble.

Unfortunately asking politely has been tried countless times. A military command voice is all that seems to work. It's getting to the point where they're going to have to restrict public access because it's becoming hazardous in there with people milling about doing as they please. It's a military location with partial public access for historical and cultural reasons. It's time to make that access a lot more partial.
