Back by popular demand, Bedtime Stories has returned! This is a slight spin on a typical story time video (which side note, I'm addicted to).
If this is your first Bedtime Story, let me explain. Basically, every story time video that I've done here on my channel kinda feels like that wonderful moment when you're swapping stories with your best friends riiiight before you fall asleep. So, I turned it into a series-- we all get changed into our PJs and swap stories--often relating to theatre. For the newest installment of the series, I thought it'd be fun to turn this into an ACTUAL slumber party!

Alexander and Maria are pretty innocent, apart from the actual affair part.
Oh and don't start the whole, "Alexander could leave" S**t with me, he was cornered FREAKING CORNERED!
So in all, James Reynolds is the only one we really have to blame.
And Alexander loved Eliza still the whole time, so did she.
Yes they had their up and Downs's, but they still loved each other.

DemonicFryingPan I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. It was just a opinion. I do understand that he had a lot of stress on his shoulders and he felt trapped. I honestly wasn't focusing on who was truly guilty in the story, just like in the last 5 years when Jamie cheated on his wife, he had his reasons and he was young and scared. I was just saying that cheating is still being unfaithful. Also, everyone in the Hamilton fandom has had different opinions about Hamilton cheating, that's the thing, when you are discussing right and wrong and justification it isn't fact it's opinion. But I do apologize for offending you.

One time I was at an audition for bye bye birdie and they told us to parter up with random people and while I was singing my parter pushed me, so I had a MAJOR voice crack. Needless to say I've never done bye bye birdie.

Tl;dr did Les Mis in high school, thought we killed a kid.
Freshman year of high school my school did Les Mis and it was great and wonderful because Les Mis, but my favorite stage mishap ever comes from that show. Basically it was the scene in act two with all the revolutionaries dying and me and a few other ensemble members got the job of pushing our barricade off stage after they all died. And the way our barricade was made was just a bunch of random things kind of thrown together with a door sticking straight up at the top and very badly screwed together. So one of the boys decides to throw his dead body onto this very badly attached door, which immediately snaps in half. He falls on his face behind our barricade, surrounded by these huge wooden splinters. And even though he's behind the barricade, and absolutely no one in the audience can see him, he decides to still be dead and not let any of us know he's alive in the wings. We start to panic because he's been laying there a really long time without moving and we think he's been impaled by these huge splinters, but when we start to move the barricade he just jumps up and casually strolls offstage.

my favorite mishaps come from my church's Christmas show (a full original Broadway style musical), buckle up y'all
Every year they hire a camel from someplace to come in during the nativity and walk across the stage whilst people are marveling at the sight of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. The camel got freaked out, it would not leave! It came up the aisle, onstage, walked across...and then rebelled. It reared up, walked back the way she came, stomped her feet, and we were terrified. Angels were dancing so close to it and had to move out of the way while doing their ballet. It took five minutes for it to calm down and go offstage, and the audience applauded 😂
In another year, it's London in WWI and this kid who's holding a royal flag leading the royal parade (idk what you would call his role) tripped and started a whole domino effect across the stage. The entire ensemble just fell from left to right. Luckily it was during a blackout and a Blitz/air attack sound played so it looked like it was on purpose.
I got physically pushed off the stage. We were supposed to exit through the house and in that scene we were a bunch of crazy nightmare people, so they told us to jump off the stage into the aisle. Well, people were in such a rush that people pushed me and I BELLY FLOPPED. 3 feet down. In the aisle right next to audience members. I take a second to gather myself and find my prop ala Velma from Scooby Doo looking for her glasses. I look up and the director is sitting right there. Just looking at me. I got out on time and cried for the next hour (I was 14)
In an Easter show, Jesus is getting set on the cross backstage while another scene is happening. But something went wrong and he exclaimed "SHOOT!!" and his mic was still on!! and he said it really fast so it sounded like something else. Everyone gasped 😂😂😂
I have so many more. Cell phones ringing onstage, people actually forgetting about scenes (guilty), etc. but those are my favorites.

One time I was playing Mayzie in Seussical, and in the middle of How Lucky You Are, I saw my crush just staring at me in the audience. Needless to say I may or may not have hit the wrong note once or twice, since Mayzie's an Alto and I'm a Soprano, or I was just really freaked out.

The Carrie story reminded me of my absolute favorite performance story!! In February I was in a production of Pterodactyls and mid-act 2, my character runs off and a minute later a gun goes off, meaning that I killed myself. Opening night after the gun went off, there was a spilt second of dead silence and someone in the audience yelled "WHAT THE F***???!!" Everyone left on stage had to be frozen and serious but they were trying so hard not to laugh hahaha I almost cackled backstage

It was ballet rather than theatre, but anyway; for a few years in middle school and early high school I was a stagehand for this trainwreck of a dance ensemble my sister was in. There were all kinds of injuries and mishaps because it was an amateur dance troupe composed mostly of high schoolers, but the most notable one was as follows: The stage we usually used for our performances had this one set of mildly dangerous metal stairs, which was fine until one year when one girl (I think she was about 13-14 at the time) tripped and smashed her shin on the sharp edge of a stair hard enough to cut through to the bone during the performance. She danced anyway and didn't even notice the blood streaming down her leg until it was pointed out to her. I'm about 90% sure the carpet still has bloodstains.

Ok so I haven't done theatre in a few years but I do competitive acrobatics so here's one
I had a competition in May, I think, and the night before I have to shave, shower, wash and scrub myself but that time I had evidently forgotten to cut my toenails. Because the next day, I realised that for our e n t i r e second exercise, there had been a small cut on the side of my toe from the nail, and my toe was completely covered in blood. Basically I competed with a heavily bleeding toe. No wonder we came third.

I did lights for Ros and Guil are Dead, and there's this bit in the play where Hamlet's yelling at Ophelia, and then he storms out and she's on the floor crying, it's a whole thing. And during that bit, there where multiple nights where the audience started laughing. Some of if was probably nervous, but a lot of it was like...they though it was funny??

I was Jojo in Seussical when I was 10 and during Alone in the Universe I was carrying around a huge blanket and it got caught on one of the cardboard grass props and I froze and didn't know what to do so I stood and forgot all of my blocking and kept singing. Once during Aladdin Jr. (this was my most recent high school play) and during friend like me like the final dance my pants ripped i was like WELP
i was in les mis and during the epilogue this kid (who was swinging for the foreman) opened the fire alarm box (high school auditorium) and it was armed and started going off. literally less than 10 feet away from us valjean was telling cosette he was DYING and the ALARM WAS GOING OFF. i was eponine and waiting for my entrance but was high key freaking out. then one of the crew people ran behind the curtain, took off his shirt and muffled the sound. it eventually went off. also i love your shirts. also JEREMY JORDAN AHHHH.
When I did Peter Pan during a dramatic pause in the sad scene somebody in the audience goes “HEH HEH HA”
