God bless you G. Hope you and your doc figure that out. Shows a very high level of maturity making that decision based on your condition and knowing that your game may not be at level now. You’ll definitely be at the level again soon.
Sounds like something i dealt with for about 6 months from end of 2022 through the spring on 2023. If you don't already have one go to see an EP, an electrophysiologist, it's a heart doctor that specializes in the electric rhythm of the heart, honestly had no idea doctors like that existed till i was at my worst dealing with this in the hospital. I was having episodes multiple times a day and it was draining the life out of me, was scared to do anything really. i had two cardiac ablation surgeries over those 6 months and it changed my life, very safe and normal procedure and is the best way to get an idea of what's going on with the electric rhythm of your heart and if that's the issue. Sadly my issue stems more from the nodes on my heart not working properly, so to really fix it i'd need to have a procedure that has a high percentage of me needing a pacemaker if it doesn't go in my favor and at 26 years old, just doesn't make sense. But staying off caffeine, limiting how much sugar i take in, and being on medicine that controls it but doesn't mess with my energy level has made a worlds difference, i still deal with little blips but it's much more manageable and the biggest thing for me, i know why it's happening. The uncertainty during those 6 months was the hardest part to get through, just know if you're dealing with something similar it's not gonna kill you and you can fight through it, but it's good to really get to the root of the issues so you can move forward with out any uncertainty. You got it G!

I have been dealing with the same heart issue for 25 years. My advice is to give up all caffeine, and stay active. It never goes away, but become more manageable in stressful situations. Just remember its not life threatening and fight through it. The worst part is the lightheadedness and when you have an attack it drains your energy.

Prayers for you Garrett. 🙏🏻 I’m a pastor who struggles with anxiety issues and they’re no fun. Glad to see you’re taking care of you and not pushing yourself into situations that could agitate your heart. Props to you for taking about it. I’ve found it incredibly helpful to talk about the challenges of anxiety and realize that… there’s a freedom that comes when you don’t feel like you’re carrying it alone. Keep up the great content with GM Golf and GoodGood. 👊🏻

Definitely look into the sleep apnoea side of things too G. Take care and know all will be well, you’ve built and taken care of a beautiful team. They will do the absolute same for you.
I appreciate you sharing about your heart issue. I'm sure it's an uneasy feeling right now navigating all of that but I commend you on your ability to stay positive through it and to keep that going through all of the content you put out. I'll be praying for you and your doctor. I believe that it will get better and you can continue to provide great content and to be a great role model.
In 2018 I was having a similar experience, racing heart and lightheadedness. I had to wear an external heart monitor for a month and found out I have Ventricular Tachycardia. ICD implant and meds and it seems to be under control. My doctor didn't think it was anything major, told me the same to get more sleep and avoid stress. The only reason they caught mine was I had to be cleared by a cardiologist for a surgery for a totally unrelated thing. Heart issues can range from very minor to extremely deadly. I'm not a doctor so I won't give an opinion. I just hope your doctors can get it figured out. Much love and can't wait to see you in a qualifier one day.
Hope you and your doctor get to the bottom of it G. I had dealt with a bit of a heart issue (sort of like what you describe), during my studies. It was a stressful period in my life and I was also consuming excessive amounts of caffeine. I was never able to get a diagnosis but since I quit coffee and have been doing things to help with stress, no more heart palpitations / light headedness. Take care!
Totally understand where you're coming from with the health issue.I had a massive heart attack in 2015 where I ended up having three stents put in my arteries. So just to keep myself a little bit more level-headed I have shied away from playing any golf tournaments at all. And in the long run I find out am enjoying golf a lot more just enjoy the game and life.
Prayers Garrett, I developed palpitations and heart rhythm issues after getting Covid last year. Fortunately this medicine for rhythm/electrical signals has helped. Continued prayers for clarity, and that God has got you!
I would like you or GGG come north to the Midwest. We have a lot of good courses up here. one particular course is Bully Pulpit Golf Course in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in ND
Dealt with the same heart issues for over a 6mo period... really miserable. Not a lot of sleep and a lot of stress and caffeine. Cut back and prioritized SLEEP. The issues went away in a few weeks. Hope to see you better soon, G.
Hey Garrett i struggle with the same condition and have always wondered what it was. But im glad to see your taking your health seriously and looking out for yourself. Hope to see you better soon much love.
Garrett you’re an incredible golfer. You have recently talked about your poor putting, compared to most it’s very good. However, you watched brads putt on the first and did the same thing, in a previous vid someone said you had the homework but still got it wrong……
Just wanted to say I ll be thinking of you and praying your DR can get this under control for you. Stress is nothing to play around with, so I’m glad to hear you taking all the correct steps. As for coffee little bit of French vanilla cream and no sugar
I get the same thing. Been to different doctors over the years everything comes back normal. It normally happens when my adrenaline high. Like I'm amped up when play sports. Doesnt happen often but every few months as I don't play sports as often.
feel better Garrett A-fib is very common not life threatening just something you have to deal with unfortunately. As far as Collabs go would love to see you and Brad go against Mason and Cole that would be a great match with great energy!
Would love to see some scooty golf i know hes been at some of the good good evens recording but seeing him play golf is the best. A truly great character and good at golfing too
I just had the same thing with my heart Garret. Im only 34 and went into AFIB a couple of weeks ago and had a cardioversion to correct it. Stress, lack of rest and energy drinks definitely did not help.... lol, but get it checked out for sure!!
Would like to see you, Brad and Quan Take on Bob McIntyre🏴. he has moved to Florida and trying to break the PGA this year. Finished six in the Mexico open last week.
Hey Garrett, my brother in law had something like that. It ended being that he had 2 internal pace makers, with the second one only activating when his adrenaline was up. In the end, they carterized the second internal pace maker and cured him.
Garrett!! If you're ever in Arlington (city in between Fortworth & Dallas) try out Shady Valley country club. It's my home course, and a super fun one. I live on the 15th teebox, so if you ever decide to play come say hi.
Commenting from Birmingham, UK. Just paused the video and got my wife to listen when you mentioned the heart condition. Similar to other people in the comments I am literally going through this as we speak. I’m 29 years old, very fit and healthy and It started around 5 months ago when I collapsed for absolutely no reason. Since then, I get lightheaded whenever I get up or I’m bent down for a long period, also the anxiety and stress is certainly a trigger. Just a few days ago after several tests I have been told it could be something called Vasovagal Syncope. I have been told to cut out caffeine and drink as much water as possible which seems to be helping a lot. Still awaiting more tests. I’d be really keen to hear about your diagnosis as you move forward with docs. Really cool for you to talk about something like that when you have such a big platform to share. Crazy how many people are going through the same thing. Thanks
I really like seeing more full-blooded golf formats -- stroke and match play. Games and challenges are fun too, but I think you'd do well with more "serious" golf.
Hey G-Rat, agree with all the love in the comments. One added thing is breathing with your swing, personally if I hold my breath and swing big like on driver it almost always clicks out of place. Try swinging after you exhale and see if that helps, much love
My theory is that swinging hard with a full chest of air ends up squeezing my heart into an extra beat and it just tweaks out until I sit and chill for a minute ✌️
Garrett, the reason your game is off is as you admitted in a previous video you don’t practice. You also are highly involved in the continuing success of the your babies(Good Good Golf and GM Golf) that is a lot to do and expect you to keep your game top notch. Even the pros practice continually practice with coaches. The only way to keep your game sharp is to practice. Practicing could also be a psychological release for clearing your mind. Just you and your clubs. Forget al the business stuff for a few hours a week. Best of luck buddy!
Will Brad be playing in any pga events? Garrett, I agree with you out of all the original GM guys, I feel Grant has the game, not saying you don't. You are honest about yourself and what you're happy doing right now in your life..... props
Love seeing you play at Twin Creeks. Thats the confidence builder course when you had some off rounds. That house was under construction for 4 years if not more. Crazy.
I feel for you bother. Hope it isn’t anything serious and can be managed and monitored. I myself suffer from a ventricular septal defect and it has prevented me from continuing playing college soccer. I picked up golf as an alternative, but boy does it stress me out (especially with 15 year old clubs). Hope you get better g
@StevelandCleamer that's true based on their content styles but GM/GG had good success with BDS and with GM and KT/RW based three hours from each camp... I'd love to see Garrett and Brad try to keep it together playing against those guys.
@@wanttogetupgoahead that would be hilarious for sure. They’re both so freaking funny off the cuff. Set something up with the Bryan Bros on their course in South Carolina where you guys allow fans to come out and watch. Having spectators might get you in that tournament mindset. Added bonus for myself, I live in SC and would definitely come out and watch
You're having panic attacks my man, I've had the exact same issues for years and im slowly starting to learn to deal with them. I have no reason to be anxious and it took me a while to realise I had anxiety, It comes from nothing for no reason. Make sure you look after yourself, i take a very small dose of antidepressants (even though im not depressed) and they really do help. I was worried at first about them changing my personality but that turned out to not be the case after getting through the first couple months of side effects. Wishing you all the best man started watching you before 50k subs and loved watching your journey.
huge fan bro sorry to hear I had a similar thing when I was 16 I had fluid surrounding my heart which they theorize was caused from a cold and I heard covid might of had similar effects on some people u should get an ecg my surgery was nothing to crazy they did like a microscopic surgery to drain it and I am 25 now now and pretty athletic active guy hope some of this might help

Props to you for taking about it. I’ve found it incredibly helpful to talk about the challenges of anxiety and realize that… there’s a freedom that comes when you don’t feel like you’re carrying it alone.
Keep up the great content with GM Golf and GoodGood. 👊🏻
30 years ago anxiety was laziness, now with the Liberal world it means money for big pharma by selling pills to make you feel worse!
When you are on it you can compete with the best, you are doing what is best for you G, hope things get sorted, all the best.
Heart arrhythmia my dad deals with it, scariest shit when he has a flutter he goes full panic mode. He’s also being tested for sleep apnoea. Definitely look into the sleep apnoea side of things too G. Take care and know all will be well, you’ve built and taken care of a beautiful team. They will do the absolute same for you.
Great vid! Very cool of you to share about your health stuff. Sending prayers and positive vibes your way 😎
I really enjoy watching you two play. Chemistry is awesome and the golf is great. Keep them coming.
Totally get the heart problems, mine are PVCs and they suck, I can only imagine a worse arrhythmia like that, best of luck Garrett!

@@smevox7490 I honestly wonder if he had this issue before covid. Regardless that is a shitty thing to deal with

I agree with more concentration on stroke play. Love watching you play seriously
Had a very similar heart issue in my early 20s (SVT). Keep an eye on it but keep working! You got it!
Dealt with the same heart issues for over a 6mo period... really miserable. Not a lot of sleep and a lot of stress and caffeine. Cut back and prioritized SLEEP. The issues went away in a few weeks. Hope to see you better soon, G.
Keep doing what your doing now always happy to watch your content
I hope you feel better!
Would like to see a 1v1 - Grant vs Brad or a 3v3 Garret,Grant, Brad vs Mica, George ,Wesley
Hey Garrett i struggle with the same condition and have always wondered what it was. But im glad to see your taking your health seriously and looking out for yourself. Hope to see you better soon much love.
Wesley and george!!! Good good major will be fun to watch...
Garrett you’re an incredible golfer. You have recently talked about your poor putting, compared to most it’s very good. However, you watched brads putt on the first and did the same thing, in a previous vid someone said you had the homework but still got it wrong……
It’s great watching you guys play. Much better with stroke play.
Would love to see you guys play with Bryan Bros.
Get well soon my guy
I agree need some AJ! BrianBros, Mac Boucher!
Just played Twin Creels on Saturday and went bogey, bogey. Guess I'm ready to play for Good Good. Hit up for the Monterey trip.
18:52, Garrett just out there doing Garrett kinda things 😂
G Wizz......pun intended
Play a round with comedian Tony Hinchcliffe and/or Ron White. They live in Austin. Would definitely be amusing and bring the views.
I feel like that or Santino would be great, but it’s probably more suited to Bob does sports because of the nature of their work😂
@StevelandCleamer that's true based on their content styles but GM/GG had good success with BDS and with GM and KT/RW based three hours from each camp... I'd love to see Garrett and Brad try to keep it together playing against those guys.
@@wanttogetupgoahead that would be hilarious for sure. They’re both so freaking funny off the cuff. I figured BDS brings Tony on and work out a deal with Tony to get stage time for whoever loses their ongoing match for the five minute comedy set. I’m still waiting for the GG Dr Disrespect collab too. I’d love to see that, especially with that hilarious golf video Doc recently dropped😂
I can totally relate to brads putting and driving regression
I've been dealing with A-fib since I was 21. Hope you get things on track!
ONE OF US! On the first two holes at least….its all I’ve watched so far
Garrett giving shoutouts to thieves lol
if you're talking about the myrtle beach event, get over it. they're not handing the sponsor exemption spot to anyone, they're making someone earn it. there are no "thieves"
@@GaryCahuenga take some deep breaths friend I was talking about some random stealing Garrett’s rangefinder lol
Would love to see you guys play some Northern Michigan golf in the summer,
They are to soft to play in the North half of the US, shows when they whine about the temps in Arizona 🤣😂
Good wishes for your health. Would like to see you compete more in qualifiers and take your game more seriously in the future
I dig the stroke play. Get well soon G. Sounds like you might have Afib. Take care of yourself kid.
Look after yourself fella. Your health is more important than any golf game competition. On a plus note, these video types are awesome. Love to see more stroke play. Brilliant video as always.
