    Great video. I make bamboo arrows with self nocks. I always cut the shaft to size at the node. BTW, cotton wrapped Kevlar embroidery thread for fire proof suits makes an indestructible wrap. Loved your explanation of how to straighten bamboo shafts.

    Nice to see, Ive done some Bamboo arrows with adapters on both ends, they fly very well.
    Due to Im a Gap shooter, I start to use full length on the Bamboo arrows, and I have reduced the Gap a lot.
    For 9 years I cut my arrows wood or Bamboo, so only the tip was outside the bow on full draw.
    My reason for that was that I did bare shafts, and when they where straight in the target, that was my length.
    But now I changed that, never mind bare shafts, and I use full length instead, and I shoot much better.
    Now my Gap is maximum 20 cm 8 meters to 30 meter, point on at 24-25 meters

    Thanks for the feedback! Glad it was helpful. For feather and nock wrap, I use nylon or silk infused with bees wax and damar resin mix.

    Hello, thanks for the video. I was wondering if it was not possible to compress the whole shaft with a longer metal tube to get a perfectly straight shaft. Would it work?

    Thank you for the video. Do you feel that quick point change is only benefit of the aluminum adapters over plugging and tapering the shaft for tapered points?

    • @SeaDave
      @SeaDave 3 года назад

      No. The main advantage of the adapter is to save the shaft on hard impacts. The adapter will break thus conserving the shaft. In most cases you only need to screw on a new adapter. A hard impact with tapered points usually results in damage to the shaft.

    thank you for making this video. I have been looking for a while after just this kind of video :D
    btw, what was the spine on these arrows and the poundage of the bow shooting these arrows? :)

    • @SeaDave
      @SeaDave 7 лет назад +1

      Static spine of arrow is 75lb and the bow is a 60 lb static recurve. The point is 200 grain.

    Belle le frecce ,ma le nocche in plastica sul bamboo mmmhh, meglio in legno a mio parere, dopo certo ognuno ha la sua filosofia di pensiero
